Good luck with your planning of your 12 month trip of Aus. We've been on the road for a year last month and plan to go for a further year. We have a 19. 6 foot off road caravan. To enable more payload, we opt to only having one tank of water while travelling then with a water bladder fill up and transfer once you are set up in your destination. That's when you are off grid.
