I have a UC1 and UF1, I LOVE the 360 mixer and use it to get an initial SSL style mix using SSL's channel strips and now that we have 360 Link I can also integrate other strips (I have a lot of Softube by the way) and FX too, all this is seamlessly inside Studio One. I think the choice between the two comes down to how much you like the SSL and Softube emulations, visually what you'd prefer to see in front of you, and whether you think the 360 mixer is an advantage to you. 😎
One thing that always concerns me a bit with all those fancy be technical features like touch sensitivity on knobs and stuff, it is all additional vulnerable tech that can fail. It’s like it is with cars, more high tech means more often you have to get stuff fixed. More failure potential. The new softube fader mkii has haptic feedback on those faders, sure it feels nice but is it worth the price jump and do we really need it?
Not a fair comparison! You would have to use all 3 SSL pieces then its a different ball game, I had all 3 ssl controllers but went back to avid because I use pro tools and Eucon can’t be beat with cubase pro tools and logic.mixing is great on the ssl but avid gives me way more control. I’ve had 3 console 1 controllers and sold them everytime, now I had my wife order the mkIII for my birthday we’ll see what happens. I could tell from the beginning of the video that ZndBorn was a console one person
I thinkt the ssl uc1 is strange with its functions. Why is the the bus compressor on the chanel strip, but no aux sends or no single fader? And than they create an app to control plugins (which is super cool) but they dont allow you to remap the most useless thing on it, which is the bus compressor controls. I think pritty much all of these controlrs need ti become more fexible, is it so hard to make it so that xou can remap the buttons????
@TinelCH 🤦♂️ my camera mic has a safety function where it records in stereo and the left side is 5 dB louder than the right. (In the case you record too hot) I didn't pick and convert a side to mono. Missed this in post sigh...
As far as looks goes console 1 is definetly 👎🏾. Not even close. SSL UC1 just looks plain awesome. The kind of control surface i feel proud of having it gracing my desk. Now if there was no UC1 to compare to would i still consider console 1, most definetly. The next thing i dont like with Console one is not seeing the plugins main interface. Dont like that graphical flat look at all and can only see myself messing with this type of plugin look if the performance was significantly superior to similar plugins.

Does the 360 offer a particular advantage over the Console One?
Fun and informative content Bro! Welcome Back!
Nice Video! I agree that SSL uf8 and UC1 need to work together as better eco system! LCD screen updates on console one is a gamechanger
good to se you back!
Very nice! Thanks so much for this shoot out! You helped a lot in my decision!!
💪🏾💪🏾Thanks for watching!

Thanks for this video dude. Just wondering if your pick would change any if you were going to do most of your mixing with UAD DSP plugins?
I have the MK3. Does anyone know why it makes DAWs lag? And hownto fix that issue.
Love these videos bro
Great video!
Why does bro sound like psycho mantis when he goes behind the camera?

What's with the phasey comb-filtery voiceover?

@@ZndBornMixedIt just seemed odd, wanted to point it out to you so it doesn't happen again :) 👍🏼💪🏻
I just can't get behind Softube's GUI. It looks uninspiring and kinda sterile. The SSL 360 GUI is way more inviting.
Only if the UC1 had a fader.
With 360 link SSL has the edge.
Voila !

Imagine it’s SSL’s 1st form 😂 and Softube is in their 3rd evolution….
Yes but SSL is the fabricator and designer of the best consoles in history.

For the moment I'm sticking with SSL, since Softub doesn't support plugins from other brands, bad, very bad...
I saw that softube works with PRO Q3 and other plugins....I don t know how many...
@@QuantizStudioRecords I can use my Console MKII with Cubase 13 Pro and with a native SSL Channel Strip 2 and Mix bus or what ever plug in you want.
