A huge thing is recontextualizing the adrenaline feeling.
    1. "I feel butterflies in my stomach"
Your body is temporarily pausing your digestion to focus all of its energy into your muscles
    2. "I feel so anxious that Im shaking"
Your body is making you hyper focused on danger and giving you a massive boost of energy. You're shaking because you're literally overflowing with energy and power
    3. "My punches feel really weak, and my fingers feel tingly and numb"
Your body is numbing you to pain, and your punches feel weak because you usually measure power by how the impact feels on your fists and arms. If you're numb to that feeling, you'll feel weak. This is an illusion. You're more powerful than ever.
Basically, when that adrenaline comes, realize that you aren't shutting down. You're actually turning into a powerful fighting machine.

I don't know if other people are the same, but I don't get the adrenaline kick until the fight is actually happening. The butterflies and shaking are just prefight jitters, I'm assuming caused by nervousness. I don't think it's adrenaline. But when the actual beating starts, I get a massive surge of pain tolerance and energy that lasts for hours and hours. The effect is also way way way stronger in a real street fight vs a boxing match or bjj, etc. Even tournament stuff. I don't think I even slept for a day after my first big street fight. And it wasn't because of the broken off front tooth keeping me awake.

Thanks for the comment! Thank God I never got into a fight and I hope that it will stay that way, but when I was near a situation where a fight was about to break out I started to get these feelings, and despite being a big guy and having some knowledge in self defense, I felt like I couldn't even punch a fly and it kind of shook my self confidence in being able to defend myself or others, so it's good to know it is just the body preparing you.

It's good to know how to fight for self-defense, but other than that, most of the reasons why young men fight for are pretty fucken stupid and they can get themselves seriously injured just because they are too insecured to avoid it and still maintain their confidence.

Hey, I’m usually very passive for some reason. And whenever I act masculine and agrsssive, it’s gets read more corny then actually dangerous. Yesterday, this guy kept picking on me trying to fight me in class, the teacher kept trying to stop him but he wouldn’t budge, until another teacher took him into another room next to the classroom. I acted like the class clown/pet so I could be liked, but no one liked me, and they take his side. She even didn’t let me get water for a whole hour after begging her in a cowardly way. My friend warned me saying “don’t push”, trying to get me not to fight him. As a pussy response, i said “I’m not even mad”. We went outside in the hallway after class, the last class of school so school had ended, he kept talking shit to me, and i kept taking it like a pussy, until i snapped. I got so angry I made him get a two-piece combo to his face, and he was bleeding and shit being accompanied by everyone. Even when i went to an after school program, people who i knew there saw it and said that I won and started respecting me more. He did land a few hits on me, and he did actually hit me first. I couldn’t control myself while fighting, I had my guard down, and just throwing random punches. How do i control this so I know how to fight even in these situations? I joined a kickboxing and bjj gym recently too, so hope that helps.

Its better to fight the ringers and lose often, you will learn way more than beating a bunch mutts and thinking you have superior skills that will fall apart when you have to deal with the ringers...keep standing brother.

just to throw this story out there about 2 years ago there was this kid that keeps on bothering me, insulting me and mocking me 24/7 he was bigger than me he was confident asf and i was scared shitless😂 and for about 2 days he keeps on bothering me and finally i see him face to face and told him that i didnt wanna fight him. fast forward a day later his friend told me that hes been talking shit abt me behind my back. i was pissed off and i came to see him and we both knew its going down he was motivated asf and i was there shaking because its my first ever fight. he pushed me and i puched him multiple times in the head until he ducks down looking like hes about to cry and that was when i realise not everyone that talks shit can back it up so the conclusion is.. if youre getting into a fight know that most of the time its not as bad as you think *keep in mind to always avoid fighting and dont overconfident if youre about to fight someone dont overthink it just go out there and kick some ass👊🏻😂

It's almost the same story as mine. I got into my first fight when I was 12, and i was tired of getting bullied. I told him I didn't wanna fight, then he pushed me. I stayed calm and punched him several times on his face. Then he bit my arm. And because of that, he left an opening to his face, I punched him straight on his eyes. He got purple eye for a week I think.

Why should you be nervous before a street fight? I mean, the best way to win a fight, is just to not believe that you can lose. If you're going to fight somebody, you just have to truly believe that there is no chance for you to lose. You gotta focus and keep calm. That's what I think. Of course you should know how to fight when you're going into a fight with this mindset. This might seem arrogant and maybe stupid, but I mean, if you're going to a street fight and you believe you'll win, and people can see that in your mimic, your opponent might quit before or during the fight. You don't only fight physically, but also mentally. Think of that.

don't even worry about the damage the body is tougher and more resilient than alot of people give it credit for. the minute you land a good shot that hurts them, no amount of adrenaline will help, their body. will cringe or go limp (uf you knock them out) as a defense mechanism to protect itself. Unless you continue to beat them after to bloody plump of coarse lol and then your in a whole nother legal issue. If that happens you better hope you told this person to meet you in a dark lonely alley or the middle of nowhere and you have a tarp, rope and you car handy lol, btw disclaimer: í dont advocate murder lol

This kind of response is normal and controllable to a certain extent anyway. This "blacking out" is mostly triggered by fear or pure adrenaline. Fear is often caused by not knowing, so if you learned more about self defense then you would eventually learn to control your natural responses to danger. Eventually is a key word in that sentence. I would advise a martial art that teaches control as much as actual combat skills.
Then again its your life and your choice, just consider your options.

Very accurate about the arms. Feels like jello, think like you’re not hitting hard, and slow, but if you stress test enough, your able to subside some of the nerves and become more conscious of where you are and what your doing. Nervousness doesn’t completely go away, but does subside some the more you do it. Stressful situations are a great training aid but nothing compares to the actual experience.

1 - Let them do the talking. Talking when a fight is about to go down is a for sure sign of fear. 2 - walk them down. If they are circling and backpedaling they are scared (unless they are a known trained fighter). 3 - Contrary to popular belief, get in close, and don't be afraid to clench. Only trained fighters know how to land an upper cut. People land wild overhand punches when you are far back. Watch Evander Holyfield fight Tyson. Tyson is a world champion. He lost because Holyfield wasn't afraid to get in close. When someone is dancing and swinging wildly, move in. It shows you are not scared and they will get flustered. Most people don't wanna fight, they just want to act hard. Settle down, hands up, move in, let them do the talking and backpedaling. 99% of regular Joes are not prepared for an actual fight and are just acting for the crowd.

Although if I were to give you an instant, somewhat go-to quick advice, tuck your chin down, hands up, elbows close to your body, look at their eyes at every moment and make sure to not end up on the ground unless you got some ground game... Shane you forgot a couple of real important ones:
    - Be aware of your surroundings at all times, not just on the ground. If people are watching your fight, know that at any time someone from the crowd can come an sucker punch you. I have seen that happen way too many times in streetfight videos. Just because you beat him, does not mean you are 100% safe. His friend may be seeking revenge right after.
    - If you can avoid it, do not let him get within your punching range or point blank range and touch foreheads/chests with him. Because 1s one to throw or sucker punch will usually win.
    - Expect the unexpected. There are no rules, don't limit your mind to what you think will be thrown at you. There will be chaos. Keep calm and do not get thrown off it it happens.

I remember my very first street fighting.. My body tremble really hard since I don't have any experience in a street fight
I'm afraid if I hurt this guy, police will come and arrest me.. And I'm afraid I'll lose and getting hurt so bad
We fight because he spill my soda. Well, I was 17 at that day.. I'm so cocky to challenge someone
At the end he whooped my ass so bad, he threw a coin and said "Go buy another soda, kid"
    I'll never forget that day

Here is a very good tip: whenever someone is getting close to you and keep pushing you, that means they are about to knock you out, trust me. So in order to prevent that from happening, knock them out first by punching them with a hook, then with the knee in the head, so that their nose bleeds, and then they will fall down if your punches are strong enough. After that you can just continue to hit them with your legs if you want or you can just leave them laying on the floor and go away. Hope this helped.

My tip to win a fight is to discombobulate them by causing damage to the brain and finish them off by knowing where to hit. You don't need to be Bruce Lee or grab rice in the air with chopsticks you just need to try and hit these areas
    1. Lower side area below the ribs of the body
    2. Temple area of the head
    3. Hook or uppercut to the chin
    4. crotch.
    5. Thigh ( if it's a fight that last abit longer and you want to setup the keys to drop them to ground easier turn go for it but try to use your fist instead of kicks. )

Just some guy on youtube hitting someone in the head is usually a bad idea as without gloves or conditioning your hands will break.

    • @monkeydimension472
      @monkeydimension472 4 года назад

@white dead There really isn't a instant way to fix your issue but a temporary solution would be to just open palm strike with your left hand instead of hitting with a closed fist or to use wraps and padding. Even If your hands are conditioned you still should never hit using full strength in a fight with bare fists unless you are hitting soft areas or are weak. Bare knuckle fighters hands are super conditioned but they break all the time even when using less power so you shouldn't focus too hard on making your hands unbreakable but It is good to condition.

At our school, we have Fight Me Friday. It's exactly what it sounds like: people get into fights on Fridays. And strength is dominance in our school. The strongest kids are at the top of the social hierarchy and the not so strong kids are on the bottom. I'm the strongest girl, therefore I'm close to the top. We have turf wars with kids from other schools - not even joking. I'm the only girl who goes and we have 1 V 1 type things with groups of 3-6. It's chaos.

    • @nuk3407

This is where i did wrong yesterday. A dude said "punch me if your a man" and I threw a quick left hook to his chin and then he bent his head over and threw like 2 overhands or haymakers or whatever you wanna call it. I evaded them and threw a right hook as a counter punch right to the temple and then he used option B which was his wrestling. The fight got broken up and he didnt land a single punch. Anyways i believe i should've overwhelmed him with multiple combos after the left hook at first instead of just throwing it and not following up with multiple punches.

If your fighting someone there’s probably a 85% chance they don’t know what they are doing and will most likely gas out throwing hay makers. In the meantime hold your guard and stay light on your feet.(be sure not to over exert yourself during this stage of the fight because if the person your fighting is being aggressive they have 30 seconds left until they gas out) when u start to see your opponent show signs of fatigue like mouth breathing or deep chest inhales, that’s when u go on the offensive and if u don’t know how to fight the non dominant jab is your best friend keep your dominant hand close to your chin incase they try to counter(they most likely won’t because they’re tired) and when u see an opening u throw the dominant straight. And most importantly when throwing punches your objective should be to punch through them and not at them. Hope this helped Good luck!
