I've noticed a little annoying trend by some of these commentators, who pick the athlete that finishes 2nd and explain that that athlete simply "waited too long" before they surged ...thus costing them the victory.😕 Like. ..stfu , how about the actual winner is simply FASTER and won. I would love to see koch’s “record” broken, and Naser gave me the hope it might be coming soon. However, Naser has failed to show up for 3 consecutive drug tests, which puts her achievements under a huge question mark. It’s such a pitty we can no longer enjoy clean athletes and real records.
2023 should be good. Miller-Uibo is out having a baby, but Naser will be back and could regain her 2019 form. McLaughlin and Bol might be contenders. Could see a new world record.
The diving giantess Bahamanese ran away as usual. Before the IAAF used the arbitration court ban Salwa, the giantess was talking of running only the 200m. When it was evident Salwa wasn't gonna whoop her ass in Eugene and Tokyo, she came back to the 400m.
Shaunae had way too much left in the tank. Should have taken it out a bit quicker, it was too conservative of a start. Congrats to Salwa on a great race.
At 9:04, She is still breathing quite heavily after 5 minutes past the end of the race. It's nonsensical to think she could have done better after running half a second faster than she has ever run. It's a pity that she changed name, nationality and even religion. What must have been the reason?
@Joyce Williams I mean, she can still change country and religion, but changing name is kinda extreme. We have Courtney Okolo, Chijindu Ujah, Christine Ohuruogu, etc. They are rocking their birth names and are superstars and didn't need to change name to be one.

Crikey that was rapid. Great times across the board. Naser is fairly slightly built for a sprinter but man she's quick. Lovely smooth action too.

Nasser seems to belong to that small group of 400m sprinters who has 'natural' speed endurance. Others I would put in that category are Wade VN (SA) and Zambrano ( Columbia ). Others who seem to have it are Michael Norman ( although he didn't show it so much in this championship ) and L Santos (DR). She was outstanding here!

Hmm not too sure I agree with your analogy, because on the diamond league Circuit Shaunae was the one to always pull away from Naser and was the favorite to win this race. I think Salwa changed her strategy and caught Shaunae off guard and by time she responded it was too late.
I've noticed a little annoying trend by some of these commentators, who pick the athlete that finishes 2nd and explain that that athlete simply "waited too long" before they surged ...thus costing them the victory.😕
