Hey guys, welcome to tank mechanic simulator. On today's episode we're gonna mechanic this tank and maybe even sell it for money if we're feeling crazy.
" I found a Buried Tank & Repaired it for Major Profits" Finds a halftrack and sells it without repairing it Finds another halftrack and ends the video without repairing it
Yes i agree with you like in the 3rd episode he looks for a tiger instead he finds a panzer 3 JD tank even though tiger's are really rare and only started to make tiger's in 1940 and there are no tiger thanks in Europe well i don't think
I was so excited and happy that the first "tank" he found was a halftrack! I love those things. There's just something about them that seem so appealing. I was so sad and disheartened when he immediately sold it without doing anything with it though. I was slightly happier again when he got a second one and decided to keep it. :D Edit: I was extremely heart broken when he decided to just sell it the next episode because he didn't deem it "worthy" of his first repair. Drae hurts my soul.

Thumbnail : Panther Tank. Video: Two Half-tracks that Drae keeps trying to sell us as tanks, like a Used Car Salesman and a KV-1. Me : My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
A little trick when sandblasting: blast everything from 1 direction then blast everything from the other direction. Helps to avoid misses. (I'm a professional sandblaster spraypainter)
That half track is probably as good as your going to find, it's only missing one track wheel and the tracks themselves and half a hood... assuming nothing else needs to actually be replaced it should make for a good first addition to a museum. Personally I'd love to drive one of them irl.
The KV’s front layout is inaccurate. The driver would be on one side and a machine gunner on the other side. The driver seat was never placed in the middle.
It's an SdKfz 251 Half Track, sometimes known as the "Hanomag". It was a standard German frontline troop transport, used to bring along the panzergrenadiers that were accompanying tank divisions.
Oh what you found was a Sd.Kfz. 251 the full name being "Schützenpanzerwagen Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251" The official designation is halftrack but tank works just fine. It was an armoured personell carrier (APC) in this case though in an IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) configuration with a MG 34/43 mounted to the top with some extra shielding. Used by the german reich in the second world war.
Drae, please pay attention to the UI on the RHS. There is a percentile indicator that shows you the progress of cleaning, rust removal, etc, for the active part you are working on, not just the overall figure. Many times you moved on before it finished... from 9:10 is one example.
Drae! Those "tanks" you found in this episode would be half-track APCs (Armored Personnel Carriers). That first one did not have a turret. As you could guess by the name, they're meant to take people closer to the front lines, usually in escort of tanks, and only have armament for on-foot enemy removal. And you should DEFINITELY keep the second one you found. It doesn't look half bad. If need be, keep it in storage until you get more money. Get new parts slowly, and have it be an over-arching "personal project" type of deal. I think that'd be awesome, at least.
Thanks for sharing man! Love these kind of games! Long drive and pottery but without the remote! Wood shop! Anything without the controller! Cooking chef was awesome
First ''Tank'' is actually a German 'Half-track', Half-tracks are troop transport. The German Half-track had 2 MG42s, one facing the back (as seen) and one facing the front (the machinegun guards are on the front), the front facing MG42 is seen on the last Half-track that you find.
You can select the quality of parts you buy, when you buy them through the store on the computer or tablet. Pick the rusty parts, then you put the part on and just remove rust, sand, prime and paint the part. A part that costs $200+ to buy in its finished state will be like $15 or cheaper, in its rusted condition. That's how you make good money restoring a tank to 100%. Buying the parts via the tank analysis page's list (the buy all missing parts option) is always the most expensive way to get the missing parts.
That "first tank" is the German equivalent to the American half track armored personnel carrier. Usually mounted with a machine gun
Yes it’s called the sonderkraftfahrzueg 251 or in German: armored multi-role vehicle very great in the early Blitzkrieg like in France
It isn't really a tank
Fun fact there were several built in Indiana but never made it there because war were declared.
ya. i think it was the mg32. one on the front and one on the back. nasty machine gun 800 to 900 round per minute
ive seen a variant with a light artillery gun on that top rail.
