I recently learned jamboree does hidden blocks differently they aren't set at the beginning of the game they spawn at the start of each players turn at a small chance with 3rd and 4th having slightly higher chance so a hidden blocks can be on a space already visited oh if it's a star or coins is still completely random
Before the video actually starts im gonna guess the gimmick is everyone's gonna mash their way through all the rolls and menus and end the mini games as fast as possible, so literally start and end the game as fast as possible, letting the cards land where they may as they go. My fix for the Creepy Dice: using a mushroom while affected would mean you get +5 to your roll of 1-3, and for dice items you would roll that number of 1-3 dice, so you can still burn an item to help you miss a bad space right in front of you, while still getting a nerf from being hit by the creepy die
Landing on the most happening spaces can get you one of the bonus stars. Because of boo, stars will consistently be stolen throughout the game, so you typically don't want to be in first because your stars will just be stolen. Much better to plan for the endgame and try to make a big swing when there's not much time left for your opponents to counter it. Still get stars, but not so many that you become a target. Mushrooms are good because a) moving the most distance can net you another bonus star, and b) you can move around the board much faster, meaning you can visit boo more times, get more coins from the start, have a better chance at winning allies, and visit more shops (which can also be a bonus star). It's also just handy in general to have more control over your dice roll. And, it means more opportunities to get stars the regular way. All around, better movement is almost always a positive and the mushroom tickets enable consist high rolls.
Skipping stars and going for mushrooms and happenings isn’t the meta for this Mario Party, just this round of Mario Party. The reason why they’re skipping stars at the start is due to the fact that if u’re first in the early game of a 30-turn game by the later half of the game everyone will gang up on you and therefore you will be the target and having less opportunities to win, so they only decide to target stars in the late game. Now in this case Jacob is going for the happening in hope of getting a bonus star. Especially if you have most of your happenings in the start game you won’t really get affected by it since the game is far from over. The Mushrooms tickets (specifically for this board) are super overpowered item. They’re just act like a normal mushroom (adding +5) but u have the chance to get 2-4 uses out of it, this is random btw. So basically you can guarantee getting +5 in your next 3-4 turns by the price of only 6 coins. It’s crazy good especially in this board since it’s linear so movement is very important, plus you get the chance to win the sightseer bonus star
4:13:46 I agree, I played it once on a double coin round and got 150 coins after it doubled. It is hilarious, but it balloons the economy so dang much.
