I saw 2001 when it originally came out in a theatre in London in 1968 . Can you imagine the effect it had on us back then? There was nothing remotely like it around.

As soon as you find a moment where there are no stresses in your life... Throw on some sound canceling headphones... Turn the volume up.... Sit back.... and listen to these songs. Truly Amazing!
You see a lot of people making their own music videos but this is perhaps one of the most tasteful and well thought out ones that I've ever seen. Very good job man.
I have realized how fortunate we are to find artists like Giaa and uncover such meaningful songs. For those who have not heard this song, for those who have not truly absorbed the melody of these amazing tracks... I am so sorry. And only wish that maybe one day, you'll understand.
After those years they are still the best, it is still the best music, this is still the best scifi movie. Everything is literally perfect about it and I am so glad I am a part of it. Listen to this masterpiece live, twice. Definitely an amazing and outworldy experience. Long live GiaA. We love you.
I just heard this song for the first time. My jaw was literally on the floor the whole time I was listening to it. I cannot express, or even comprehend who awesome and mind boggling this song is!
I've been a fan for a few years now, and I love all of their music... but this song in particular (coupled with one of my favorite movies of all time) still gives me chills in all the right ways. Love the double bass!!
When I was little I liked very few songs, but listening to them always sent shivers down my spine. Now I like hundreds, even thousands of songs, but this one is the only that still has that effect on me. It is simply inexspressively beautiful.

I just listenend to this song and now I can't go to sleep; my heart is racing sooooo much right now!!! Its incredible what you can do with music...simply breathtaking.
***** Hi dude, I rarely comment here but could you share some director names or movies titles that can be in the same style as Kubrick or Lynch, or really any movie that has a mindtwisting plot? It'd be really appreciated, thanks!
...hey, very nice, dude; I dont know how I ran into this band; guess I was searching stuff, music stuff; and I really found a great thing...saludos desde la Republica Dominicana.
this is still hands down the best video i have ever seen on youtube. i first saw this about 2 years ago and still watch it to this day. also, if you have access to a blu-ray player, i highly recommend watching 2001 on blu-ray. it is absolutely breathtaking.
listen to that double bass at the end, pure beauty right there. absolutely mind blowing song.. good job on the video mixing as well, really enhanced the overall feel of the song.
I dont know about you guys, but no matter what music is on my phone, I am always smashed right back on to this track. It is so beautiful, powerful, intense, it just has everything.
God is an Atronaut.Wich Words deserves to declare the beautiful and profound chimes of this Band?I hear the Band so often late in the night or rather early in the morning when yesterday is over but tomorow isnt dare yet. A Storm of Instrumentalic Impacts wich force up second to second. Its like a Hurricane. The calm before the Storm then whenn the Storm caught everything and after this struggle silence, harmonic silence. Thumbs up for God is an Astronaut!
the PERFECT song for the PERFECT moment. tears rolled down my cheeks- so much emotion. love it. when a song can stirr you up inside you know its one to never forget.

Two masterpieces sticked together, one of th greates movie ever made in our history, and same to say for the music either ... our day is saved for now.
GIAA has all the elements...a kick ass guitarist/sound textures, jazz-skilled drummer, and a rock-solid bassist. This might be the most underrated band in the world...
This video pairs so perfectly with the imagery from 2001 its uncanny. It exudes all the melancholy and strangeness of it. Perfect editing too. Very rarely do I find a Song+Movie sequence that doesn't suck.
I beg to differ, been listening to post rock and instrumental rock since 2006 and it has grown substantially since then. I believe this has already become mainstream with bands like Sigur Ross, Explosions in the Sky, and Mogwai having more than 2 million views on certain videos. Never the less, I'm glad to know people are finally realizing how amazing post rock is.

This is the standard for user made videos. Outstanding work. Thanks for sharing this with the earth.
