At 120k miles, this 911 has been driven more than the entire Ferrari factory output in 1985.

Bought mine for $14k back in ‘01. It definitely has gotten more beautiful with age somehow. I think it’s due to most modern cars looking the same. These old 911s really stand out and are not flashy like some higher end sports cars. Everywhere I go, it’s smiles, thumbs up and inquiries about selling.

Oh, my beloved 1967 Porsche 912 Targa with Soft rear window. Full convertible. Sublimely smooth. Bought it for $8,000. Harry Pellow rebuilt my engine. Sold it for $26,500. Found it last year on an auction site. $134,000.

The PERFECT Porsche. One that is driven daily, and enjoyed!

That's a true Porsche fan right there. Knows it's not some six figure trailer queen, doesn't care, loves it as it is and takes as good care of it as he can. Great little car. Love the 80s synthwave music accompanying the beauty shots of this 80s icon too!

I'm on the other coast and it would sell around here for more than $50k right now. Air-cooled 911's are hot here. Really enjoyed the video and I love the car.

Bought my 87 911 Targa 25 yrs ago. Had a refresh done last year. Upper end engine, all suspension, fuel system, brakes, clutch, hoses and more. The refresh cost more than purchase price. Carmine Red, never seen a snowflake or rain drop.

The big wild card with these cars is the condition of the engine. A 120k 911 will likely need valve guides, and a top end rebuild for these cars ha gotten ridiculously expensive. The puff of smoke on startup would at least make me want to do a compression and leak down test. The bottom end is likely fine, but that was a big dose of smoke..

It's awesome to see he drives it regularly, not just the weekend sunny day drive car.

I will be honest - I didn’t have Chris pegged as a Porsche guy. Super cool car. Glad he loves and appreciates it.

My buddy bought an 89, first year of the awd, it had 169,000 miles on it and was about 15 years old at the the time, I was simply shocked at how solid that car was, it drove better then my 3 yo Camaro with the SS package and mine only had 15k miles. Porsche builds rock solid 911’s, it is a sweet ride.

Lots of comments on the smokey start up. Every car that i have ever owned that did this ran till it rusted apart. A little oil in the cylinders on startup is great. The dirtier engines run for an eternity.

Hmmm, very good info for me! I have been chasing a car in my parent's neighborhood that hasn't moved since '90. It's almost exactly like this, an 85 Targa but it's red. It only has 4,000 miles on it. It has been stored in a garage and the cover has only been off since it's been stored a few times. Needs a ton of TLC I'm sure to be able to run, but it's nearly perfect condition. Maybe I will talk the nice old lady into a deal one of these days!

Nice to see Chris drives this car. I had an '84 Cab when I lived in SoCal and drove it daily for years. Also had a '87 Turbo. Another wonderful car. Love the drivers.

Interestingly, Hagerty appraised my Dad's 60 VW Bug Convertible for $50k. The VW has been in the family since 1963 and has the original engine and trans, interior has been replaced, but everything else is original. My Dad drives it several days a week. His mouth dropped when the appraiser said $50k.

Valve stem seals are toast. Probably needs a complete top end rebuild, but I'd pay the 37.5K that Chris valued it at. 50K? nah.
