Trevor Nelson is the Digital Editor and for the first time in front of the camera, he raced the 2023 Glen Helen 24-Hour Endurance race, only he did it all by himself, in the Ironman class. Trevor wears a lot of hats, he does all our photos and videos, designs our magazine covers, designs logos, designs ads for the magazine and website, and goes to the races to film and take photos as well. In this video, MXA's Josh Mosiman gets behind the camera to follow the action of Trevor on the 2024 Honda CRF250RX and Zac Commans on his Kawasaki KLR650 dual sport bike.

I learned a few things during the filming of this episode… Trevor is one stubborn fella. And, it’s not easy being the video guy😂
Why mustard?
Good job! Love doing ironman and I'm 58. You have to stop every 2 laps and eat something. Calories are hard to get in when your body is in shock but you have to shove food in. Find about 10 places per lap to drink from your tube every single lap. And I always take a supply of some kind of energy gels with me in the backpack. If I feel my decision making getting funky or legs start to lock up, stop and eat a couple of energy gels plus I eat 2 every time I pit. Lastly you have to drink as much pickle juice as you can possibly stand throughout the race. It's the cramp killer and cramps will ruin the entire day.
Congrats Trevor well deserved !!!!
From the 2022 Ironman 6th place finisher to the 2023 Ironman 6th place finisher, I feel for ya buddy! congrats on finishing it I know how much the last hours of the dark suck!
I loved your RUclips video Couch to Glen Helen Ironman! Congrats to anyone who can finish Ironman!
@@TheFreerider1987 Thank you! it was a fun project. Keep a heads up I have a new project coming for 2024!
Mad respect, Trevor! Well done! Props to all who supported him! Will look for Trevor at the Vet Championships this weekend and give him a high 5!
Camera guy (Trevor) is hilarious and awesome. Nice job forging through and succeeding! I felt his pain through the screen when it hit the 3:00am mark though 😅 Awesome job overall fellas great content 🤙🏾
Amazing job Trevor!!!
Love this stuff!
😂 Fout seems like such a good dude to have in the pits.
Dang Josh, I mean Dirk, nice stash!
did a 4 hour race once solo...was sore for a week afterward
24 hours on a dirt bike is insane! Good job MXA crew! I got tired just watching 🤣
I did some serious suspension testing this year. Riding for hours is very different and requires a different suspension setup. You sit much more than normal and that changes the balance of the bike. I was surprised how different my settings were from my standard off road racing set up. Just something to pay attention to if you want to last as long as possible.
It's amazing how clapped one gets from these 24hr races! Enduro is right
I'm re breaking my 24 hour motocross world record in June next year
👍👌
Why mustard?
Has vinegar in it, fights cramps.
I'd skip the ribs on the seat for 24 hrs.
Who won it? Why couldn’t he win with all that support that was given to him. My brother won it with a bone stock gas gas and a family member pit crew. Probably deserves a shout out Zac Luce 299. Did 50 laps in 24 hours.
Putting the oil filter in backwards seems to be a honda/kawi problem, my ktms and suzukis just wouldnt let me, they dont fit backwards
