- 24 hours of tradition, speed, and clapped-out motorcycles - this is the Glen Helen 24-Hour Endurance Race, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC style. In episode 2 of the series we start work on our $1500 dirt bikes and do some serious testing to see how the bikes hold up.
In our newest cheap bike challenge, we’re testing if $1,500 motorcycles can make it 24 hours straight. The 24-Hour Endurance Race at Glen Helen was the perfect backdrop for our new series. Situated on a mountain side and maintained as one of the premiere motocross tracks in the nation, Glen Helen is host to one of the toughest and longest races in the industry. We’ve already survived some pretty crazy challenges, so what’s one more?

Glad y’all are funding this series. This is awesome. This kind of content puts you guys in the league with top MC channels.
I definitely try to support the channels I like and I hope others do as well. I will be ordering some ramps from you all very soon. Please keep making awesome content!
Glad you enjoy it!
Would love to get an in depth video explaination on how to tune the carb with different jettings, float height and everything! Charles the man!
Crashes are only fun to watch if the rider can get up and crash again. Thanks for posting!! 💪
watching these from England, can't say how great these series are, and yes i know i am 2 years late - thanks
Better late than never! - Chase
Those WRs are my favorites. I don't know why. Can't find much info on them but I just like them.
Yeah, pretty fun for old bikes! -Charles
man the color ways and graphics peaked in the 90's especially those KDX graphics
No sure if you are being sarcastic or not but I love it, maybe its because I grew up in the 90s but to me the art style and colors of the era fit the "extreme sports" perfectly
he just runs away from the crash but stays on the track lmao. guess he was just running away from the pain but forgot about the multiple motorized machines barreling down on him 🤣
No wheelies from Justin, glad you’re going to be all right. Better pit for Chase he’s going to need the help.
Thanks a lot! bummed I missed this, but I'll be back! - Justin
Awesome video, it would be cool to see a bit more of mechanic work
Man I love these cheap bike challenges you guys do🤙🏻🤙🏻
Daaaamn! Charles is the best! :) :)
I grew up with YamaThumb! I was glad to see It....1978 yz100 at 12 years old
A gear low and pinned? Isn't that how everyone rides every old two-stroke??? :P
I had one of those WR 250s absolutely loved it. would love to have one again.
The best!
Chase is a horrible mechanic 😱 but nice dude, good luck Eric!
Ouch! Hey, I get an A for effort! - Chase
@@rmatvmc yeah you are right sorry. Go team Hurricane 😄
Lmfao! The WR250 came with full graphics spittin roost off the burm. Chance’s bike is a Piece!
16:45 When you try to ride a two stroke like a four. Pin it Ronnie style 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Glad your okay Justin!
Thanks! I am on the mend, but it will be a while :) - Justin
When he was riding the 25” around the parking lot u can see the back brake shaking 😂😂
You could see clearly that chase isn't that used to or familiar with a two stroke which miles away from a fourstroke.
It really make you feel dull after you switch from fourstroke to 2stroke
You're right. It was a learning curve while riding those bikes. But it was a blast! Makes me want one! I think a 150 would be the perfect all-around bike. - Chase
@@rmatvmc yes that should be fun. I currently had a 125 2stroke which is a local enduro bike but yeah it feels really good once I got the hang out of it. although I miss the overall control that a fourstroke gives.
Anyways congrats this is another great video series you released.
Teams are cool, but everyone should help everyone else. It’s about the experience.
Seized idle screws are so annoying. Living in a saltwater environment, I bought a few bikes with seized screws. Siezed mixture screws suck too
I’m like that guy who like to buy a lot of spare parts even I didn’t need it yet,It’s let me get comfortable to ride it hard and when something broke i got spare parts on hand already 😆
What mix oil you using in that bike Eric?
How did the reeds look on the bike with the carb issues??
They were in great shape. The timing plate on the stator was destroyed and the reason for the issues. - Chase
Hmm there's something familiar about these bikes. Wait a minute, that looks awfully like a WR250Z... Look how they massacred my boy!!!
Lmaoo I love my WR250, so this video stung a little bit
Wait what happened to the KDX?
Yeah, they didn't address that very well. Once they found the 2nd WR, they ditched the KDX and got their money back. - Justin
@@rmatvmc ahh makes sense
2 months and on a cane??? Hospital did some good work on you.
I was closer to a year before I could switch to a cane. I had a really nasty femur explosion though.
Dang! I am sorry to hear that. Yeah, I had a clean break, but it did come out of the skin so they had to really cut me up to clean things out. It is still real sore. I suspect this injury may take longer than I thought to heal. - Justin
@@rmatvmc Good luck brother. Hopefully we are both out there riding again soon
I have a wr 250 1996 and I won't to restorate it can you please send me the manual
I would’ve got rid of some of the unnecessary weight. Like the kickstand and headlight. Not sure if it’s performing well. I’m not to sure of the rear tire. I keep forgetting about the budget. Oh snaps! Disregard! Headlight came off! LOL!
They need the headlight.
@@TommyNitro For practice while it was dangling?
@@PrinceIsa Lol. It's a 24 hour race. They need it at night.
@@TommyNitro I know. But, I'm talking about in these practice video. They took it off as I expected them to. I know they'll make sure all bikes will be equipped with a light before the "actual" race. As you see they're not concerned about it for practices. The damn thing was dangling. There's things I don't equipped my bike with when I'm training for events. I'm just trying to make sure the bike is all dialed in.
@@PrinceIsa Ah, gotcha.
11:19 what was that
That was a good example of what not to do...LOL. -Charles
A few reasons it falls flat, powervalve is nasty or stuck, reeds are shot, airleak possibly, dirty carb if it wasn't cleaned
I suspect a gummed power valve or maybe it wasn’t put back together the right way after top end.
Justin can fix er.
Too bad he didn't lol - Wes
Chase had never heard of a KTM 620. 🤦🏻♂️
Chase 1 clip down on the needle
I cased 1 or 10 times😭
Should of Bought a cr 250
First
Ninth
Geez never trust a previous owners jetting...was it jetted for the moon?
sad justin is not participating here
Nothing grinds my gears more than seeing so called riders kicking away as if TDC means nothing or a petcock that needs explained....To who !!!! Man look I'm no rebal but definitely more seasoned than these guys wth ..
chase needs reeds
Trust me, I needed a lot more than reeds haha. The reeds were actually fine. The problem was that timing plate in the stator. It was all loose. Not sure why I didn't check it before but lessoned learned. - Chase
Power valves useless
