I just picked up a Biktrix Juggernaught XD Duo. The bike itself is awesome. The XD motor and the dual drive trains are awesome. First ebike I’ve been on that pedals like a normal bike with the power out (due to the separate drive), and the thing can accelerate like a beast. It goes 0 to 30 in a couple of seconds, throttle only. The down side is that some of the overall package is chintzy and/or feels unfinished. The XD is a $5600 ebike and it doesn’t come with a tail light at all let alone a working break light. It also comes with a very basic DS104 black and white display, which… is aesthetically underwhelming on a $5600 bike, but I’d forgive that if it properly compensated for current draw and didn’t have a battery gauge that varied what it showed depending on if the motor was running. It also has the mount for a second battery, but no support for one yet. They claim that is in the works. I hope it does make it out because this bike kind of does need a second battery. It unfortunately feels like the XD is a prototype that they are selling before they are done fixing all the issues. Which is kind of bad on a bike in this price tier.
Thank you for your insight on the xd. Thinking about it myself and yes I'm also let down by some of the things you mentioned as well. From off the line power would you say it gives a good jump or is it very gradual?
@@macmac6034 it JUMPS off the line. This is the one thing I can categorically say about that bike. It can accelerate like a beast. I’ve out pulled cars off the line at lights on busy roads. They catch me quickly because max speed is in the low 30s, but it can get there quick. It’s actually quite amusing because the thing looks like a bike and then goes 0 to 30 by the time it’s halfway through an intersection. I have since gotten a motorcycle license and own an electric 125cc equivalent scooter and a 300cc Yamaha XMax, and the Biktrix seems to out accelerate both of those… albeit you don’t just yank the throttle on a motorcycle like you can on a bike that has a limited top speed. The motor, drive, and “bicycle” parts of this bike are top tier. They really are. The bike just has some rough edges for in the polish department, considering it’s price point.
Looks like a nice bike. I've also been looking at the Aventon Aventure 2, and I'm wondering what makes this Bitrix bike worth $400 more than the Aventure 2? Both are pretty similar specs wise, both have 750w motor, torque sensor ect.
I want a bike like this or the x26 to put a rear & forward camera that records to a memory card (on a constant loop) built into the bike. That i would jump on.
That is a good looking bike and I really like the 27.5 x 3 tires over the 4" tires but I would ride them on a 20" bike without suspension..... Good video, thank you.
Right on. I think 20 inch is a sweet spot also. It makes the bike so much more nimble. I really like this model how it handles and it makes the bike light and quick. Not sure why the view number on the video is so low when the bike is amazing and the quality is there. The price may be a little high but you get what you pay for.
I have a fucare gemini X , I have personally ridden that bicycle upward of 45 km /hr , and I just bought this bicycle but haven't ridden it yet.I wanted to know if this biclycle would do better than 45 km/hr and if so how to I unlock the top speed because in Canada the legal top speed is 32 km/hr .
Please help, I was looking for a ebike that I can ride with my girl friend. But I think I need a long seat like the ariel grizzly or super 76 but the grizzly might be too much money. Any recommendations? Faster the better.
I have this bike and I agree with your assessment - it's very fast and fun to ride. Unfortunately the quality is a bit lacking, noisy vibrations as you said, the seat failed on me after a month or so (I'm 180lbs), fender screw came loose on one side, and then the front brakes started leaking and failed after 2 months. They sent me an extra screw with the extra battery I ordered and gave me about half the cost to replace the seat, but told me to eat dirt about the brakes. A bit disappointing.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace The caliper leaked out the mineral oil and they stopped working. I still have to get it checked out, unfortunately shops around me don't seem keen on working on ebikes [they don't sell].
@@ElectricVehicleSpace I probably just got unlucky (maybe a piece of gravel hit it, I don't know, I did put a lot of kms on it in the 2 months), but it's annoying and disappointing they tell you you're on your own when the bike is that new.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace This happened a couple months ago, they followed up but said brakes are "wear and tear" - obviously pads are but imo the brake leaking isn't lol. Thank you but probably just a waste of your time, I'm just putting this out there for potential buyers to know both the good and the bad.

@@ElectricVehicleSpace Not to be a pain in side but my full Suspension FUCARE is the bomb! I had to get 2 of their seated scooters also they are so fun also!
@@richarddonegan4666 fucare is a good bike but this Biktrix smokes fucare on any parameter. I like aggressive riding and this is like a motorcycle with pedals. So much more fun and more advanced. Between the two I will choose the duo hub.

@@ElectricVehicleSpace i was just going off reviews ive seen i dont actually have the bike nor have an ebike myself i low key kinda want one but the price for most of them is pretty high and also in not very long ill be old enough to drive so an ebike might not be very practical when im 16 and 3 months which in my state is the legal driving age. in almost every way except gas prices and needing insurance a car is better and i dont live in a city i live in a neighborhood and Right now an ebike might not be the best choice. if an ebike was cheap and would be a good bike to ride around the neighborhood on and get some exercise and have a bit of fun while doing it than that would be good but most ebikes are like 1000 dollars for a decent one on the low end
No plastic fenders! no no no! Why would anyone recommend them over much more durable metal fenders? Plastic is too easily damaged and is made of oil! Recycle centers around where I live are not accepting plastic now. The market for recycled plastic is gone, the centers cannot get rid of it. Plastic should not be used on bikes intended to last decades anyway.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace you would save ounces, hardly worth the effort. Tighten the screws or change to better brackets, you won't hear noise. Your "like" solution is worse for the planet, time for you to make a paradigm shift in your thinking. People need oil for home heating and other reasons such as lubrication, not for bike parts that last longer in a metal.
