Great channel, mostly because you give great tips and get to the point and follow up with a great visual example. If I could add 2 things, I got two dressers exactly the same and took the skirt or base off of one and put that on top of the other one. Wow I could fit allot in those! Still it looked like one unit, nobody could tell it was actually two pieces of furniture. I have had no luck with those vey light plastic units until I put some velcro on the back and that stopped it from falling over every time I opened a drawer. You did not make too much of a point of it, but if you have exposed clothes racks with open shelving, a light linen sheer drape hides the visual clutter, but still it is very easy to access. Thanks for all the tips.
This video couldn't have come at a better time! I'm living in a bedroom atm with everything here so I wanted to try and utilise the space as much as possible to turn it into something spacious! Thanks Reynard!
So my situation is a little different as I share my small room with my husband and daughter 😭 but I’m taking notes: definitely need to do a decluttering week/month!
I love my twin bed:). The owner before me had a king sized bed in the master bedroom. Now I use twin bed that one long size against the wall. The bedroom gives me much more space this way.
Did you build in the bed storage at 1:39 or where did you get that frame/storage? I have been looking for a bedframe/storage solution that looks similar to that style!
Hello Reynard, if it could be possible for you to tell me where you bought the white zippered box that you put under the bed or on the shelf, that'd be great! Thanks for all these tips!
I have an apartment of 62 sqm how can I put 10 wardrobee? I also need to put a desk for a desktop computer, a table to eat on and a sofa in order to relax and watch TV, but the most important thing are the wardrobes because I have a lot of clothes. I live in Denmark and I watch all your videos: I need your help!! 😁😁
I recently found out about your channel. The explination and concent is just what i'm looking for since i'm looking for an apartment and trying to make everything look good. Is there a way to sign up or ask for a design advice for a livinig space with existing furniture?
Yes if possible. Building vertically is always great in smaller spaces, similar concept to urban planning. Small stool can be used to reach things above when necessary.
The issue I have with the door hanger is that you cannot shut the door after you place the storage metal piece on top. If I am going to live in an Air Bnb for 3 months to try out a new job in NY, I want to be able to shut the door.
Get a shower curtain rod that's the correct size for your closet, and then whatever curtains you want on it. Just make sure theyre the right length. I just did e same thing to mine recently, since its the same typa closet and i wanted to be able to close it off when i wanted. I def recommend, looks so good! I hung a long fairy light style string light "curtain" and it's so beautiful.
I thought having a slightly bigger appartment would be so good in terms of storage bc I had this mindset that I need to keep my stuff somewhere. But then I realized that many small rooms with storage in each is so inconvenient. Keeping some of the things here, some there, within the same category... When I dress, I start with underwear in my bathroom (that's excellent actually), then go to my bedroom for 'normal clothes', then to my office to get accessories from 3 different places, go to the bathroom to have a look in the mirror, choose shoes from the hall or underneath the bed, if I need to wear scarf or belt I need to come back to the bedroom, and finally the coat in the hall.. It's not only crazy running through the apartment but it's really hard to see what you already have and how to pair it together... If I didn't have the mindset of "having storage is good enough" back then, I'd definetely sacrifice a wall or two to get 1 huge wardrobe, and maybe it would make the other rooms more spacious. It lacks air. We possess stuff to use it and have fun, not to hide it and forget or struggle to find :(. Also vertical storage and other 'additional' storage like under the bed, is for keeping stuff we don't use. So it makes half/half storage space that we don't have access to. Don't get me wrong, I'd never give up my ceiling cabinets but the fact is that keeping stuff that you use more often than once a couple months there is a pain in the A. This makes me really happy to be quite tall so I can reach the second shelf from the top in my wardrobe, struggling but possible without the stool. If I was short I'd probably wear stilts at home lol.
Very good advices. In my case limited because I am in a 3 by 3m room and both walls are glass. Also the ceiling have weird arrangements to hide pipes used for water sprinklers. I can't do much more than the tall boy/ bedside table combo...
My home is situated near the highway, and noise the vehicle is so loud having difficulty in sleeping. Is there any idea to minimize road noise..i am from india, so construction is in concrete. Thank u
As always when professionals talks about "storage" they think people do not have stuff. A sock drawer with five pairs of socks? Come ON! A book shelf with a tv and hardly anything else? Come ON! I need solutions for much much more stuff. Show a real home instead please.
If you're in a tiny place with an alcove, you're almost definitely renting, and definitely should NOT custom build new furniture to fit it! It's financially stupid. If you have the money, save those thousands towards a place of your own!
Useless video. None of the rooms seen in the video is a small bedroom. These tricks are so common sense already that one can find these on their own. I was expecting something ingenious but got disappointed instead.
Windows and mirrors to round things out. Nice job.

Great idea! I'll keep this in mind for future videos.
Smartest trick: own only what you need, then you have more space! 🎉
Yes ! It's good to declutter once in a while
Exactly! I need to get better at practicing minimalism
bad advice bc i need everything
Thank you Einstein.
Yea, okay 😂
Drawer divider idea is new for me❤

I like how practical and specific these ideas are. Naming the exact furnitures categories etc. Thanks!

Nice idea with storage walls around the bed.
This was helpful! Thank you!
Well done. Lots of content concisely stated.
Very insightful suggestions Reynard! Thank you. I'm sure most people can apply at least some of these to improve their specific situation.

Reynard u always make the best videos !
Alternate title: "Things I buy in IKEA"
The hanger trick you give, I find takes a lot more space.
Very helpful video, as always, thanks a lot!
Nice thorough list
Such a great video, super informative
Your video was perfect. I’m going to try some of tricks mentioned
I've been considering using a secretary desk as a bedside table. You can tuck away your workspace and still have surface area when closed.
Thank you. This was highly useful
Floating shelves by the bed with that minimalist backboard reminds me too much of a hotel.
I need you to come to my house!
Greetings from LA
Great tips!

Having 100s of garments and only wearing 20 I was guilty.
Here's something that fulfills a lot of these categories at the same time: pegboards!

Did you build in the bed storage at 1:39 or where did you get that frame/storage? I have been looking for a bedframe/storage solution that looks similar to that style!

Is there a way to sign up or ask for a design advice for a livinig space with existing furniture?
for space saving, do you recommend a custom clothes cabinet that fully vertically built reaching the ceiling surface?
Yes if possible. Building vertically is always great in smaller spaces, similar concept to urban planning.
Small stool can be used to reach things above when necessary.
@@reynardlowell thanks!
I took the doors off my closets long ago. They were bypass doors and very awkward.
The issue I have with the door hanger is that you cannot shut the door after you place the storage metal piece on top. If I am going to live in an Air Bnb for 3 months to try out a new job in NY, I want to be able to shut the door.
Hi I really like your idea having a bed with floating shelves on the bed frame. Did you have any suggestions for products available in australia?
How do we do the curtain idea at 5:32 ?
Get a shower curtain rod that's the correct size for your closet, and then whatever curtains you want on it. Just make sure theyre the right length. I just did e same thing to mine recently, since its the same typa closet and i wanted to be able to close it off when i wanted. I def recommend, looks so good! The dresser at 2:57 in your closet, where is it from?
Do you have ideas about the low selling house?

Hey! Where did you get the stackable drawers from?
I'm struggling to find affordable ones
same
where can i find those under the bed storage drawers
Very good advices. In my case limited because I am in a 3 by 3m room and both walls are glass. Also the ceiling have weird arrangements to hide pipes used for water sprinklers. I can't do much more than the tall boy/ bedside table combo...
anyone know which ikea store have that wardrobe design at 3:27? I have been finding the wardrobe type with table space wide enough like that
❤❤❤
My home is situated near the highway, and noise the vehicle is so loud having difficulty in sleeping.
Is there any idea to minimize road noise..i am from india, so construction is in concrete.
Thank u
Try a white noise machine. That and ear plugs help me sleep through moderate disturbances
Desk + bedside table actually doesn’t work for me bc i need the desk and have to move stuff around to use it

But it is bad feng shui to Store things underneath your bed.....😐
Feng shu, Poop shway. Whoo giives a crapp, fuuuh getta bout it 🙏✊
When you don’t have space, feng shui bends with it.
DISLIKE
I hate when minimalists sell aesthetics and how things look, instead of geting to the point and being practical :(
What are the name of the bags you used to store clothes under the bed?
They seem like Ikea's SKUBB
As always when professionals talks about "storage" they think people do not have stuff. A sock drawer with five pairs of socks? Come ON! A book shelf with a tv and hardly anything else? Come ON! I need solutions for much much more stuff. Show a real home instead please.
Well then start with not having more than what your storage can store
My legs hang off the end of queen bed, sigh :(

Thank goodness I don’t have to listen to awful, nasal American accents.
These are not narrow bedrooms
Nice advice ❤. Sorry for asking are you married 🙂
