I have an uncle who is 82 and suffers from CCDD. Watching the Fox News Channel is a primary cause for this disorder. One way end this problem is to cancel their satellite or cable subscription.
I'm a Conservative and I don't deny climate change I just hate how hypocritical some folks are about the obsession with finger pointing and no personal conviction about their own individual opportunity to change things. Like this video, calls a mass of people stupid unless they agree to everything it says, which isn't productive at all. Name calling divides people.
Not too many people change from how we all were to walking the path, just like that. People take steps, doesn't man they can't talk about how important it is. If everyone had to be 100% all in and walking the line before they said anything aloud about the importance of effort, than nothing would be done and we'd be that much closer to a much worse point of no return.
I suffer from this. It's not pretty. I am plagued by almost constant bouts of skepticism, punctuated by acute episodes of brutal optimism for the future. On a few occasions I have lost all self-control and enjoyed life for minutes at a time. This illness has caused me to keep my family, my job, my friends, everything. I need help.
But they were right tho. Should of took it more seriously in the 80s but nah we gotta give big oil more money and shit. Thanks to republicans and passive democrats future generations get to live in the heat equivalent of satans asshole.
It's funny shit, and I agree that no sane person denies the climate change. Although what people usually argue about is actually the reason of this change and the actual influence of humanity
Great video. "Climate change denial is a denial or dismissal of the scientific consensus on the extent of global warming, its significance, or its connection to human behavior, especially for commercial or ideological reasons. Typically, these attempts take the rhetorical form of legitimate scientific debate, while not adhering to the actual principles of that debate." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_change_denial
AGW alarmism is all just a bait and switch routine. The only issue that matters is whether or not there is any genuine evidence that CO2 (which comprises 1/20th of 1% of the atmosphere, human contribution to which is only 3%) can/does cause the atmosphere to warm. No science indicates such. It's a plainly absurd premise. So alarmists simple refuse to discuss this issue. And the only skeptics that make it through the media filter are the ones that have some irrelevancy and who would do anything to get some kind of publicity. An actual debate between a real scientist and an alarmist would be very short--and boring. The scientist would ask for evidence that CO2 can/could/will cause warming. The alarmist would evade the question and start talking about some irrelevancy, and the discussion would b over. So this never happens because the media is mostly concerned about ratings and advertising dollars. Global warming (climate change) is really nothing but a science based religion. It’s an intellectual bait and switch scheme. If asked believers will supply you with a mountain of data. The data will do little more than vaguely suggest some alarming eventualities in the indeterminate future. If you then ask them to delineate the connection to carbon dioxide you can then expect to be called all kinds of derogatory names implying that you are self centered and don’t care about future generations. The revelation that global warming is a religion based loosely on science is hardly front page news. What is less well known is that the same can be said for aspects of meteorology, specifically the convection model of storm theory. My name is James McGinn. I am an atmospheric physicist and a science theorist laying the ground work for a brave new future of severe weather mitigation. I have an exciting new hypothesis on the cause of storms. I hadn't realized Funny or Die was this progressive and liberal. I'll be sure to unsubscribe. We humans don't know DEFINITELY whether or not our climate is irreversibly changing, because we've only been accurately recording climate statistics for roughly 300 years at the most. The earth is at least 2 billion years old, your telling me that if we have a few warm winters, the entire planet's CLIMATE is changing? You must not know what climate means. The earth naturally has a varying climate which changes noticeably over the corse of THOUSANDS of years, NOT 5 years, 50 years, or 300 years. "Scientists" are comparing current global temperatures, sea levels, ect. to those from 50 or 100 years ago; that is comparing WEATHER trends, not CLIMATE. Stop telling me Alaska has had warm winters for 5 years or 10 years, big deal it doesn't matter. In 800 years Bill Nye the dumbass science guy can tell people about climate change, then he'll have enough information. By then we'll be in another ice age and global warming will seem even more far fetched.
