ESS and “bottom of the barrel” should not be mentioned in the same sentence. They took the blower market by storm with a much better product for way less money. If you as a tuner recommend a pro charger over ess the only thing that’s going to be at the bottom of the barrel is your crank snout.

*Same with ess. It’s too far out same like Procharger. People running there G4r kit complaining of problems with the tensioners and pulleys and soon same crank problems*
Procharger makes a crank support bracket for the Coyote now. But you can snap a crank with a PDS blower as well.

I don't know about being the top, but man I take my hat off to him for dealing with PBD and being a top tuner for such a massive platform. Lund will tune all my Fords, but Shoemaker will always be second on my list of reccomnedations.

I’ll speak on my experience for a budget “build” on my gen 2 5.0
It was my first manual car, stock wheels and pirelli all season tires I went 11.8 @119
Only mods were cat deletes and e85. No intake, no headers, it had a magnaflow 2.5” catback when I bought it

You must not have actually watched the interview because Lund was given tons of respect. This guy is in the top tier of Ford tuners. There are more than one "top tuners" in any category.

He didn’t get them from Toyota or Honda or even Ford. Not even thin air but from “ other people’s ” R&D. Hey I give the kid kudos for getting away with what he can get away with but just shows you how 75% of the parts and tuning companies are such devious thieves in my opinion.
@@313mikem Brother, you have never tuned a car obviously. A Base File is only used to start and run the car. It takes multiple changes to the tune from there. 2016 was 8 years ago. Even if he started with a Base File from Lund 8 years ago, it would not keep him in business at all. A Base File is nothing. I can get a Base File from FuelTech or Holley right now that will work on a Coyote (Or LS/LT, Hemi or whatever engine) but it takes hours and hours to make changes from there. The more the build has that is custom like aftermarket cams, heads, a power adder etc the more tuning is required. This guy is respected by big Coyote shops like Midnight etc. Lund is the biggest and many say Lund is the best for Coyotes, but there are a lot of people who swear by Shoemaker. No matter what you may think, he's considered one of the top tuners in the Coyote world. You seem to think that Lund is the only company that can be called a top tuner. Believe it or not, there are a lot of competent tuners out there and many of them won't be household names.

I don't think Rob would last very long, he doesn't seem to be the type to take care of himself in that regard 😅 Alex said he's never been drunk or touched a drug either, so coming from someone who's spent over half his life competing in wrestling, mma and collegiate boxing and also being a recovering alcoholic, that fact about Flores is extremely underrated lol 😆

All hes ever said about ON3 is "they make power, but you could expect some issues with h fitment and longevity", which is what this dude just said, but somehow alex was talking shit. As far as the 850whp claim with whipple, yeah he called it out because its a disingenuous claim that you can make that much power on 93 octane and stay CARB compliant. Robs a great guy...worked his ass off when he was at pbd. Its weird to hear Boyd say the lunds didnt help him diagnose his gt500; def sucking rob's knob. Ive been tuned by rob and lund jr and the feedback from junior was way more detailed. Rob was always cool and got me revisions quickly but changed power adders and had mechanical issues that we were teying to tune around. But got the feedback i needed to address the mechanjcal issues from lund.

Didnt lund go 6's with vct? If your turbo has good flow and it sized right, why would there be backpressure to mess with vct.
They went 6s stock ecu. I’m not sure if you’re confusing the two or not, honestly not sure if they kept VCT

Lund went 6s with locked exhaust cam but vct on the intake cam and the maf still working. Also did it with a 6r80 transmission and a ford oem computer. I think it had a predator block, and gen 2 heads and control pack as well.
@AJUSA1 thanks and that's what I thought. Sr and Jr are next level and I think all these other guys are very much aware of this. Rob has worked really hard and tuned alot of cars so he's Def one of the best but the best is quite clear..lol

Funny how he qualifies a top tuner as one having cars live a long life but back in 2020 the tune he left my car with and his lack of knowledge blew up my car within a month or so then proceeded to tell me "you must have done something wrong and you signed a waver"! I still have the emails and pictures from the dealer showing that the car ran lean for a long time and still have his emails basically refusing to own up to his mistake. Since you're a "Top tuner" now, maybe you can afford to pay me. You still owe me $10k big boy!
