30 years since that accident...
still remember that it was midnight in Japan when Senna ascended to heaven...
Senna loved Japanese fans and HONDA
thanks so much
You will forever shine in the hearts of F1 fans around the world.
I was 9 years old watching it live on tv with my father who was bartender at work at restaurant. My father never ever watched F1 ever again he was huge senna fan
@@Serbian1985 😢😢
Senna died during his transfer to hospital after the wheel and part of the suspension hit his helmet, causing irreversible damage to his brain, cervical vertebrae and temple, and Roland Ratzenberger was killed. at the time and that the announcement of the death in these two cases was postponed in view of commercial issues, the race had to take place at all costs and that in the stands when Alboreto's Minardi-Ford could have done more victims but still 5 mechanics injured
I simply can't believe that it has been 30 years since his passing. Senna's legendary skill and driving got me interested in Formula One. To me, as an 18 year-old in 1990, Senna, Prost, Mclaren and Honda will forever be my glory days of F1. RIP to Ayrton Senna; the Greatest Of All Time. I love this tribute by Autosport. No words, because the grief and reverance we continue to hold for him are still beyond description.
RIP Ayrton Senna: You will never be forgotten.
🙏🖤🙏
His helmet, his colors, are so so emblematic...
I remember watching this race as a 14 year old. I loved formula 1 and Senna was my favourite racer at the time. I was saddened at Ratzenberger the previous day. When I saw him crash , I said I hope he will be ok. When I saw the helicopter, I was saying a prayer in hopes that he will make it and I knew it was serious. I was in tears when I watched the 8 o clock news and heard of his passing. I was in shock because he was a legend and he passed on. I was devastated. RIP to Senna and Ratzenberger.
Same experience for me in Belgium as an 11 year old! The only day I remember pretty much intact from that age.

It's impossible not to cry on that date. For every F1 lover, you know that it was on that day that the best driver of all time died. But, for me, May 2nd was worse. It took a day for me to face the reality that Ayrtpn Senna had died. One of the worst days of my life. R.I.P. Senna, you have no idea how much we miss you....
I ABSOLUTELY AGREE
The real LENGEND, the BEST EVER, I miss this guy so much, a true CHAMPION, there will never be another one like him.🖤
30 years passed so quickly. Rest in peace, Legend. 🙏🏻🕯️🏎️
Senna a true legend... One of the greatest F1 driver... he will always be in our memory!!!
Ayrton Senna was a great man. I was born 5 years after his death. I can only look at my idol in pictures. I would really like to just hear his voice live. I would like to shake his hand. I would like to get closer to my idol somehow, but I can’t. it's all part of life. and all I can do is do good. I dream of going to Brazil, the homeland of my idol, and living at least a little where he spent his life. Ayrton Senna, I will never forget you as long as I live.
I am Brazilian and I was 3y old when he died and I don´t remember the accident, but I feel like all my childhood he was live, because of his comic books I loved to read, and because we still had his presence somehow, all the stories my father told me about him... he also was and is my idol, and the first thing I wanted to be was a F1 race driver, and I am sure it was because of Ayrton!
Come to Brazil someday, you will love it and understand why Senna always lifted our flag with pride
@@flailuni
I really want come to Brazil, but I'm from Russia.. Nobody likes us.
I hope that someday this will change and I will be able to go Ayrton Senna's homeland in Brazil.
RIP Ayrton and Roland ❤️
There will NEVER be another!!!
I don’t think I’ve experienced a day in the last 30 years where I haven’t thought about Ayrton. Such was the man ❤
Indeed he was. I am a lifelong racing fan but I’ve never been star struck or in awe of many people especially in sports but ayrton. Ayrton does it for me. The talent and the character of the man is what made senna fantastic. Best ever in my opinion
@@alanluscombe8a553 Thank you for sharing and 100% agree 👍
Can’t believe it’s been so long. We are all lucky to have had the man that was ayrton
4:18 my favorite F1 image. Senna in an MP4/8. To me, still the best looking F1 car, with his helmet its just iconic.
What a legend. What a man. He was the heart and soul of F1 for me and I stopped watching the sport after he died. RIP. Senna Sempre.
A HERO and a LEGEND to us all Dont forget Roland Ratzenberger
Such a beautiful tribute. RIP Ayrton
The choice of music for this tribute is nothing less than perfect. 30 years from that date and still we speak of him. His accomplishments, his rivalries, and most notably his skills are passed down from generation to generation.
Vale Roland Walter Ratzenberger 🙏 - 30 April 1994
Vale Ayrton Senna de Silva 🙏 - 1 May 1994
May we always remember their achievements and never forget their deaths in the neverending quest for better driver safety.
A very touching tribute with perfect choice of music that goes with it.May he rest in peace and thanks again for this very emotional tribute.
Watched since 1989 and yeh , were can i begin...
Ayrton senna could make a f1 car dance in the rain , pure untamed power, no fancy driver aids like the kids of today
Just pure god given talent
As i sit and think of ayrton, tears stream down my face , with un unbelievable sadness in my heart
I saw imola 94 and ive hated that track ever since
God bless you ayrton, wherever you are
Ill always miss you , champ ♥️🏆
Ayrton didn't die... he just takes a lap ahead....
That's a lovely way to think of it.
@@Steviecraig7 Thank you!
What a beautiful and moving tribute.
We miss you, Ayrton. We miss you dearly and daily.
Descanse em paz, Becão.
Idk why. This morning I got up and wanted to watch clips of ayrton. I am a lifelong racing fan and always loved ayrton. Didn’t realize until now it is the anniversary of his passing. Rip senna. Hands down best racing mind ever
Ayrton.... we miss you so much.... rest in peace eternal champion.
Will never be forgotten... proud to be brazilian... our eternal idol
30 years ago on May 1st, 1994 i watch the race on tv and saw the fatal accident...it's so long ago but I still remember like it was yesterday....Ayrton will forever be my number 1 F1 driver because he was just more then a human ❤
Ayrton 🇧🇷 and Roland 🇦🇹...🖤❤️🖤
Saw the Great Man in a Toleman at Brands in 83 !
Seems like yesterday as a kid I watched my hero die live on tv😢
Me too. I was 14. Cleared my day to watch formula 1 and saw this. My mom saw me visibly shaken when this happened. I said Senna was in a serious accident. I was in shock when I heard of his passing.
I can remember exactly what I was doing , what I was wearing and where I was sitting on that day , probably one of the saddest days of my life tbh
I miss ayrton alot
@@farrel13sw I was 15 year old. I couldn't sleep for weeks. I was constantly waking up in tears. Very heavy loss for us teenagers.
Same here. My avatar still tributes him 30 years on.
@@misterdog7 Senna in tuxedo. The epitome of 'classy'!
Senna will never fade...
I don’t think the world of Motorsport or F1 will ever get over Senna lost. I feel like in our minds we love him so much we still keep him alive forever cause we still 30 yrs later hurt by the way we lost him. The perfect driver. The human being. God gave us Senna to see what perfection was on track. Someone who gave 110% of himself to the racing world.
I was 4yrs old, but the pain that world wouldnt be same ever again is still in me. R.I.P.
Erá un tipo genial🏎️🏎️🏎️
the Goat. Rip Ayrton!
O maior de todos! Nunca será esquecido! ❤
Simply the best!
OLE OLE OLE!!!
SENNAAA!!! SENNAAA!!!
Still remember where I was.
From here to eternity...
Imortal Ayrton Senna . 2024
Que saudade do nosso herói 🏁🇧🇷
Manca tanto anche a noi Italiani il vostro eroe❤🇧🇷🇮🇹
30 years and I still remember the lunch table. I ended up alone at the table, cause every adult was standing in front of the TV. I was 8. The following hours were of despair and grief. A lot of crying. He was my first lost.
Ayrton Senna was my favourite driver. Can´t believe itś 30 years already. He´ll be always in my memories.
Playing in the Word Cup 1994 the Brazilian football players all knelt on the football field in reverence to Senna. "Ole ole ole Senna...Senna"
I wasn't alive when Senna was racing, as I was born in 1996, I heard stories from my mum what he was like racing, such a loss to the F1 world, hard to believe its 30 years since he died RIP legend.🙁
I wrote to the parents of both Senna and Ratzenberger. I received a very kind thank you card from Ratzenberger’s family, with a picture of Roland as a young boy playing with a toy car. I have that lying around somewhere…need to go find it. RIP Roland and Ayton, gone but never forgotten. 😢
Beautiful tribute. Thank you. #SennaSempre
Ayrton was a citizen of the world, a complex human being. An extraordinary driver who would certainly have many world championships. Let us celebrate his life and his legacy. Regards from Brazil.
Ayrton what a legend, you'll never ever be forgotten my friend, God bless and RIP 🕊️🙏
what a beautiful tribute to Senna - also the music is very soulful. Thank you who ever made it. SENNA RIP. ❤❤❤
A really nice dedication to a very kind and caring but also very much misunderstood man. Ayrton was part of my childhood and I was 14 years old when he smashed into the wall at the Tamburello corner during the san marino grand prix. It was horrific but even after seeing the photos of the smashed William's in the paper the next day, i didn't know he was dead until i heard about it on the news, i just remember feeling a great emptiness inside me. I won't ever forget him, no F1 driver can be compared to him regardless of their driving skills and personality. Ayrton has left his own mark on the sport and no one can take that away from him. Rip Ayrton 🙏❤
Senna in the 99T winning in Detroit 1987 is one of my favorite memories
Godspeed 🙏 Legend ❤
One of those days where you will always remember where you were. The Greatest Ever Racer. A Legend. I was 18 at the time. My son who is 15 watches him on RUclips, says he wishes he was alive to have watched him back then
A master at what he did ! Born to go fast.R.I.P.
The best driver of all time.
Whoever put this together, I think you're proud and rightly so. Well done.
Thank you Ayrton for your drive, you are legend and maybe that means being immortal. Stay safe where you are.
Thanks for creating this...really wonderful.
I have been enjoying going and looking for those late 1980s and early 1990s handicam's of people at the races and events. There are some awesome ones out there. Now i know why :)
I had the privilege of seeing that green and yellow helmet flash past many times in Adelaide in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Crazy to think its 30yrs. I remember watching that race. The 2010 Senna documentary was amazing.
Life is very precious...But live it to the max every moment like he did ;)
Such a simple but well-made video to remember one of the finest drivers ever. It gives you a huge sense of nostalgia. Rest in peace Ayrton, we shall never forget you ❤
You are dearly missed. 😢
This song with the pictures, Extraordinary! Congrats!👏👏👏👏👏
I didn’t know how it’s still painful, after 30 years.
We really miss you. 😢
What you have represented and have brought to our lives. Only those who love F1 since little children, have learned to like this sport in family. And love Senna. It is true after his death, we stoped a lot to follow the races. It was quite traumatic. The weekends , the Sundays were not the same after his death, anymore.
Something has die with.
Senna left something with us. But carry a lot of all together with him.
New generation of pilotos could be better technically then him, but never like him, while human being. However, while people and pilots want to be like him, yes, his legacy is working. That’s his truly purpose in the Earth.
May God give him peace and serenity to his soul and lot of light. 🙏🏻
Keep being source an inspiration.
Always was for us, somehow.
Senna, the unforgettable.
What a sequence... Stunning images... great fit with the music... thank you very much for this. This guy inspired a whole generation, from different sports and activities. Senna lives.
Never forgotten, the GOAT
Aryton❤❤🎉🎉
Thank you. 🇧🇷🏆🏆🏆🇧🇷
I still have the Autosport 5th May 94. 'Death at Imola'. Still seems surreal even now.
The boy from Norwich done well...👌❤️🙏
Ayrton Senna will never be forgotten. After thirty years, the world remembers with love this pilot who was the best pilot of all time.
What differentiates a genius from a champion?
A genius champion must do unexpected things. It must be an artist who brings something original. Senna turned his driving style into art. A genius must, when he least expects it, pull a card out of his sleeve. Him doing what he is expected to do, even if it is a fantastic, phenomenal thing, is not enough. It's not enough for him to do something that we saw he could do. He has to do something that we would never have imagined could be done and that we would never forget. Senna was like that. He did unimaginable, stupendous and magical things. That was his charm. Senna brought magic to F1.
Hero? Yes! Who doesn't remember his heroic gesture when he stopped his car to save Frenchman Éric Comas who was unconscious but with his foot on the accelerator after the accident?
On the track he was a phenomenon and off the track he was a spectacular human being who helped and continues to help millions of young people through the Ayrton Senna Institute.
A man who loved his country and showed that "A son of Brazil does not run away from the fight".
He managed to build a social phenomenon of bringing families together to watch his races together.
He transformed formula1 into a sport that grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren learned to love. However, everyone gathered was not exactly to watch F1 but to support him, Ayrton Senna.
He gave a lot of joy to his fans around the world. With him people laughed, cried, cheered, suffered and felt like champions together with him in each achievement.
Yes, Senna was a social phenomenon. A legend that will be told from generation to generation. Something that will not be repeated in the history of F1.
A huge thank you for so much and for everything you did for us, Ayrton Senna da Silva.
RIP Roland Ratzenberger
Touching tribute. I’ve never been interested in Formula 1 and hadn’t even heard of Senna until 2008….since then, everything I’ve read and seen about him highlights just how fascinating and magnetic he was.
The only other personality (in my lifetime, so far) that had the same impact on people was Princess Diana- and she too died young and in tragic circumstances.
I know you're still winning up there Ayrton. Drive on.
Senna the GOAT
Pra sempre Senna ❤🙏
Damn Sunday afternoon, how i remember it. Rest in peace Ayrton, your Legacy will stay with us, forever.

@ 4:59. haunting image. Its like it was yesterday and I was watching the feed here in Canada on cbc or tsn. The camera feed was actually showing the view from inside Schumacher's car. When the sparks came out from Senna's car and he went hard right off the track. I remember saying to myself.. OH NO!
they were both at peak speed going through Tamburello corner, I knew it was not good. RIP to the greatest driver that ever lived.
Han pasado treinta años pero tú, mi especial paisano, sigues y seguirás por siempre en nuestras mentes y en nuestros corazones. Te amamos, nuestro Airton Senna da Silva. ¡Que descanse en paz! 🙏🙏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
