Without any doubt the most comprehensive, practical (for a serious amount of moolah) and thorough car guide/assessment/drive video I have watched. No flowery nonsense or hyperbole, just an all-round engaging and sensible look at a gorgeous car. The class-comparisons, as with the honest appraisal - pro's & con's of the DBS - make this a seriously professional presentation.
Congrats on a job well done and which you obviously love doing with forensic, fun detail.
Compared to the usual, or should I say, plethora of petrol-heads out there; this is a very refreshing change...albeit I may have only discovered what you fellas have been doing for a while. Compared to the clarkson/hamster/jimbob and that grating irritant 'schmee', whom I would cheerfully swipe across the chops with a wet haddock...you guys are in a different league.
On this comparison I'd go for the DBS...different colour and interior...that engine/exhaust sweetness would have me searching for tunnels and dropping gears!! Windows down!!!

DBS interior and dash doesn’t seem have the synergy with the exterior. The exterior is sleek, stylish and the interior is incongruous with that. The DSB leather isn’t in keeping its Aston DNA, looks like a West Coast Customs leather upgrade job, too fussy. Otherwise I like the DBS over the others two cars. Great review.

The DBS is just better over a mile and more than the 812 and the Continental GT. Aston Martin makes great cars, talking about aesthetics and performance. Recently Ferrari isn't doing a great job in the car's look and it's going to assume a lot of edgy designs which tend to age the car itself. The Continental GT is a fantastic car, but it isn't so cool as the Aston, but I'm sure that I would take it over a Rolls Royce Wraith cause it's faster and more luxurious. I'm not saying that the 812 Superfast and the Continental GT aren't good cars, but I would buy without any doubt the DBS.

A very well balanced and fair appraisal chaps , I agree on all counts, it looks fantastic sounds fantastic and that " ladyparts "....... lol , centre console is the main bugbear with it along with that 10 year old Garmin screen thing stuck on top as an after thought and the air vents from a morris marina by the looks of it just gopping !! , not a fan of the tortoise shell stitch quilting on the seats either . The depreciation would keep me up at night worrying, Astons are notoriously hard to sell on used unless it's a limited special of some kind . I would rather put my money in a bog standard F12 than that, having the satisfaction that my money would be in a more stable package . My favourite modern Aston is still the 177, Marek Reichman knocked it out of the park with that one !!! 👍👍

It's a handsome old brute but personally I can't help but feel the last generation Aston's were so good looking, this new gen somehow don't quite pull off that "Aston" vibe. A little too aggressive maybe, not quite sure what it is. The old Vantage and DBS just nailed it, although I always thought there was something not quite right about the Vanquish from certain angles. Interior looks dodgy as hell in this new DBS. Those slanted air vents along with the stitching and odd looking wheel just do not work in the slightest. Non related, but did something go wrong with the video editing? You both sound a little more Barry White than you usually do, as if it's been slowed down a tad. Might just be me....

The old Aston Martin design line was awesome, ahead of its time I'd say, but it needed a revamp. Obviously taste can't be discussed, but most people (including me) seem to agree that they absolutely nailed it with the DBS. If just the interior was better.

I could live with the new Aston interiors if they had just allowed for the satnav screens to fold away like the old ones!! I've got a 2014 Vantage and the beauty of it is that screen is never raised. It stays down and the car doesn't look too out of date. Raise it and it looks ancient. If these cars had the same ability it would have allowed them to stand the test of time for much longer.

The DBS is the most beautiful to me but those interiors and the Mercedes infotainment are a big no.
The 812 has that magnificent n/a V12 which screams like a mad and the carbon fiber racing seats are just a masterpiece. Also I'd get the 812 just to be sure to get an allocation for the TDF version of the 812 (or whatever it'll be called) which it should be the last n/a v12 by Ferrari (but i really hope it won't 🤞🏻)

I'm still trying to decide if cross-shopping the Ferrari to the Bentley makes sense-- seems like the Bentley is in its own class. I also have a hard time getting over the AM's infotainment and that plastic slider thing. All of that said, my rankings: 1) Ferrari 2) Bentley 3) Aston Martin. Stop/Start should be a criminal offence however.
Value hold.....lets face it Astons have never been good although we are starting to see the original (Ian Callum) Vanquish S climb out of the hole on its way to big$$ again. I'd choose the 812 I think - potentially the last of the natto-aspirated v12's. That will matter over time.

A fair review and would be what I would go for. The Aston does look the best of the three, but long term the Ferrari would be the one to have.
Being they are all GT cars, which is the one you’d have for a drive down to Monaco ?

Nice one guys. Pretty much agree with all of that 😎👍. Unfortunately I’m not in a position to be making the choice for real. Have to make do with my Aston lookalike for a fraction of the price - XKR.

Aston is derived from Jaguar and Ford. And charged three times more. A Mondeo is a mini Aston, great value.

That infortainment system is absolute pants! £200k and no touch screen shocking to be honest.
You guys have done a great honest review on this car and I thoroughly enjoyed both parts. Always good banter and funny movements along the way.
Nice wristshot too although not long enough and too much light reflection for me to say 100% it was s Rolex Hulk Subby
Show me some 70s retro vintage watches 😂
Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next video .

One of your best videos, loved the humor you had going this video lol. Hard to choose between these cars. I would just get all three. if I were a poor peasant and could get only one , I suppose I COULD live with just the 812. ;)

Great review; well done! I've just gone through this decision-making process myself, as I was in the market for a V12 super-GT. I wanted to like the Aston (beautiful car!), but just couldn't live with the trunk space, the interior appointments (I hate the tacked on - and tacky - "iPad" screen), and the feeling that I was sitting down in the car nearly to my neck (with the resultant poor visibility). I was always predisposed to prefer the 812 (previous Ferrari owner, on the board of my local FCA chapter, etc.), but I tried to keep an open mind during my test drive. The truth is that the 812 ticked all of the driving boxes for me and only fell short on the lack of an integrated, central infotainment screen. That engine, though, and the technical wizardry of the car overall, would justify any number of compromises, but loving the Superfast doesn't require any. It was an easy choice to make. My new F-car is on order.

I know one billionaire and the tablet is a deal breaker for him. He is ordering a custom makeover for a price of a nice Honda Civic - the screen will then be able to hide and show the smooth line same as the previous generation. Only after he will confirm the makeover, he is going to order one. He sold me a Virage (a good deal for me I think) and now he is Astonless :D Still got 15 other cars but missing his British GT.

I think the Aston is a beautiful car, really cohesive / fluid exterior design. Interior just looks too fussy to me. Great review guys.

Are you sure it's a double clutch? I thought it might have been the zf 8 speed torque converter.

the 1/4 mile times for the cars
    Bentley 11.6@121
    Aston 10.8@133
    Ferrari 10.4@141
The mph of the ferrari shows how much a faster car it is then both

This would be a nightmare for me. I love, LOVE the 812, but I also love the Superleggera. You also already bought the 812, haven't you? Seems like the decision is between the Aston Martin or the Continental... Aston Martin wins. I think the Bentley is not in the same category (even though it is), besides, wouldn't you need to be 20 years older to own one?

All great cars, but would buy an older SL65 if V12 is an absolute must and enjoy the saving and extra dimension of having a hardtop convertible.

2:40 'it's quite an odd shaped hole'...no it is not odd shaped. The boot outline was intentionally designed like that to continue the theme of the grill shape from the front all the way to the rear. Looks fabulous.
