It's gonna be a very interesting tactical match-up. Arteta seems to be going more conservative and pragmatic recently. No matter what any of these pundits say about Liverpool being "vulnerable," they're conceding the least chances in the league, the least big chances, the least XG, and they're absolutely controlling the quality of chances given up.
Slot came in,
and the most glaring, urgent weakness he had to address from the Klopp era was the fact that the team pressed aggressively, ALWAYS. Even when it was a small percentage chance of winning the ball. This meant a lot of presses were beat, and Liverpool were always extremely vulnerable to counters, so conceded far too many goals because of that. That constant aggressive press could either dominate completely, or look stupid and concede a lot.
Slot has them pressing ONLY when there's a very high chance of success. Otherwise, they won't commit, allowing them to stay more solid and leave no space between the pressing attackers and the defence who were SO exposed consistently. It's safer, more conservative. He's tweaked it really well.

Let me break down Pep record when he first came for his 11 games was 10 win and 1 defeat IF we were to include a playoff Champion League Qualifying round against Steaua București of Romania which City Won both legs. But if we are to EXCLUDE those qualifying round in UCL, it will be less that that, which is 8 PL games/ 1 League Cup game/2 UCL games (9 win 1 lost 1 draw)

They were given a very sloppy challenge and that's the only difference between them and Chelsea, but we as Chelsea outplayed them, no doubt
That was not a penalty. Liverpool should have had 2 penalties, and Chelsea should have been down to 9 men. This ref was doing everything to give Chelsea a point.
