120Hz Refresh rate is very good. I've had it on 60 for days to spot the diff and when I switched to 120Hz , it was smoother and not just in the settings app
@4:00 Hot tip from a MIUI user.. u can actually pull the control centre down by scrolling down from anywhere on the screen, not just from the top... helps reduce the times where u need to strech your thumbs hahah

How you couldn't notice the massive stuttering? I had the base model SD 685, 4GB, 64GB and it was almost unuseable, stutters all the time. Had to return it.
When I bought this phone at first it was fine, but after 6 months it started having problems. It gets stuck sometimes, sometimes the calls to answer or the rejection do not appear and once when I went to open RUclips, the phone froze. I really regretted buying it and it has disappointed me a lot. When I had a Samsung in the previous years, I was very happy. I will not buy Xiaomi again, especially the budget ones. I prefer Samsung and iPhone which are valuable!
@@dougdoug9223 I'm not sure what the issue is with the phone but miui just seemed very laggy most of the time. Not sure if it was because of the 4gb but my older phone with 4gb on android 12 didn't lag as bad as this device!

I'm watching this review in my brand new Redmi Note 12 128+6GB as I drop this comment. I'm still fresh to the Redmi ecosystem, but I can definitely tell this has gave me a great value for money. It's a very solid phone in every aspect told in this video, but it doesn't handle night photography very well. The speaker does pretty well, but I wished there were stereo speakers. Although not the perfert budget phone, it's beautiful and powerful and battery lasting, and even gives all the comfort that I need. Thanks so much for providing us the best phone reviews❤❤❤
Until a certain extent, the Second Space feature crashed when I activated it. It wasn't expected to happen to a 6GB RAM phone, but I don't need to use it. Overall, the UI has been running okay
@@djezio258 It is a practical phone overall and would do the normal tasks okay for me imo but I'm concerned about the build quality because I'm coming from Nokia 6.1 (2018) and the way it is built like a tank it is still working so how would you rate the build quality on note 12 for long term use like 4-5 years?

Can't get over this guy calling the black, glossy back of the Pro versions horrendous 😂😂 Plus the way he said it, his tone 😂😂😂 You're really good bro. 💪
I use Rn12 8/256GB, which does exist, just difficult to find. I had rn12 6/128GB, but I needed more space. I was told this model doesn't have a model with 256GB of storage, and I was ready to deupgrade this awesome phone, for a less good phone (redmi 12). Fortunately, I found a model with 256GB of storage, so I bought it. I'm satisfied. It kinda feels premium to me. In games it does lag sometimes, when there's 2 much going on, but it can run games on low or medium quality. It can't complete with higher class phones (obviously), but with other budget phones, it can. It's one of the best I've tried. Samsung makes good budget phones 2, but will never surpass Redmi in that 1. Only with cameras and software.
@soulbeautymakeovers I'd say Samsung Galaxy S23 (Plus/Ultra), because it really does show every single detail. But it depends if you're on a budget or not. If you are looking for a bit cheaper phone, I'd recommend looking a good look at one of the older models from the S series (like S21 or S22). Or something from Huawei, like Huawei P50 pro, P40 Pro+, P40 Plus, P40,... I'd still recommend asking someone who knows a lot of phones or doing your own research. But I'd definitely recommend something from Samsung, Huawei, perhaps even Sony, because they're very-well known for their cameras, even an iPhone, but colors look a bit unnatural, like iPhone 12, 13, 14, 15 (max/pro max/ultra).
CAREFUL! I bought the Redmi Note 12 Pro+. When I need to add payment cards to the Google Pay app wallet, Google doesn't allow it. It does not allow you to browse online shopping sites. The seller and Xiomi or Mi did not assume the problem. And little by little, the google store blocked all the apps because the cell phone does not offer security. The equipment is under warranty and no one assumes this bug. I've been a Mi customer since Mi3 I've had many other phones, this Redmi12 Pro+ will be my last and I won't buy another one again. I do not recommend the Mi or Xiaomi / Redmi brand to anyone because I consider it a fraud in the mobile world.
Really good review 👏. Please i need your opinion, which would you get if you're offered the Tecno Spark 10 pro and Redmi Note 12. From a gaming and overall performance point of view.
Good review but I think it's really unfair that you review the low gb, I got 6gb/128gb as a secondary phone. it works pretty well even the 120hz on other apps. the bad thing is the camera
At this point in life I dunno why android users are so fixated in having updates for less robust phones. I had a Redmi 9 (Prime), and believe me it was such a good phone, Two to three updates was enough to make it sluggish and bad with the battery life. Different than Apple, most Android phones are not tested besides the starting software. They truly make their best for what comes with the phone first, but after that, every update is not tested enough, has features removed, and so on. So, unless I NEED the Android security features, I won't update no more, Not even MiUI. Unless you pay for the best phone in the line, that one will handle any bad update well because the hardware is insane, cheaper phones that need a better optimized system won't get that on updates, and that's sad. Also, beautiful phone, I got one I'm just waiting to arrive. Deffinitely a step up compared to my previous one.
I was using Redmi 9 few weeks ago (had to buy note 12 cos I took it underwater) I switched miui to lineage and everything's smooth, I bought it at 2020 and used until sept 2023
I'm still using my Redmi Note 9 and it's still performing well since I've had it for 4 years now. I've dropped it a lot and the only thing battered is the exterior (since I've stopped using cases). I'm not even using a screen protector, it's just the screen itself now and it's holding up well, no lines, no anything. The battery is still the same, fast-charging and long battery life. I think people are expecting too much for a budget phone. It has served me well for my basic needs. My mom is getting the Note 12 which I think is very good.
