MC is genuinely a really good guy. He considered her acts when she changed due to circumstances. He already forgave her when she didn't know what she did wrong. FMC also gave the final push to his emotions. This is the best plot I've seen in a while.
He isn't just good. He is also very weak. He could be just as good, without still being stuck on such an awful person. Instead he is still making excuses for that girl to justify his inability to hold her accountable for her cruelty. It doesn't matter why she turned out that way. All that matters is that she chose to become an awful person.
Only 11 minutes in so far, so halfway point. Honestly with what they are doing and how he has been treating her, I cannot comprehend what she sees in him.

@@maxpowers9129 2 things, first guys are taught to not share emotions, and second, it's not so easy to kill a crush. She did turn into a cruel person, but if you know someone as being a better person, it can take potentially years to unlearn your positive feeling towards said person.
Like I know someone who had a good friend, said friend however caused a big mess due to a recommendation and won't recognize the recommended person was a bad person, nor will said friend apologize. But it still took half a year for the person I know to actually stop trying to engage with their (quickly heading to be former) friend. And they were a fully grown adult.
Similar to how HE viewed all girls as players who would just mess around and toy with guys hearts and was avoiding to not get burned, SHE likely viewed guys in a negative light, due to her father ditching his family. It's a cycle of hurt that she unknowingly contributed to, and at the end she realized what she did, though way to late to reverse her choices.

@@Rezagard I wouldn't forgive her either. But I'd think that she's just mentally unstable and is trying to have fun ignoring what hurts. I'd also want to think that she isn't fully dedicated to the boyfriend due to her being a broken mess.
Aside from that hilarious Jojo reference, this quite emotional and dramatic. I love how Iori stick and even defend the MC for what his "troubled" childhood friend Riko to the point in tears, at the end it may take time to heal but Tomoaki and Iori are now official. This is one of the best that I've read, 10/10!
Also, the VA's did a fantastic job!
It felt oddly satisfying seeing Iori cry for Tomoaki. Being able to understand someone so much that you can express the feelings they can't on their own is something I think everyone should have😁😁😁

Well, if I may, Riko can rot alone with her problems as she lost someone great in her life. I can understand why she became bad, yet it's just an excuse. She's using this as an excuse. And that's why people like her IRL should rot alone, defenseless and struck with regret forever.
Riko CHOSE that way, Kori and Tomoaki tried to persuade her to change somehow, she didn't listen.
If I was in Tomoaki' shoes, I'd just ignore Riko for making Iori crying. I'd not even acknowledge Riko as someone in my life.

I have mixed feelings about her character. She behaves like a playa dudes loving bimbo, hating nice guys. "More of a childhood friend", knew he had feeling for her when she fake confessed to him, seems amusing to her that he moved away cause of her, that he was on a date when they met and that the girl he was with is as good looking as she finds herself to be. Yet supposedly she was a nice and caring girl, and seemed guilty/realized that she was an ass-hole and hurt the guy who genuinely cared for her.
The dude is weird too. Got hurt to the point he felt the need to run away from the girl, change schools, promised himself to never trust girls any more. Yet he still thinks about her, seems to have feelings for her still, cherishes her as his childhood friend, "is over this" cause she was nice and caring but her dad actions broke her, but he was on verge of crying while letting the girl basically dance around his emotions yet again with the way she talked about him and what happened.

Honestly I kind of like the idea of the mc not wanting to fall in love because of a past rejection thing. It shows that the MC has been through a lot and gives a reason why they reject the FMC

Damn... I can actually feel the trauma and pain the MC has in this manga, its aching and pressuring against the chest, this is definitely one of my favorite and best romcoms ive ever watched, it really connects me with the MC and gives me a dive into the plot

Honestly I don’t really blame Tomoki. That fake confession traumatized him and what makes it even worse is that it was his childhood friend that did that too him. But he’s way too kind. How can you still care about someone who literally played with your feelings. I really felt Iori’s rage when she was talking and defending Tomoki. If it were me I wouldn’t even care still for the childhood friend. She ain’t worth it.
I agree. But unfortunately, Tomoki is too kind to forgive Riko and still values her as his childhood friend even though she traumatizes him and made him having trust issues to women. If I'm Tomoki, same as you. Screw that childhood friend and move on. Iori proves enough her love to Tomoki when she defends him from Riko.

I've seen about a two thousand videoes on Romcom mangas in my time, and this one sticks out, a true diamond in the rough! Amazing preformance by the voice actors, especially Iori's voice actress! A rare Gem/10

I've seen quite a lot of scenarios in other manga dubs where the girl explains the reason why she fell in love with the guy and for me, all of them felt empty and I have not been able to feel anything towards the plot of those romcom stories. I felt no "romance" in them. They were unable to invoke any feelings of "romance" inside me.
But this part here, is different from the others. Her words have *weight* in them that I felt and made me think that "ah this girl truly does loves him". Those feelings I felt was amplified even more when she said "I love him, but thanks to you he won't even acknowledge my feelings!", which goes to shows that she's frustrated that she can't be with him, but more importantly, angry the she hurt someone she loves. Even the childhood friend felt the girl's strong declaration of love towards him.
I thought it was just gonna be a whole typical exchange of "you can't see the good in him" between the girls, but that whole section made me tear up. I'd say that what made me feel like that is the well written story and the *Voice Actress.* Not to discredit other for their work, but if it was any other VA's I doubt I would feel anything in that scene.

Out of all MC’s who went through these fake confessions in our favourite manga channels Tomoaki had to be the one who got broken to the point he can’t trust anyone. I feel like his dull and lifeless tone is also a result of that experience from his “childhood friend” Riko. Sure she went through something bad, but what she did still wasn’t right. Well at least Iori is healing him now! 👍👍👍
Oh and the voice acting is really on point with the emotional story here! You literally could feel Tomoaki and Iori’s pain at times. Well mainly Tomoaki’s, but still the voice acting was on point!!🎉🎉🎉
Edit: 2mnths later and I still stand by this analysis of mine. Well observation, though I have noticed one other thing after rewatching this. Tomoaki is actually extremely kind despite his trauma as he doesn’t hate Riko as her father left her and her mother for some other woman. I still don’t think what Riko did to Tomoaki was right as even though she realised the error of her ways she still stooped to a low level which resulted in our friend Tomoaki getting broken. At least Iori picked Tomoaki back up
Tomoaki was justified in how he felt towards relationships. That awful childhood “friend” impacted him in such a negative way that his outlook on relationships was bleak. Iori kept pursuing him even though he was against the idea of her love for him. I don’t agree with this method but I do believe in building something step by step but if someone obviously isn’t interested you keep it moving. Beyond that I’m glad Iori proved her love to Tomoaki and defended him when they met up with his former friend.
Honestly one of the best stories I’ve seen on here. Please keep up these kind of stories folks 👍
The childhood friend will be slowly realizing she did to the MC what her dad did to her mother. Only made worse when her boyfriend leaves her since he doesn't want to be associated with someone like her in case rumors about her start spreading. And whatever friend group she's a part of will follow suit in leaving her for reasons that are most definitely connected to her terrible personality. With no friends in her corner, she is forced to confront the fact that she became a terrible person and threw away the trust and love of the one person who cared about her the most simply because she couldn't just talk about her problems with her friend like a normal person.
She tries to go see him in hopes that Tomoaki and Iori haven't gotten together yet so she can take back her words, only to see them sharing their first kiss. And while he still considers her a friend out of kindness, it's clear whatever dynamic they had before and whatever emotions or feelings he had for her have long since died. She has to live with her regrets and watch the love she could've received go to someone else. While she tries not to let it show in public, she cries herself to sleep when she thinks about it for too long. Meanwhile Tomoaki and Iori are happy together and perfectly fine letting her be around them as a friend once she's apologized. But Iori is uber protective of Tomoaki and will not tolerate any of the cf's attempts to try swiping Tomoaki away from her after all her hard work getting through his trauma.
I like alot of your idea but I don't think the exs bf breaks up with her (he sounds like piece of shit too) but she starts regreting and when he mocks her ex after mc's leave them, she tells him to shut up and after than they slowly drifts apart the more her regrets grow.

She really just projected the same hurt she got from her father to him and it will grow into deep deep regret later. But since she is still young there is time for her to grow from this before she turns into the MC herself and not open up due to causing pain.

I actually love how high-brow the humor in this comic is.
That joke about the MC calling the FMC “Gestalt” when she says she doesn’t even know what she’s writing anymore while they study (a reference to her starting to suffer from gestaltzerfall) made me laugh hard.
Also, the voice acting in this is phenomenal compared to so many other manga/comic reading videos out there. The dialogue is fully nuanced, and the emotion feels realistic.
Being hurt by your first love is devastating. Its hard to move past it, especially if you have absolutely no support system in your life, which is unfortunately often the case.

Normally, the thumbnail art is superior than the art of the story itself, so I was really surprised by the fact that the art of the story is actually better this time. However is the artist, he/she have great talent.
This is such a good one, everyone was human and even if did something wrong, made amends for it. I strive to be like MC, understanding and respecting.
This can be a problem on how bad traumatised gets resurfaced from happening again. If he already met his worst foe once again along with his supportive, remember to roast it back after to jeopardise his foe.

This is by far the best I've ever read, other than the JoJo meme reference. MC's childhood friend Riko traumitized him, Iori wants to be MC's boyfriend even though he won't acknowledge his feelings for Iori due to his traumatic past and even to the point that Iori defended the MC from Riko (who now has a BF) and in tear just for that. At least in the end the MC and Iori are now officially a couple, one step at a time. Fantastic!👍
Honesty you can’t blame Tomoaki his childhood friend Riko played with feelings and doesn’t feel guilt😡 Iori despite her stubbornness didn’t give up in wanting Tomoaki to be her boyfriend and her telling off Riko for what she did was satisfying hopefully she’ll get a reality check and change and Tomoaki and Iroi can enjoy their relationship in peace☮️🖤🤎💍.

MC has a good heart forgetting his childhood friend but I don't agree what he said about her. Everyone has your own problems, dude. "Don't be what they did to you". She had a awful attitude with him, disrespecting his feelings. She never apologized to him until the FMC argued with her.
It's incredible how a girl what still is knowing the MC has more respect and admiration by him than other girl who knows him since the childhood.

Tbh I kinda wish we had a visual in this video of her dad and monther because we only really have one side of the story and since her dad was gone this information can only have come from Riko's mother.
Riko personality and way of acting to the MC (her childhood friend) changed so fast that she was willing to cause emotional damage to him, and i can only think this sort of twisted thinking can only start from home.
I know this from IRL my Dad would say random "storys" to me when i was yonger about my mom hence why i hardly speak to the guy now, so it defo makes me wonder what the full story is with the parents.

I kinda wanted to hear what Riko was gonna say but it would just be thoughtless nonsense. I wish they would end up becoming friends again later.
Well we all know what Riko has done when she realized her mistake for what she did to Tomoki. Even she apologized to Tomoki for her terrible fake confession prank, her guilt will always haunts her for the rest of her life in regret.
As for Riko's father, oh you're not gonna believe what happened to him after he left his wife and Riko for another woman, well it turns out that the woman he had an affair with is actually a swindler who only slept with multiple men for money and then dumped them which she ended up got arrested, when Riko's father found out that she only loved his money not him and the fact that she cheated on him with other guys, he attacked her in a fit of rage and he ended up got arrested for assault. When he released from prison, he tries to get back with his ex wife and Riko but she refused and drove him away saying that they cuts him out of their lives years ago. Now he became homeless forever. Remember, her father is the reason why Riko became a jerk. Even though Riko did something wrong, she's actually a victim because of her father's affair.

Tomoaki sure had a tough time with his childhood friend, if I was him I would've dealt with it the same. I'm just glad he met someone like Iori who love him for who he is. I also don't blame Riko for her change in attitude, but that's no excuse to throw out someone who was really close to you! Thanks to Iori, Tomoaki got some closure and move on from Riko.

Definitely need a part 2, starting with what the ex-childhood friend BF reaction of what the ex did to the MC back then. I wouldn’t be surprised if he demanded an explanation and then decided to break off all relationships with her.
10/10 would watch again, fantastic writing! I love the effort and emotion the voice actors put into the characters really made them come tonlige not just static images.

One of my favorite mangas ive seen. The art is so amazing and the voice acting was some of the best ive seen in these mangas. Super cute

I really hate girls like in this story. There’s no way I would run away from being played like that. His childhood friend should have been called out. Japanese culture, think to much about what others think about them. It’s very annoying, and depressing they think that. In America you know that girl would have been destroyed in school for horrible actions.

Sorry doesn't cut it and the circumstances you are in doesn't excuse your behavior. Frankly speaking I'd wish that dare confessions and fake confessions as a whole were an expellable offense and put down on their student records in big fat bold letters. That type of mental manipulation is unacceptable.
