Launching My Own Sewing Pattern - Testing it & What Will it Look Like?

- I can't believe I am actually typing this: it's official! I am launching a sewing pattern.
I don't yet have a name for the pattern, so if you have any name recommendations for such a timeless, feminine and chic sewing pattern, please do let me know! I would love to hear from you!
In this episode I will be sewing the pattern and showing you the first draft of the pattern I am hoping to launch in July.
Most likely mid to end July.

The pattern is a slip dress, and my heart behind it, is that it will be something that you can wear for YEARS!
When I think about the sewing patterns that I want to launch two words come to mind. Timeless and Chic!
So I feel like this sewing pattern is hitting the nail on the head.
The pattern will be ready for testing soon, so if you'd love to be a tester, make sure to follow me on Instagram, as I will be putting more details on there.
I can't end this description without thanking all the fellow sewists on here for all of your support for my sewing content over the years! It's meant so much, and honestly, I feel like it's just the beginning!!!
This dress was made using satin fabric.
For this project I used a sewing machine, scissors, rotary cutter, cutting matt, clipping shears, seam ripper, iron and , pins.
Everything is filmed and edited by myself.

I love creating and I want to share my progress of spending time with my craft, whether it’s sewing or other activities. You have designed a lovely pattern. The neckline is very flattering. I have been looking for a slip dress pattern with wider straps for bra coverage. A small tip, because it is cut on the bias, would be to let the dress hang without hemming for 24 hours. Sometimes the hem can end up needing to be recut to make it even/straight. If you have a dressmakers hemming tool that can be helpful.

I am also an newish mum (she's 2.5) and I'm constantly thinking of things I want to do, I want to sew my own clothes, no I watch people on RUclips do it, I want to start a blog, no I read other people's, I want to get a degree, no mum guilt kicks in and I talk myself out of it and here you are constantly putting yourself out there, trying new things and if I could be a little more like you I would be xxx
Amy, I feel you! There's so many things I talk myself out of on a regular basis. Like at the beginning of the year I said I would launch a newsletter, so I can write more and I haven't yet done it! Pick the one thing that YOU REALLY REALLY are dying to get on with, and start with that! Sending love! I also really get the ugh of a baby pooch, my oldest is 4, my youngest is 2.5 and no matter what I do and how much weight I loose, there’s no getting rid of that little floop of tummy that’s always hanging around. Since having kids high waisted anything are my friends ❤❤❤

I loveee that the dress is bra-friendly; I always feel more comfy and secure when I'm able to wear one, and this dress is so elegant and hides it so perfectly. Already thinking about making one in linen or cotton with a waist tie for a more casual look 😍

Oh what a beautiful dress. I love it! Yes after 2 babies my body doesn’t look the same but I do love myself for what I achieved in my daily work weather cooking, gardening or cleaning the house. Sewing has been a new hobby for me and I am excited learning new project and grateful for your teaching. You already inspired so many people and I am sure you will succeed in all things you do. 6:10 I go for body neutrality. I don't need to be toxically positive but also I need to be kind to my body and kind to myself. We grew humans! Our stretch marks and our pooch are testimony to our hard work.
7:02 this is so exciting and if you do get negative comments and delete them straight away and acknowledge that you are doing some thing that someone else isn't doing. It's so easy to criticize other people when you're not actually doing the thing.
