Hosenfeld was a soldier, he had to join the army. Before the war, he was a school teacher. During the war, he helped many other people, too. He has been recognized as a Righteous by the Yad Vashem since. There is a good documentary about him here on YT.

Indeed. He also helped many Poles during the War too under the rule of Hans Frank.

Hello wonderful people. My great grandmother was from Warsaw. She was a amazing woman and the center of our family. She came to America in 1946. She was polish and Jewish. She survived 21 months in concentration camp. She lost both her parents, two brothers and one sister. She and another sister was the survivors of her family. A family of seven and only two survived. She loved Poland , America , her family and God. I miss her so much.

Hello from Romania!!! I just found your channel and I have to say I really enjoyed your reaction to The Pianist as for the length of the reaction for me personally it was perfect and don't worry you're not to late in the ,,reaction game,, so to speak and also another WW 2 movie I personally like is Defiance with Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber based on a real story just like the Pianist. Keep it up !!!👍

Hello there! :D We're so happy you enjoyed it, it really was a guessing game how to approach a movie reaction, since people seem to have vastly different tastes. We're hoping to put out another one soon, though it'll be a bit of a different genre. :D I actually haven't seen either of these movies, and I don't think I've ever heard Waldemar mention them, so I'm gonna let him know you suggested these and we'll add them to our list. Thanks a lot!!

@@WW-Reactions There's never too few movies to watch, but there are a small number everyone reacts to. The latter starts feeling stale to me, but you should still watch them because they are popular and, of course, you want to get a fan base. Hopefully you will stretch your catalogue occasionally, though. Good luck!

Have you watched Come and See? It's one of the best films I've ever seen, many consider it the best anti-war film

Great reaction you two, and way to keep it honest and real. Don't worry about subscribers like some others might say, if you enjoy doing film and tv reactions then do it for fun. A really good reaction couple is TBR Schmitt, if you want to get a feel for how to run the channel and so forth, but of course, everyone does things their own way so keep being you!

Thanks a lot for your comment. I actually saw yours before I the other "discouraging" one, so you really softened the blow. I'm so happy and moved every time people take the time out of their day to watch and say something nice to us. And thank you for recommending the other channel, of course we want to be authentic and have our own style like you say, but it's always an excellent idea to learn from those who already succeeded. We take a lot of inspiration from other channels and their hard work :D - Weronika

Thanks, very interesting to hear your review, as Polish people. It's great to understand the various Polish contexts, songs, etc that I didn't know about that are in the film

@@WW-Reactions I have in the past mentioned the war with Polish people, just briefly, and it only takes a short time before I realise the deep trauma that people today still have because of what happened to family members and cities and towns in Poland.

You are Polish and you don't know anything about Chopin?
Also fun fact: Ignacy Jan Paderewski (a pianist and a composer) became the Prime Minister of Poland after World World 1.

Great reactions! I just watched a new World War 2 film entitled "Irena's Vow." It's a Polish-Canadian film about real events that took place in Poland during WW2. It was an amazing film about a young Polish woman who hid Jews during the war. If you get a chance to watch it, I think that you would both enjoy it. My wife and I (we live in the United States) watched it a few days ago.

Yeah, we got a lot of feedback along this line, we'll be working on it. It's harder to get a sense of what comes our right than you'd think. But indeed we can always go back into what happened in our comments while not chopping up the movie so badly. Thanks a lot.

Dear Madam, you don't really need to see Star Wars, there are so many much better sci-fi universes with much more interesting plots and premises. The Marvel super expensive CGI crap is also not worth the detour for thinking people older than 13 (and I presume you are a thinking adult). Indiana Jones is for kids, too. But Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit are great (it's even better if you've read the books before), Die Hard is great too. There are so many other great movies, some of which your partner may not have seen either. Don't waste your time on Marvel, though.

Incredibly rude and completely unnecessary comment. Escape from Sobibor is an interesting film but very long about the breakout from the camp there. Maybe bring to the attention of more people some of the great Polish films that cover the war. Films like Katyn ?
