Birth Story Over Pizza and Italian Style Soup | Plant Based Storm

- Hey y'all, Stormi here from Plant Based Storm. Today's video is a chat with friends and it features a birth story over pizza and Italian soup. This story is beautiful, emotional and triumphant. I think it is relatable and holds things within that have affected us all. Please join me for a heartfelt chat with friends over food.

Crust
2-1/4 cups of flour plus a few tablespoons and enough for rolling
2 tsp active dry yeast
1 cup of warm water
1 Tbs of applesauce
1 Tbs each of: nutritional yeast, basil, oregano, Italian seasoning, garlic and onion powder
cornmeal
Preheat over to 430 F.
Mix 1/2 cup water and the yeast and 1 tbs of flour. Allow to sit for 3-4 mins to activate.
Add the 2-1/2 cups of flour and the rest of the ingredients (except the Tbs of flour unless needed to make dough not sticky) and mix well. Set aside for 15 mins.
Roll out to desired shape, place on a cornmeal sprinkled baking sheet and poke holes with a fork. Bake for 3-4 minutes remove from oven and top with desired toppings and marinara. Bake until desired doneness.
Italian Style Soup
1 Bunch of Dinosaur Kale
3 Carrots
2 stalks of celery
1 onion
4 cloves of garlic
1-(32 oz) jar of marinara
1 quart of vegetable broth
32 oz of water
1 Tbs of Italian Seasoning
Garlic and Onion Powder to taste
1 cup of noodles of your choice (cooked separately following package instructions).
De-stem and cut the kale and dice the veggies. Add all ingredients to the pot. If cooking on the stove, cook until the veggies reach desired tenderness. If cooking in the instant pot, set it to high pressure, 3 mins, quick release. Add cooked noodles, mix and serve.
Vegan Parmesan
1/4 cup of cashew
1/4 cup of nutritional yeast
Pulse in blender until it resembles Parmesan Cheese.

I just cried through your whole story. I am so sorry about the loss of your brother-in-law. I cannot imagine the grief you all feel. All the challenges you have faced have certainly rocked your world these past several weeks. I will pray that you can find peace that only the Lord can provide. Your daughter is beautiful! I am thankful she is healthy.

Thank you for sharing your story. I’m sorry about your brother in law, praying for you all! So glad you are all ok and hope things calm down for you all. I had my 4th child June 2020. I was so paranoid about getting Covid and not being able to have my baby with me. At that time they would quarantine baby away from momma. I even avoided family get togethers in my last trimester because I wanted to be cautious. All went well but a week after I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia and was admitted into hospital for 5 days. That first 24 hours I couldn’t have my baby with me because of the medication. It was so hard! I was able to have him after but only because I was breastfeeding him. Thank god for that! Having him with me helped me so much going through that. I wish you all well, take care!

Thank goodness they didn’t have to quarantine Evelyn they said she likely had it before birth anyway. Some moms get really sick and have to separated from their babies for 10 days or more they told me. Heartbreaking.

I am so very, very sorry for the loss of your brother-in-law, and the upset and grief your family has gone through. What a beautiful story, and a well done video as always, telling your heartfelt story while cooking for us as your friends. The whole time you were telling your story I couldn't help but think, were you all vaccinated? I know some folks are advised not to be, depending on their medical status (allergies etc.), but in general the majority of people benefit. Again I am so sorry for your loss, and glad to hear that you are all doing as best as you can now.💚 ...Edited...Oh! I saw in the comments you responded that the majority of your family were vaccinated, and received additional treatment as well. So glad to hear. That could very well have helped prevent worse outcomes. All the best to you and your family!

Thank you so much! I am thankful she is ok. Like I said my son tested negative but I’m pretty sure he ended up with it. He had a slight cough. But overall the kiddos didn’t have any symptoms at all. Especially the baby. It’s crazy to see the damage it can do to adults and most kids don’t even know they have it...which I was thankful for. I hate to see them sick. ❤️ thank you for the prayers 🙏

Wow what a story! So sorry about your brother-in-law. Just wondering if anyone in your family got the vaccine and if these were break-through cases? Ím signing up for the booster since I am a teacher and got the first 2 last spring.
Thank you so much!! Yes the majority of family members actually had the full vaccine. And they were definitely breakthrough cases. Most of us got the infusion as well. Wish you all the best ❤️
