It’s Christmas Eve 9.45pm and I am here hook in hand starting my Christmas Eve project. Merry Christmas everyone 🎅🎄🤶 Merry Christmas Clare and thank you 🎅🎄🤶
☃️I couldn’t be with you as my families get together was🎄Christmas Eve 🎅🏻🤶🏻But I’ve been doing it tonight Dec.25,21Mug Rug Clare I hope you & yours had a Merry Christmas🌟 To all the Group: I hope you had a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday🌲 And I wish all a happy & safe & healthy New Year 🎉♥️
It's Christmas Eve day in Connecticut USA and I'm working on a baby blanket gift. Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and a happy healthy New Year. Take care, Kris K 🧶🎄❤
Have a Bless 2022 and I wish you and your Family good Health, more Wealth, Happy Crafting. You make World a little better with your crafts. Happy New Year!!!
This is exactly what I was planning to do after Christmas! I have several tubs full of scraps and partials. I make lots of hats and scarves for donation, but also like scrappy blankets. Perfect timing!
@@nancymacdonald2395 I think if we keep one strand in a lighter weight as a constant, it should work just fine. Doesn’t need to be the same color..more fun to switch it up maybe, just ONE strand on the hook being the odd man out, so to speak. This is a fun project that invites us to don our lab coats and experiment.
I love love love holding multiple strands and crocheting and knitting blankets. My fav yarn is fingering held 3 together. It always turns out so squishy and cozy.
Me too! It can create some fabulous colour combinations. I have been thinking of doing a fingering weight project with 3 strands. I can't decide if I want a blanket, sweater or cardigan 🤔
I also crochet Trivets using 3 different color strands held together. Part of the fun is seeing the colors create one combination. Doesn't matter what u put together.
Thanks for the tutorial, Clare - I think I'll make some mug rugs on Christmas Eve, as my daughter already has a pile of blankets that I've made over the years! Lol I could do with some new coaster-type things to protect my furniture, & the beauty of these, is that they can be washed - brilliant! 👍💖
I am so pleased you are back. I have made so many of your projects over the years. You explain things so well, it’s a joy watching you. Have a very happy Christmas x
I love your tutorials Clare! Your camera really zooms in to know exactly where to place our crochet hooks. I'm curious about the animal you showed through your window. I would love to visit Australia some day. My dad was stationed there during WW Ii. Happy New Year from Houston, Texas!
Just catching up with my favourite RUclips teacher of all things crochet. Thanks Clare I will keep this project in my mind for my next "use up all my stash" project..For now I'm caught up.Happy New Year Clare 🦈🌸🦈
At 16:16 one colour was dropped, but it's ok, I just noticed, and just saying lol 😂 or it might have been the gold yarn camouflaged into the hook. Don't mind me 😊. Love doing the scrap blankets. Thanks for the tutorial. Crocheting from Tasmania in spring.
if you made them using cotton then yes it could be used for both. I would stay away from acrylic as it will melt with heat. The thickness would be fine but you could use just 2 strands if you are worried.
I just received two huge tubs of yarn. All different colors. Great idea.
Loved how you showed the cutie outside...I am sure of it's correct name...🦡♥️
I sat and crocheted along with you this morning. I made a mug rug for my hubby. Thanks for all you do, Clare! Merry Christmas!!
Thank you so much melody! Merry Christmas 🎄
So pretty...Beanies make up great too 🇦🇺🇦🇺
So enjoying your Aussie accent and way of talking! Oh and the crochet too of course :)

Sounds great! Reward for working hard. Happy crochet to you too x
I love this idea. I have a lot of worsted weight yarn so I will need to get a larger hook. Is any one else using worsted weight yarn?
So exciting!
Love your coiler combos!! Thanks for sharing 💝🙏🏿💝🙏

I make these mug rugs too and gift them. My nurses love them!

Oh my! What even is that cute fellow out the window???

A wombat! It looks so cute. Are they friendly?? I love your scrap blanket and think this is a fantastic idea. Merry Christmas Clare! 🎅 🎄
Hi Trish! They can be. This is a wild one so if I go out the door it will probably run away. Merry Christmas!

Could be!
Love it!!!

What was that animal Claire? Merry Christmas to you!
It's a wombat
Merry Christmas 🎄
Would it be too thick for a placemat? Would it be safe for a hot pad (to place hot pots on the table)?
