Even in this whirlwind, there are chances to be had, thus an increase in volatility is not always a bad thing. You have an opportunity to rebalance thanks to volatility. In order to help you diversify your portfolio, you must hire a financial counselor or broker.

Disabled, I have been surviving on $475 to $812 per month here in Toronto for the last 20 years, but the idea of using food banks always seemed to be far to extreme for me and my circumstances. Thus I am curious to what the conditions are for those who do use the food banks. I use smarts instead. Recently I purchased roughly $90 worth of food and other goods, and did so at one of Canada's most well known stores. I then went on line to determine how much it would cost if I had shopped at No Frills for the very same items. It totaled up to over $185.

In 2008 I had a dream that forever changed how I prepare. In the dream I was standing outside the Superstore in a food line waiting to purchase food. In front of me were about 30-40 people standing singularly or side by side in twos. Suddenly a man armed with a shotgun appeared at my side, pointing his shotgun at me and shouting. Immediately, I broke away from the line and zigzagged along the nearby parked cars and ducked to the side of one. He caught up to me and pointed the shotgun at me... I woke up.
Years later Covid happened and while there were food lines in other locations and people lining up for food, etc some things were missing from the equation. Notably, aggressive civilians with weapons. But NOW, I believe I understand what was missing from the equation. I believe that the next significant cause for shortages is conscription, a draft, or one of its synonyms and it will be so bad, or eventually so bad that healthy looking men will be physically accosted to participate in any draft or conscription, or any related synonym.
Location: Canada and I believe I that I know the precise location, a small city I happen to live in now.

One possible way to have an economic system without inflation is by implementing a fixed exchange rate system where the value of the currency is tied to a secure commodity such as gold. Another way is by controlling the money supply through strict monetary policies and regulations to prevent excessive growth of the money supply.

There are more people living reliant on the hard work of the few farmers or suckling at a corporate teat than there has ever been. This is not healthy for either people or the future of humanity. If food has become so in demand and scarce, then it's time for many people to consider helping farmers, even for free/exchange, before getting starved out of a conditioned lifestyle.
