No, USA does not have a wealth driven culture. There is lot more sincerity in American and most western people as compared to Indians. They have the sense to do honest work; Indians even if they make money they will not do honest work. There is no desire to do their work and do their best.

My experience of passport application process in US: I went to city office for my daughter's passport application. I only needed to bring birth certificate and photos. I got 2 page application in the office. I filled it there and submitted it in 15 minutes. One person verified documents and application and took care of payment. Whole process took 30 mins and we got passport in 2 weeks.
In India I have applied for passport online submitted print 5 min for verification next day police verification passport delivery by post at 6 day if u have proper documents then superfast delivery of passport

I couldn't agree more. I had a similar experience during my first week in the US. I was casually strolling near my apartment and soon lost my way. As I was walking past blocks with some frown on my face, I was approached by a policeman, who was patrolling on his vehicle nearby. As an Indian, my first reaction was that of dismay and worry seeing a policeman or a 'khaakhi wardi waala' ( obviously, his dress code was different). He parked his patrol vehicle, came out and has already understood that I had lost my way. He personally escorted me to my apartment, we had a casual talk along the way and returned only when I entered my main door. I bid him good bye and now I had every reason to believe that I have arrived in a very different and efficient system. Moreover, during first few weeks I could realize that I had to reset my whole system or way of doing things not because things were confusing and different but rather very very efficient, orderly as they should be.
Thats the reason for braindrain and people who expect discipline.transperency and accountability never want to come back to India and live in this rotten system.
People in general faithful to the country but bureaucracy faithful to the mawali type leaders.
The current system for acquiring an Indian passport is way more simple and transparent except the police verification which paves way for corruption.

Irony is that, in Europe they have 'Public officials' and in India we have 'Public servants'.
Well I agree with you till some point we Indians actually need to modernize in an ethical way Government should realise this, I totally criticize the use of the word 'servant' and I think this heridatory arrogance coming with the post is the problem of the whole system and not just the people working in the machinery.
Word is rightly choose. Public servant is as they will serve public but here public has to serve them. And this system needs improvement in which it lacks and same thing is percolated to whole system

Reform in Indian bureaucracy is long pending thing , which no government wants to implement as it will reduce power in their hands and will ultimately empower the public.

I am not sure about other parts of India....but in Bangalore when I went for passport renewel (2017) entire process was very smooth and hassle free got it in 1 visit. (2-3hrs) and also got the parents passport renewel (in 2018) quit easily.....some have improved so well....still I cant say the same about obtaining Driving License.
Because it's handled by TCS a private organization

Perfect observation, specially example of passport and driving license. Other than addhar card, I had to give bribe for any of the document, including passport (police man to verify), driving license, rashan card, marriage certificate (even paid bribe, but after 10 months still waiting for that), and all.. but here in USA DL came up without single penny, registration of car, SSN etc came up without bribe or any special sifarish.

Someone stole my mobile and I go to file a complaint in a police station then a constable asked me to file a complaint for lost mobile instead of stolen mobile, Constable:- मिलेगा तो वैसे भी नहीं उल्टा बार बार आना पड़ेगा चक्कर लगाने पडेंगे तौ रहने दो ,And I finally asked him to register a complaint for my lost phone with my own will 🤣

Stolen will make it a case for theft, which is a cognizable offence. Police have to file Fir, then investigation, then closing report. Means lots of written work.

I agree with you Sir but in the process of elaborating and dissecting the Indian Bureaucracy, we should also remember that samaj ko police vaise hee milti hai jaise ka samaj khud hota hai. They get the protectors they deserve.

The persons holding Govt Jobs (From Bureaucrats, IAS, IPS, etc to Peon, Clerks, Sweepers) should not have Job Security at all. Any job with Govt of India, State Govt, Govt Undertakings should automatically terminate after 5 years. This should be the norm for 90%, of the posts except like emergency services such as Armed Forces, Nuclear Scientist, Brian Surgeons etc
There are 31,00000(31 lac) central govt employees. After terminating 31 lac govt employees, who will work in the office?? Please be practical...

@@NikangVideos6377 Not to mention this method will increase corruption by multiple folds. People will join civil services and mint as much money as they can in their short tenure of 5 years. Not to mention, the quality of civil servants would decrease by a lot too since after this policy there won’t be much incentives for talented people to join the services.

I always like your videos. The most likely reason that you didn’t see any government cars in New York might be that many of the officials tend to use their privately owned vehicles and get reimbursed on mileage basis. On the contrary, if you are in Washington DC area you will see lots of Government vehicles but cars as officials over here tend to use their privately owned vehicles while on official duties and get reimbursed on mileage basis. This was my observation while working on federal payroll. Your video content is really great and reflects more of Wharton experience than IIT/ IPS.
