The Return of the Jedi entry into the From a Certain Point of View series comes out in a couple of weeks! I got to read all forty stories, so here are my spoiler free thoughts on the book!

@@Xerocoomaybe from a 501st Clone fighting directly next to Anakin so we can see him going after ANY Knights or Masters instead of just building up a kill streak with his youngling slayer 9000 lightsaber...
In all seriousness, I think that the few seconds of holo recording that showed him fighting Cin Drallig is the only time in Canon that showed him going after anyone who could actually pose a threat to him (I'm not counting Shaak Ti because the RotS deleted scene/Lego Complete Saga version is canon, where she somehow didn't sense him and got killed in Jedi Meditation before she could defend herself).
I wish there had been a Rex focused story... maybe one referencing whether he had met Luke at any point before Endor, either that or mentioning him being 'off screen' when Luke cremated Vader's armor.

The CPV trilogy has been a delight and I eagerly await ROTJ. Would be pretty dope to get CPV for the other trilogies.

@@jims7044the one time disney's greed could come in handy is getting a Certain POV for the prequels and the sequels early. Who knows, maybe we will see them for the 30th and 20th anniversaries.

New Norra Wexley content?!!? Yes please! I loved the Aftermath books.
My favorite part was the story of Pryde before he became a General and his thoughts on the Empire losing on Endor. Now I can see why he is a straight-up Palpatine loyalist in Star Wars 9 and I can’t wait for the other two trilogies from the CPOV series.
So excited for the Mike Chen and Adam Christopher written stories. Those are definitely my favorite authors that partook in this and their stories sound awesome
wish Rex was in this but i get it. they might eventually commit that to an animated series

Really looking forward to the release, I loved the ANH and ESB books (especially ESB). Would love to see the other two trilogies get similar books (although if they keep up the 40th anniversary thing we'd be waiting until 2039 for TPM)

I would love to see more of these types of books for the prequel era, like for example; a story about elan sleezbogano from AoTC

I got the ANH version as an audiobook because I was driving a lot for work at the time. I actually missed my exit once because the route was new to me and the story was good. I got Empire as an audiobook to keep it consistent, so I will be doing the same with this one. That said, I drive considerably less, so it will take me a while.
3 of the 5 stories I'm most looking forward to were among your standouts. Can't wait to read them all!
Part of me was really hoping they were gonna use the Jabba's Palace section to bring Mara Jade back to canon.
What were your thoughts on Patricia Jackson’s story? I really enjoyed the retelling of the epic speeder battle on Endor.
My question is: Is there a story confirming Captain Rex was at the Battle of Endor? Even if it’s not a story told by Rex himself, I need this headcanon.
The series finale of "Rebels" confirmed it.
The time-skip epilogue of "Rebels" has Sabine narrate that both Hera and Rex fought in the Battle of Endor.
Is there a story about the Ewok who overheard Leia saying she'd "always known" she and Luke were brother and sister? lol

Still working my way through the Empire book. Normally i listen on Audible but since I read A New Hope CPofV i wanted to do the same for Empire but between comics, parenting (mostly the culprit behind my lack of reading), and other things I barely get the chance to sit and read. But they are fun stories for the die hard fans.
Can't believe we are getting 2 anthology books so close together!! At least I'll have something to read in queues while at DragonCon!!!

I’ve never checked out any of these titles BUT return of the Jedi is one of my favs n I’ve definitely been enjoying all of the anniversary stuff that’s been out, didn’t catch the rerelease but I was able to get a poster of it, and the emperor’s throne room and Death Star 2 Lego sets :D

Can we talk about how the sarlacc apparently is a vegetarian now. I guess the author closed their eyes on the scene where the sarlacc dragged a skiff gaurd into its mouth. I sure hope that this is one of the stories that are just fun and games.

So basically the book Form a Certain Point of View is like the "Tales From..." books released in the 90's. Nothing new there then. My favorites were Mos Eisley Cantina and Jabba's Palace.
I used to love those.
Despised the Aftermath Trilogy but really liked Nora and glad to see her return
