I’m 20 years old. I’ve been hurt and betrayed by everyone I called a friend. I’ve dealt with loneliness for years. It’s especially tough being in college. I can’t seem to meet any genuine people. I’ve been spending more time with God. I trust that God will remove any feelings of loneliness and social anxiety. He is all I need. 💜

God has placed so many good people in my life, just at the right moment when I needed them most ,some actually told me they were motivated by God to reach out to me ,its still kind of unbelievable yet it happened and still happens, he is awsome ,beyond words
Loneliness drove me to seek love where I should not have. After 30 years as a lesbian, I was broken and suicidal. I thank God every day for saving me from that perpetual darkness. He is the only light I have ever known.

1 Corinthians 7:9. I have wrestled with loneliness, a very long time. Relationships can’t cure loneliness. Loneliness is within you!!! The cure is being thankful for everything and prayer. A daily relationship with Jesus. Find out what you love to do and do it. Staying busy on a hobby or work you love. Stop thinking and start doing. Strike up a conversation with people at the grocery store, hardware store and everywhere you go. You will find you are not lonely, anymore. You will be content. Living alone can be a blessing.😊 Jesus loves ❤️
W. Washington, but finding love & human relationships in this life does help cure loneliness for many people, a relationship with God is a great thing to have, but humans were also meant to connect with other people , Many Single Christians still deal with loneliness
I'm 52, never married and also alone. I know you feel. It is true, no one can take the place of God in our life. I heard it once said when we're lonely, it's an invitation to open His Word. I will pray for you. Let's trust to seek Him and He will provide.

I truly thought I was one of the only few that has to deal deal with loneliness. I am shocked by the amount of people experiencing loneliness day after day. Only people who are lonely can relate to others that are lonely. There is a big difference between understanding loneliness and being lonely.
Loneliness and seeking the love from another person has nothing to do with replacing God in your life. God did not look upon man and say it is not that the man should be alone. I will make him an help meet for him, in order to replace himself in the life of the man. NO! After creating man, God realized man would need someone to show him love. Yes God shows us love but not in the way that another person can. God and man had a great relationship in the beginning, but yet I was God that said it is not good that the man should be alone, not the man. I walk with God and talk with God every day, trusting in him for everything, but yet I am very lonely and desire the love of another person. I am not looking to or trying to replace God in my life. There is something missing in my life that God saw after he created man and said it is not good. So many times I hear people say that God is the only one who can fullfil our loneliness. So then why did God himself say it was not good, and make an help meet for the man??? The most amazing relationship with God cannot cure loneliness and God saw that when he created man. God said everything was very good but this one thing. Man being alone. That was the one thing that was not good even though man had this amazing relationship with God. Man's loneliness was not and is not good to this day. No other time in the Bible does God address loneliness. What more needed to be said about it that he didn't already say! He said it is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him an help meet for him. And God brought her to the man. God never once said that man needed a better relationship with him to overcome loneliness. It couldn't get any better than what man and God had for a relationship. But yet again I am going to to point out that it was God who said it was not good that the man should be alone.
you made me think about this.Yes..you are right.Even before the fall..God had recognized the fact that man needede a companion.That it is not good for him to be alone.And this was the time when man had not yet sinned and had an intimate relationship with God.Hmmm..
Yessir but we walk right past Genesis and act like that’s not true because they replaced it with eviloution and science. Now the rugged individuality and women acting like men refusing wifedom and motherhood and stupid boys walking as men with no integrity or character or morals makes it very difficult to find companionship inside the home and marriage or in the community. I’ve been surrounded by shallow people my whole life and can talk to anyone but real friendships almost don’t exist because everyone wants something from the other instead of being there for everyone to be there best selves which requires tough conversations and truth as well as encouragement and inspiration without judgement. Seems something that has been eradicated from families and culture of the consumer and self. Much love brothers and sisters. I pray God restores us because I’ve prayed every other prayer. The last days have always been tough throughout the Bible when we have no gratefulness. If you try to stay on the peak of the mountain to long there is no where to go but down for a while. It’s the journey not the destination. The will of God is very different from the will of self. The Lord is my only peace in this suffering.
NO, we don't separate ourselves from others choosing to be alone. We are isolated by unloving people, being driven and separated from others. I have attended a number of "churches" only to experience the same thing again and again. I try to have a conversation with someone only to have them stop in the middle of saying something and turn and have a conversation with someone else as though they were never talking to me to begin with. This is what isolates a person from others. Not the choice to be alone.
I also feel like we're in a time where people don't know how to socialize as well. I have not really had a group of friends in a very very very long time. Everything is social media instead of face to face or actually hearing a person's voice over the phone.
Yes yes you are correct because I have experienced this very same attitude from people at church. I am single and lonely , all family members have turn their backs on me. I have help them all the best way I can, I look after our mother for years duing her illness. I and God alone buried her, I paid for all the funerals expenses and not one family member every say one word . They are all working but never contribute a penny towards her care. The long and short of it, they gather themselves against me without a cause apart from been envy and jealous. I am still astonished by the manner in which they behaved. With that been said I remember in the late 80s to late 90s I always have a vision that whenever I visited home, I can see all bothers and sisters including my mom gather against me. They stop me from coming in to the house. I ended up seeking refuge in my neighbor's house. It's a dream I have maybe once or twice per year for years and it finally come to pass.

I can relate to you. In my case, it's my parents who gave me this treatment and I grew up socially awkward. I worked very hard to be normal and failed many times. It's rare to have a normal conversation with them. Praise The Lord Jesus Christ that he saved me!
People who are not alone themselves don’t care. Why does God forces you to live when you don’t want to? He allows you to suffer depression and anxiety with no money and evil beings all around. That’s love?

65 years old and been alone most of my life. Bad choices have had a lot to do with it. Being lonely each and every day is indescribably executing. I am a Christian and I thank God that there is a God !

this is something that no preacher can help with,even the bible itself is silent on the subject, for whatever reason some people have to face life truly alone,surrounded by family, "friends" and "spouses" that on their best day can't even pretend to care. Like cancer ,loneliness choses who it will destroy ,there is no cure and after decades of begging God to change it,you realize that the correct prayer is simply for the strength to see it through ,only then can you realize that you can do just fine without anyone's help or sympathy, when only God cares about you ,that's great because only God matters

And still in the back of my mind I feel like i wont be lonely if im married, but i know that isnt true, but that God alone is the one who satisfies us. Here is something that stood out to me; many people will half-heartedly ask "What is the meaning of Life?" and no one will ever give a solid answer. However Jesus did define the meaning of life in John 17:23"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."
amen awesome reply i follow matthew were jesus said that when ur husband divorces u u cannot get married again ive been like this for 32 yrs my single friend in church we are same age she said i go to church and im still lonely i said me to we are both divorced women and as u get older it gets worse i can tell u from experience my uncle was a christian whom divorced his wife years ago he never got married again he served the Lord up until God took him home in 2009 stayed a faithful servant but when u talk to him u could see the sadness an lonliness in his eyes he tried to be upbeat but there was a lonely side wich he didnt let anyone see i saw it now im going thru the same thing it hurts i cry sometimes i cant fathom it i get no answers from God on this subject its like hes been silent to me it is really hurtful but i want to stay faithful to him and not stray from him but the lonliness is killing me inside so if anybodys got a reply be much appreciated God Bless every single christian persons xox
I've been going through a rough time. I thought I could do it on my own and that didn't work! God stayed by me anyway and is restoring my faith once again and building me stronger through the holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus! Amen

Wow reading the comments saddens me but I feel guilty because they also make me feel better (less alone). It's like I'm not the only one going through this. There are actually others like me that feel the deep seeded struggles of loneliness and why there seem to be a disconnect. I know God is healing scars and trust issues that creates the loneliness in my life. But most of all I thank God for being patient with me while I learn to let go and trust him. I thank God for loving me and showing me that he will truly never leave me.
I can so relate to this so much. I have been divorced a long time. It was abusive. I shut my self off to keep from getting hurt. Now that I’m older I realize that my fear has robbed me of many years of happiness. Sometimes you can be in a room of people, even people you know and still feel so alone.
This message has brought such a huge light into my life! Borderline personality disorder is a horrible mental disease that makes me feel lonely and empty all the time but keeping in mind that Jesus is there for me all the time, makes me feel loved and understood.
I've reached out and asked for prayer to other believers and was judged and ripped apart. It made things worse. Now I'm discouraged. I'm grateful and thankful that Jesus loves me. But I'm still broken. I feel like I'm kicked to the curb and piece of trash. I can't handle it anymore. I cry.

Dr. Stanley just said that you need to talk to our Father in prayer, only Him alone knows what and who He has planned for you.... Our Lord God chose you and He has a plan for you. The Lier wants to oppress us one way or another in the mind and heart. Pray and seek our Lord God in His Word! I know He loves you and He is there and you are wonderful made by Him.
Been socially isolated for my entire life. Never had a friend. My family has been there for me, but they're quiet and to themselves, so we barely talk. No close any family outside of my immediate family either. I have social anxiety as well. I've prayed about it for 12-15 years and nothing has changed. I've put myself out there on numerous occasions and still nothing changes. I'm going to be honest that makes me a little bitter. Its like I was born to be this way. It gets in the way of me believing in Jesus. Like I believe, but I don't. If I was to live a Christian lifestyle that would isolate me even more than I already am. I know because I have tried. I even joined church groups, but it always ends up the same. So, I always slip back towards the world because the numbers are better. But, I have no luck there either. I know maybe I've made it an idol, but it just hurts so much to be this way. I've tried being optimistic before, where I'm like "I'm only going to focus on God" and maybe he'll send someone my way, but after a year of hurting and no one coming into the picture, it gets hard to keep telling yourself that when you're a depressive wreck.
I know what you are feeling, I am disabled due to a vaccine, I had hardly any friends growing up. It was due to many events like abuse, etc while growing up that seemed to socaily stunt me. I drank and went to bars because I had to be buzzed to relate to people, always had a friend to drink with. Then married and alcoholic, divorced after 12 years. I stopped drinking when I realized that time to grow up was now. I have a husband now who loves me and it is mutual. Still loneliness is a lurking shadow. There is a place that we can create a chat for all of us. Anyone interested? I will check this comment line in a couple days to see if anyone is and I will create a chat on Chatzy. It will be a Christian chat if not a problem. There is no place for us otherwise . My favorite subject is God, but it is the world's worst idea of conversation.

This technology can and does make people feel more alone. People who are on the other end of a post or status update are probably just as alone. Social media is not for me, FB has destroyed, completely demolished the definition of a FRIEND. Then people who have hundreds of friends are so proud of it.
I've been alone for about 20 years, no joke, I've learned to accept it and live with it, I've noticed that I have changed, I'm more self aware when it comes to my safety, my mind knows how to get me out of uncomfortable situations, I can shut down my heart and turn cold emotionally if need be to not feel or get hurt myself. There's been a few times when a girl wants to talk to me but its like my whole body knows it and stops it, its almost like a shield of protection and it sort of makes me feel good. Being disconnected I see more clearly the true intentions of people that others don't. I've accepted the fact that I will die alone and I don't fear it anymore, though something still makes me feel hurt and sad sometimes because I'm alone.
The Lord doesn't want us disconnected from one another. We may go through a season of loneliness but I don't believe God intends for it to be a lifetime. God wants us to have good balanced relationships.
I have felt this way since my husband went to be with The Lord in 2019, I am raising 3 of my grandchildren, and I love them they have been a help to me.
I have a father who conspires against me & led me to estrangement. I been the wall building ostracized workaholic whose working on bringing it down & rebuilding my health & life from scratch later in life basically. It gets really hard being alone for years with no support system. Found recently a church i feel aligned with belief wise, so shall see if I can connect with like minded believers
This video was God-sent. I'm a 21-year-old student working full time and I have been socially alone for the past 3 years because of walls I've built to cover insecurities, but God has carried me when mentally I've felt the lowest even if others couldn't see it or find a reason. Some might call it depression or anxiety but I think its my own doing. This message Dr. Stanley and the word of God is more effective to me than what this culture of therapy/over-diagnosis fail to do. "If I'm connected to our Lord, I can connect to other people. If I'm not, I'm gonna be so self-conscious about what I need what I want..that i'll never have any joy in life...Many people have everything but joy happiness and a sense of fulfillment." Very true, no escapism will ever fill the love of God. I'm a shell of the person I was before, and it makes me come across as aloof and arrogant when really I'm too shy to initiate any friendships. I have ostracized my own self but I want to change, I just feel like I'm stuck.
The abuse I suffered as a kid made me a total loner and dislike and not trust people. I had a really hard time in trusting the lord but you know what...He was there with me every step of the way when I was being abused and sheltered me and It made me a more gentle ,understanding person which one day I made that realization after accepting the lord into my heart. What I am saying is...out of something bad came something good. His mercy and LOVE IS REAL. I pray every day for strength thru him and to help others in need. Thank You god for your LOVE AND MERCY. I am still asking for his help to forgive those who abused me but every day it gets easier if we trust in him and believe that christ died to wash our sins away.
Amen. I'm simply loving it. Being separate from a world that shunned my Savior is a privilege as God shows me daily that the distractions of this world have so many blinded. Loneliness doesn't mean you are alone. God, Jesus, and the Angel's is all the company I need. Amen.
Coming from a fatherless household I understand what it means when he talks about how dads are so important because I'm still struggling with loneliness I am single and a lot has happened to me but I know God is my father and it's a struggle I always try to see people and how they act to tell how they are and try to empathize with them but also I am dealing with loneliness and it's very very hard probably one of the hardest things anyone has to go through in life

I do feel "ostracized" Like people and I just don't agree. Like it's what they want like I'm forced to follow their lead and nothing else, I have no say. So I feel rejected. Considering how I am treated by people is how many friends I have, none. I mean being a Christian is hard to do the right thing & not stand out of a group of people who aren't Godly. And friends at church are only church people, they are not actual friends, they talk if you attend, if you don't it's like you were never there. It sucks. But that's how it is. So for me, I just don't trust and I always expect something else so I'm not surprised. I somewhat choose to be alone because rejection is not a good feeling. I mean I can be self-sufficient with God included but I don't want people who make me feel alone. No one does.

our Lord God loves us and He sends His children who have that unconditional live into your life. He uses us to love and He sends thise who will be the ones chosen by Him into your life. Seek Him and serve Him and you will see His love, mercy and comfort.
It is actually very sad how much loneliness there is. It's all around us, almost in everyone. But gosh there are people who just have it beaming off of them. I think it's easy to find people but, the right people are so muh more difficult. There is a majore difference between those. Sometimes I see people and they are just stuck, being married to the wrong person or they keep finding the wrong people. There's almost no cure for that. But the only place I feel wanted or truly cared for in God, it's important to be in constant prayer, sometimes, that will take the loneliness out. Without Jesus/God you have nothing. Everything else is replaceable. But being with God is all you need in life, he provides, he finds us the right people, he gives us strength, and he gives us peace, and he guides us.
Let me rephrase what I was asking is being in constant prayer something that you have had actually help you ? I'm quite curious because I've noticed that life is very messed up and daily I wonder why I'm here like millions

I am alone...go to church but when I am going through a hard time I never hear back from anyone at my church...been on my own since I was 14 years old...still am after my marriage failed.

I only ever wanted to be with one person. During the course of that relationship, I burned every bridge I’d ever built-willingly and happily even. I meant for all my time and existence to be for “my one”. For many years I loved in blind bliss just like this. When that relationship could not be so any longer, I found myself in the depths of loneliness. It has been many years since, but I still desire no one but that “one” even more than God many days and I have to deal with that as it comes up. But since then, ive never found any relationship of any type worth while. Which is sad because I know the Lord loves people.. I wish I could too.
That person is an idol in your life if you love them more than God. I love you enough to tell you the truth. I also understand the pain you feel, having been in a similar situation. All I can say to us, is imagine doing what we did for mere mortals for God? ♡
I agree. I felt he was putting it on us lonely hearts. He described it perfectly, but when people shut you out, usually for not being like them(is my opinion) then I'm not sure if he is saying go around them anyway? I don't like to be around people when I don't feel loved or liked by them. So I'm not sure what the answer is.

OMG! This is exactly how I’m feeling. None of my relationships bring me a feeling of belonging or satisfaction or many of the other qualities he mentioned like motivated or complete. I’ve been used to it so long but in recovery I’ve learned that it’s why I turn to alcohol.

Loneliness drove me to seek love where I should not have. After 30 years as a lesbian, I was broken and suicidal. I thank God every day for saving me from that perpetual darkness. He is the only light I have ever known.

Relationships can’t cure loneliness. Loneliness is within you!!! The cure is being thankful for everything and prayer. A daily relationship with Jesus. Find out what you love to do and do it. Staying busy on a hobby or work you love. Stop thinking and start doing.
Strike up a conversation with people at the grocery store, hardware store and everywhere you go.
You will find you are not lonely, anymore. You will be content.

I truly thought I was one of the only few that has to deal deal with loneliness. I am shocked by the amount of people experiencing loneliness day after day. Only people who are lonely can relate to others that are lonely. There is a big difference between understanding loneliness and being lonely.
Loneliness and seeking the love from another person has nothing to do with replacing God in your life.
God did not look upon man and say it is not that the man should be alone. I will make him an help meet for him, in order to replace himself in the life of the man.
NO! After creating man, God realized man would need someone to show him love. Yes God shows us love but not in the way that another person can.
God and man had a great relationship in the beginning, but yet I was God that said it is not good that the man should be alone, not the man.

Yessir but we walk right past Genesis and act like that’s not true because they replaced it with eviloution and science. Now the rugged individuality and women acting like men refusing wifedom and motherhood and stupid boys walking as men with no integrity or character or morals makes it very difficult to find companionship inside the home and marriage or in the community. I’ve been surrounded by shallow people my whole life and can talk to anyone but real friendships almost don’t exist because everyone wants something from the other instead of being there for everyone to be there best selves which requires tough conversations and truth as well as encouragement and inspiration without judgement. Seems something that has been eradicated from families and culture of the consumer and self. Much love brothers and sisters. I pray God restores us because I’ve prayed every other prayer. The last days have always been tough throughout the Bible when we have no gratefulness. If you try to stay on the peak of the mountain to long there is no where to go but down for a while. It’s the journey not the destination. The will of God is very different from the will of self. The Lord is my only peace in this suffering.

We are isolated by unloving people, being driven and separated from others.
I have attended a number of "churches" only to experience the same thing again and again.
I try to have a conversation with someone only to have them stop in the middle of saying something and turn and have a conversation with someone else as though they were never talking to me to begin with.
This is what isolates a person from others. Not the choice to be alone.
I also feel like we're in a time where people don't know how to socialize as well. I have not really had a group of friends in a very very very long time. Everything is social media instead of face to face or actually hearing a person's voice over the phone.
Yes yes you are correct because I have experienced this very same attitude from people at church. I am single and lonely , all family members have turn their backs on me. I have help them all the best way I can, I look after our mother for years duing her illness. I and God alone buried her, I paid for all the funerals expenses and not one family member every say one word .
They are all working but never contribute a penny towards her care. The long and short of it, they gather themselves against me without a cause apart from been envy and jealous. I am still astonished by the manner in which they behaved.
With that been said I remember in the late 80s to late 90s I always have a vision that whenever I visited home, I can see all bothers and sisters including my mom gather against me. They stop me from coming in to the house. I ended up seeking refuge in my neighbor's house. It's a dream I have maybe once or twice per year for years and it finally come to pass.

I can relate to you. In my case, it's my parents who gave me this treatment and I grew up socially awkward. I worked very hard to be normal and failed many times. It's rare to have a normal conversation with them. Praise The Lord Jesus Christ that he saved me!

this is something that no preacher can help with,even the bible itself is silent on the subject, for whatever reason some people have to face life truly alone,surrounded by family, "friends" and "spouses" that on their best day can't even pretend to care. Like cancer ,loneliness choses who it will destroy ,there is no cure and after decades of begging God to change it,you realize that the correct prayer is simply for the strength to see it through ,only then can you realize that you can do just fine without anyone's help or sympathy, when only God cares about you ,that's great because only God matters

Hey ive felt similar feelings recently, and i havent had many people in my life and am single, never been married. And still in the back of my mind I feel like i wont be lonely if im married, but i know that isnt true, but that God alone is the one who satisfies us.
Here is something that stood out to me; many people will half-heartedly ask "What is the meaning of Life?" and no one will ever give a solid answer. However Jesus did define the meaning of life in John 17:23"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."

Wow reading the comments saddens me but I feel guilty because they also make me feel better (less alone). It's like I'm not the only one going through this. There are actually others like me that feel the deep seeded struggles of loneliness and why there seem to be a disconnect. I know God is healing scars and trust issues that creates the loneliness in my life. But most of all I thank God for being patient with me while I learn to let go and trust him. I thank God for loving me and showing me that he will truly never leave me.

I can so relate to this so much. I have been divorced a long time. It was abusive. I shut my self off to keep from getting hurt. Now that I’m older I realize that my fear has robbed me of many years of happiness. Sometimes you can be in a room of people, even people you know and still feel so alone.

This message has brought such a huge light into my life! Borderline personality disorder is a horrible mental disease that makes me feel lonely and empty all the time but keeping in mind that Jesus is there for me all the time, makes me feel loved and understood.
I've reached out and asked for prayer to other believers and was judged and ripped apart. It made things worse. Now I'm discouraged. I'm grateful and thankful that Jesus loves me. But I'm still broken. I feel like I'm kicked to the curb and piece of trash. I can't handle it anymore. I cry.

Personally I never feel lonely; Jesus is always in the room with me.
Been socially isolated for my entire life. Never had a friend. My family has been there for me, but they're quiet and to themselves, so we barely talk. No close any family outside of my immediate family either. I have social anxiety as well. I've prayed about it for 12-15 years and nothing has changed. I've put myself out there on numerous occasions and still nothing changes. I'm going to be honest that makes me a little bitter. Its like I was born to be this way. It gets in the way of me believing in Jesus. Like I believe, but I don't. If I was to live a Christian lifestyle that would isolate me even more than I already am. I know because I have tried. I even joined church groups, but it always ends up the same. So, I always slip back towards the world because the numbers are better. But, I have no luck there either. I know maybe I've made it an idol, but it just hurts so much to be this way. I've tried being optimistic before, where I'm like "I'm only going to focus on God" and maybe he'll send someone my way, but after a year of hurting and no one coming into the picture, it gets hard to keep telling yourself that when you're a depressive wreck.

I know what you are feeling, I am disabled due to a vaccine, I had hardly any friends growing up. It was due to many events like abuse, etc while growing up that seemed to socaily stunt me. I drank and went to bars because I had to be buzzed to relate to people, always had a friend to drink with. Then married and alcoholic, divorced after 12 years. I stopped drinking when I realized that time to grow up was now. I have a husband now who loves me and it is mutual. Still loneliness is a lurking shadow. There is a place that we can create a chat for all of us. Anyone interested? I will check this comment line in a couple days to see if anyone is and I will create a chat on Chatzy. It will be a Christian chat if not a problem. There is no place for us otherwise . My favorite subject is God, but it is the world's worst idea of conversation.

I've been alone for about 20 years, no joke, I've learned to accept it and live with it, I've noticed that I have changed, I'm more self aware when it comes to my safety, my mind knows how to get me out of uncomfortable situations, I can shut down my heart and turn cold emotionally if need be to not feel or get hurt myself. There's been a few times when a girl wants to talk to me but its like my whole body knows it and stops it, its almost like a shield of protection and it sort of makes me feel good. Being disconnected I see more clearly the true intentions of people that others don't. I've accepted the fact that I will die alone and I don't fear it anymore, though something still makes me feel hurt and sad sometimes because I'm alone.

I have a father who conspires against me & led me to estrangement. I been the wall building ostracized workaholic whose working on bringing it down & rebuilding my health & life from scratch later in life basically. It gets really hard being alone for years with no support system. Found recently a church i feel aligned with belief wise, so shall see if I can connect with like minded believers

I'm a 21-year-old student working full time and I have been socially alone for the past 3 years because of walls I've built to cover insecurities, but God has carried me when mentally I've felt the lowest even if others couldn't see it or find a reason. Some might call it depression or anxiety but I think its my own doing. This message Dr. Stanley and the word of God is more effective to me than what this culture of therapy/over-diagnosis fail to do. "If I'm connected to our Lord, I can connect to other people. If I'm not, I'm gonna be so self-conscious about what I need what I want..that i'll never have any joy in life...Many people have everything but joy happiness and a sense of fulfillment." Very true, no escapism will ever fill the love of God.
I'm a shell of the person I was before, and it makes me come across as aloof and arrogant when really I'm too shy to initiate any friendships. I have ostracized my own self but I want to change, I just feel like I'm stuck.
The abuse I suffered as a kid made me a total loner and dislike and not trust people. I had a really hard time in trusting the lord but you know what...He was there with me every step of the way when I was being abused and sheltered me and It made me a more gentle ,understanding person which one day I made that realization after accepting the lord into my heart. What I am saying is...out of something bad came something good. His mercy and LOVE IS REAL. I pray every day for strength thru him and to help others in need. Thank You god for your LOVE AND MERCY. I do feel "ostracized" Like people and I just don't agree. Like it's what they want like I'm forced to follow their lead and nothing else, I have no say. So I feel rejected. Considering how I am treated by people is how many friends I have, none. I mean being a Christian is hard to do the right thing & not stand out of a group of people who aren't Godly. And friends at church are only church people, they are not actual friends, they talk if you attend, if you don't it's like you were never there. It sucks. But that's how it is. So for me, I just don't trust and I always expect something else so I'm not surprised.

our Lord God loves us and He sends His children who have that unconditional live into your life. He uses us to love and He sends thise who will be the ones chosen by Him into your life. Seek Him and serve Him and you will see His love, mercy and comfort.
A great way to meet like minded people is to volunteer for some cause that interests you.

It is actually very sad how much loneliness there is. It's all around us, almost in everyone.
But gosh there are people who just have it beaming off of them. I think it's easy to find people but, the right people are so muh more difficult. There is a majore difference between those. Sometimes I see people and they are just stuck, being married to the wrong person or they keep finding the wrong people. There's almost no cure for that.
But the only place I feel wanted or truly cared for in God, it's important to be in constant prayer, sometimes, that will take the loneliness out. Without Jesus/God you have nothing. Everything else is replaceable. But being with God is all you need in life, he provides, he finds us the right people, he gives us strength, and he gives us peace, and he guides us.
Hey you mentioned constant in prayer ..can you share why you feel that was it something you've expierenced yourself ?
Let me rephrase what I was asking is being in constant prayer something that you have had actually help you ? I'm quite curious because I've noticed that life is very messed up and daily I wonder why I'm here like millions

I am going through a difficult season right now. I do feel alone even though I have a full house and am married. I am trusting the Lord to make a way where there seems to be no way.
I am alone...go to church but when I am going through a hard time I never hear back from anyone at my church...been on my own since I was 14 years old...still am after my marriage failed.

I only ever wanted to be with one person. During the course of that relationship, I burned every bridge I’d ever built-willingly and happily even. I meant for all my time and existence to be for “my one”. For many years I loved in blind bliss just like this.
When that relationship could not be so any longer, I found myself in the depths of loneliness. It has been many years since, but I still desire no one but that “one” even more than God many days and I have to deal with that as it comes up. But since then, ive never found any relationship of any type worth while. Which is sad because I know the Lord loves people.. I wish I could too.
That person is an idol in your life if you love them more than God.
I love you enough to tell you the truth.
I also understand the pain you feel, having been in a similar situation.
All I can say to us, is imagine doing what we did for mere mortals for God?

I agree. I felt he was putting it on us lonely hearts. He described it perfectly, but when people shut you out, usually for not being like them(is my opinion) then I'm not sure if he is saying go around them anyway? I don't like to be around people when I don't feel loved or liked by them. So I'm not sure what the answer is.
It’s been almost 3 months since I’ve felt broken and more lonely than I ever have before, my fiancé left me and I’ve been praying and asking god to help her turn away from temporary fun and go back to him and reunite us, lord please hear my cry in Jesus name, amen.
i have done alot of things iam ashamed of , while i was watching this he tackled on everything iam going through especially on my morals. i feel disgusted with myself. i have always felt different and out of place. people making fun of me so i built up a wall. OMG! This is exactly how I’m feeling. None of my relationships bring me a feeling of belonging or satisfaction or many of the other qualities he mentioned like motivated or complete. I’ve been used to it so long but in recovery I’ve learned that it’s why I turn to alcohol.
Please pray for me. I lost my husband last year in December. I’m so lonely can’t seem to leave my house it is my sanctuary!

God may forgive me, but I really cannot understand how can He be sufficient for us yet desires for us to rely upon others at times.
Loneliness is the most sad existence. There is no worse feeling. If you are lonely than you know this to be true. I know this personally.
My precious grandmother told me several times that you should not be lonely if you have God and Jesus in your heart
Yes, having God and Jesus in our hearts is most important but He also created us in a way that we would need good relationship's with each other.
I am so thankful I trust The Lord because I am having a hard time trusting anyone else. I try to make friends but very few people seem to trust me.
