As a believer in Christ I too struggle with loneliness. I have been single for several years and it can be frustrating. I can only cry to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Prayers for all those who are struggling. 🙏
I'm 36 now, feels like i wasted my years with grudges and social rejection because of the grudges (i closed my self). I always have this feeling that it is too late, and when i don't have the feeling i just waste my time. I got some grey hairs, that was my wake up call. Now i want a wife and 4 kids fast and be done with it, so that when i'm 55 i have 4 working kids to talk to who can give me comfort and support. The most important thing is meaningful social relationship with family so i need to make a family. I'm just scared of death at the end, it's like everything is wiped out. I think about how many people (and animals), 110 billions, have laughed and cried before us and they are all gone now and their memories are wiped out, this makes me sad, that in the end everything will be wiped out, it is disturbing my motivation to make family and makes me feel lonely. I beleive in god as a support teddy bear against loneliness and memory deletion, that at least god remembers, but I had a depression so i felt that if god remembers he is keeping it to himself, like a lonely parent who sees all his children die and sit lonely with only the memories for himself, this is also depressing. In summary, both good and bad life will be deleted at the end, we can only choose to dull this idea away from our awareness with as much social happiness as possible while we live. I'm very grateful for my mother and siblings, they are my gods now, they remember everything we did together. My grudgy father made everyone around him grudgy, he is dead now. I hope Aubrey de Grey and david Sinclair or some genius Chinese comes up with life extension medicine, it will a great motivation booster.

Another cure for loneliness. Ask God to lead you to someone (maybe elderly) who's lonely and spend time with them bringing sunshine into their day. Doing something for someone else will bring great joy and takes focus of off ourselves.

That is such great advice. Theres nothing that makes one feel better than giving to those who are in need. We reap what we sow - so if we want love - we should give it always. I’m approaching 40. Never been married, never had kids. I’ve seen literally all my friends get married and have families and buy homes and go on vacations. I love Jesus with all my heart. I’ve been praying for years for a husband and family. But I stopped praying I’ve just completely given up. Do you ever take the initiative to be a friend to someone in the church?? My personal experience is that I am a friend to people that aren't necessarily my friend. However I no longer get annoyed by it. I just see myself doing what GOD call me to do. When I am on youtube I text like I am doing now to communicate with like minded people.

God is going to send someone to be your friend at church if you are at the right church that believes that we are saved by faith and not by our good actions. I needed this today. I have lived with chronic illness, pain, and suffering for years and it is the most lonely experience in the world. I've been up all night long feeling crippled with loneliness. I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

Amen. This is so true. Especially for young people. I'm in my late 20s and I've struggled with this, and even serving in the Church can make one feel lonely But I have been learning that when people create opportunities that foster belonging, it lends room to getting in those moments. I agree. Texting is not the same. Calling or meeting in person with someone is way better. I'm 53 years old, divorced and a father of four. I'm empty, im drained. I wish I could open my heart and let Jesus in. I try, but I fail. I have so much love to give. I'm so alone and empty. Rejection, neglect, abuse by family and a number of bad choices have left me lonely. I struggle to see and experience God for who He really is. I never married and have no children. Please pray for me.

Ask the lord for direction. He knows what you need. You need to respect his way and will when you receive it. When you do respect it as you would want to receive it. Have faith in who the lord is. He will open the doors. Believe in him and learn how he looks at things. It's his message on the cross. He clears out past and directs our future if we believe in him.

I don't know why we get so lonely. Its becuz we don't have friends or family who wants us to be close. I have 7 sisters and felt left out most of my life. I understand loneliness. my husband of 33 1/2 years passed away in 2018 and I quit eating. I didn't think I could live without him as we were so close.I got very ill but I had to fight my way back for my family and then I got saved by the Grace of God . I still have feelings of loneliness and missing my husband. but I put on a good sermon or some good gospel music and my spirits are lifted again by the Grace of God. God speaks to us in different ways and sends us joy in different ways but he never fails to lift us up. Praise the Lord with all your heart. Amen

I’m a wife, daughter, mother and sister and still very lonely. I try reaching out to people and staying encouraged but it doesn’t always work. Your right being around all the people in the world I still find myself lonely. So instead of looking for human friends and connections I would choose to be around all of the beautiful precious animals that God has created. I'd open an animal sanctuary and I'd never be lonely again. ❤️ Animals are nicer than humans these days. Seems like if people can't get something from you then you are out no value.
I'm sorry there are times when God himself lays this burden on you for a time and there is nothing you can do about. If you read the Psalms David was connected to God and still suffered loneliness, Moses lived alone in the desert for FORTY YEARS and he was connected to God. Job suffered intense loneliness and God said there was no one more loyal to God on the face of the earth. God lays that on you to accomplish something in your life. It is when he accomplishes his purpose in your life he lifts this burden from you. No, J C is correct. David was chosen because he was ostracized by his family as the youngest. The father didn't even call David to see if the blessing fell upon him but kept him with the sheep. In David's loneliness he shed many tears while worshipping God with the sheep, God listened to those songs and loved his choice to devote his lonely hours to Him. "David... A man after my own heart" one of the only characters in the Bible given that description by God.

All I have in this world is the hope and love of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. I talk with Him and He talks with me and it is enough. I trust Him and obey Him as much as I can. Thats all I can do. At 72, theres not much hope of finding another who loves me. I get it, but it's really tough because God is love and we all need to be loved. Things happen for reasons even if we don't understand. Lean not on your own understanding. Oh Lord, why would you be mindful of me? Thank you dear Lord Jesus.
I just wanted to tell you that you're not too old to find love again. My 84-year-old father-in-law lost his wife and he moved into a 55 over community and now he's engaged. There is a woman out there who would love you as a companion, friend and lover.
I'm an empty nester and divorcee. Had to to protect my children. Although time alone can be a challenge I will say when you are in a consistent personal relationship with God the Father through faith in Jesus and in a relationship with Jesus you are not alone. You will never be alone again. Dr Stanley has great sermons on deepening your personal relationship with God. Its not about being perfect. Its about time. Quality time. You are loved.

🏖 there's a huge difference from being "alone", and "lonely". I live alone (and love it)! I am not lonely!. Unless you are incapacitated, I sincerely understand - but there's so much "out there", that you can do for interaction with other people (and maybe meet someone if that's what you want)? ! My parents always said "if you're bored or lonely, get up and go help someone"!! Volunteer, go to festivals, help a neighbor ANYTHING to get your mind off of your/our own circumstances!. Friends/mates will come and go, but the Lord is with us always🙏. Don't ever let someone else be your light🌸

WOW, this video is a message from God Himself. I was just crying and praying about feeling alone, meaningless, anxious, fearful and analyzing why I want to be alone -- googling whether it's wrong for a young Christian to live this way isolated. And then this video was posted. I feel like God is the only person in my life who I can truly confide in and I need to surrender to the Holy Spirit to be delivered. I instantly felt better, and more motivated for life even after praying.
This is who I recently became and I wasn’t even aware it was happening… Relocation into an entirely different environment… Feel the loss of friends, familiar church and familiar everything. As a believer in Christ I too struggle with loneliness. I have been single for several years and it can be frustrating. I can only cry to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Prayers for all those who are struggling. 🙏
I'm 36 now, feels like i wasted my years with grudges and social rejection because of the grudges (i closed my self). I always have this feeling that it is too late, and when i don't have the feeling i just waste my time. I got some grey hairs, that was my wake up call. Now i want a wife and 4 kids fast and be done with it, so that when i'm 55 i have 4 working kids to talk to who can give me comfort and support.
The most important thing is meaningful social relationship with family so i need to make a family. I'm just scared of death at the end, it's like everything is wiped out. I think about how many people (and animals), 110 billions, have laughed and cried before us and they are all gone now and their memories are wiped out, this makes me sad, that in the end everything will be wiped out, it is disturbing my motivation to make family and makes me feel lonely.
I beleive in god as a support teddy bear against loneliness and memory deletion, that at least god remembers, but I had a depression so i felt that if god remembers he is keeping it to himself, like a lonely parent who sees all his children die and sit lonely with only the memories for himself, this is also depressing. In summary, both good and bad life will be deleted at the end, we can only choose to dull this idea away from our awareness with as much social happiness as possible while we live.
I'm very grateful for my mother and siblings, they are my gods now, they remember everything we did together. My grudgy father made everyone around him grudgy, he is dead now.

Another cure for loneliness. Ask God to lead you to someone (maybe elderly) who's lonely and spend time with them

When was Jesus ever really alone? In the Desert for 40 days but he was with his father, the Devil and Angels. He always had Crowds around him. Sometimes 100's. Even when the Disciples Betrayed him, he was Surrounded by a Crowd. When He hung on the Cross his Friends and Mother and Mary and his Disciples were at His Feet. So l don't understand?

I’m approaching 40. Never been married, never had kids. I’ve seen literally all my friends get married and have families and buy homes and go on vacations. I love Jesus with all my heart. I’ve been praying for years for a husband and family. But I stopped praying I’ve just completely given up. I’m always surrounded by women and families and believe it or not but it makes me feel worse. I know I’ll be a Bride in Heaven. My home is with Jesus in the Heavens. So exhausted from the heart break and disappointments. I’m ready to go home.

Do you ever take the initiative to be a friend to someone in the church?? My personal experience is that I am a friend to people that aren't necessarily my friend. However I no longer get annoyed by it. I just see myself doing what GOD call me to do. When I am on youtube I text like I am doing now to communicate with like minded people.

I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

Amen. This is so true. Especially for young people. I'm in my late 20s and I've struggled with this, and even serving in the Church can make one feel lonely But I have been learning that when people create opportunities that foster belonging, it lends room to getting in those moments. I agree. Texting is not the same. Calling or meeting in person with someone is way better. We all go through loneliness, but we need God in those seasons and to pray for our connections, for people to get around. For Jesus to bring us Joy

Rejection, neglect, abuse by family and a number of bad choices have left me lonely. I struggle to see and experience God for who He really is. I never married and have no children. Please pray for me.

I understand loneliness. my husband of 33 1/2 years passed away in 2018 and I quit eating. I didn't think I could live without him as we were so close.I got very ill but I had to fight my way back for my family and then I got saved by the Grace of God . I still have feelings of loneliness and missing my husband. but I put on a good sermon or some good gospel music and my spirits are lifted again by the Grace of God. God speaks to us in different ways and sends us joy in different ways but he never fails to lift us up. Praise the Lord with all your heart. Amen

I’m a wife, daughter, mother and sister and still very lonely. I try reaching out to people and staying encouraged but it doesn’t always work.
My husband is way in the Middle East and I feel like he doesn’t even miss me, he can adapt well to any situation and I envy that about him. Because I’m the opposite.
I’m desperately looking for work which isn’t making life any better and Just seems to add more worry and stress.

I'm sorry there are times when God himself lays this burden on you for a time and there is nothing you can do about. If you read the Psalms David was connected to God and still suffered loneliness, Moses lived alone in the desert for FORTY YEARS and he was connected to God. Job suffered intense loneliness and God said there was no one more loyal to God on the face of the earth. God lays that on you to accomplish something in your life. It is when he accomplishes his purpose in your life he lifts this burden from you. Dr. Stanley I've listen to you for almost 20 years and think the world of you and want to thank you for the wonderful influence you have been in my life.

No, J C is correct. David was chosen because he was ostracized by his family as the youngest. The father didn't even call David to see if the blessing fell upon him but kept him with the sheep. In David's loneliness he shed many tears while worshipping God with the sheep, God listened to those songs and loved his choice to devote his lonely hours to Him. "David... A man after my own heart" one of the only characters in the Bible given that description by God.
I loved this message. As a single Christian, I felt loneliness coming from my family who not all of them are in Christ and for the luck of Christian friends. I love Dr. Stanley tone of voice and the way he explains things it felt like a one on one conversation.

My beautiful wife of 36 years died from brain cancer in 3 weeks since we found out. So sudden and unexpected that it rocked my world with loneliness. All I have in this world is the hope and love of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. I talk with Him and He talks with me and it is enough. I trust Him and obey Him as much as I can. Thats all I can do. At 72, theres not much hope of finding another who loves me. I get it, but it's really tough because God is love and we all need to be loved. Things happen for reasons even if we don't understand. I just wanted to tell you that you're not too old to find love again. My 84-year-old father-in-law lost his wife and he moved into a 55 over community and now he's engaged. There is a woman out there who would love you as a companion, friend and lover.

🏖 there's a huge difference from being "alone", and "lonely". I live alone (and love it)! I am not lonely!. Unless you are incapacitated, I sincerely understand - but there's so much "out there", that you can do for interaction with other people (and maybe meet someone if that's what you want)? ! My parents always said "if you're bored or lonely, get up and go help someone"!! Volunteer, go to festivals, help a neighbor ANYTHING to get your mind off of your/our own circumstances!. Friends/mates will come and go, but the Lord is with us always🙏. Don't ever let someone else be your light🌸

WOW, this video is a message from God Himself. I was just crying and praying about feeling alone, meaningless, anxious, fearful and analyzing why I want to be alone -- googling whether it's wrong for a young Christian to live this way isolated. And then this video was posted. I feel like God is the only person in my life who I can truly confide in and I need to surrender to the Holy Spirit to be delivered. I instantly felt better, and more motivated for life even after praying.
This is who I recently became and I wasn’t even aware it was happening… Relocation into an entirely different environment… Feel the loss of friends, familiar church and familiar everything. Oh if you’re out there please pray for me and my emotional and mental physical health which has gone down the tubes this was not me before this.
