Hi this was the first tool my mam and dad got for me I think I was 10 back in 1967 had it a long time still have the handle great job thanks for the memories 🍺🍺🍺🍺👍👍👍👍👍👍👊
Wasn't sure about the white. You convinced me. Thanks for working that Jacob's chuck. That is always my favorite part and is often ignored, barely touched, and often simply replaced. I was sitting here saying, "Put it on the lathe, put it on the lathe." It goes on the lathe, and I was 'Yeah!'. #throwawaythethrowawayculture
Hey Will. PLEASE can you tell me how to get the Jacobs chuck of my black and decker drill!!! I'm sure it has been attached by THOR!!! He seems to be jamming the mechanism with a screwdriver?!?! Surely there's another way.
Nice restoration. What is the name of the small rivets that hold on the plate (24:46)? I destroyed one during a cleanup and don't even know what to look for. They must have a name?
@@mihamarinko2206 Hi mate, it will be very hard to find spares for it, easiest way would be to buy another one on ebay for few bucks and strip it or just use it. Unless this drill has some sentimental value to you.
thanks for the reply, Lot of people who do these videos can't be bothered to reply.....I have one of these drills brand new never been used , and still in the original packaging and in the Black and Decker box.
@@malcolmjames7388 it is from the times when tools was made to last. Unfortunately these days you can't even fix these cheap so called "tools". But we always can fix old good stuff! ;)
sorry but it would be useful if you tell us what model the drill is and what materials you are using . I have to move on to something more instructive for me.thanks anyway

Hi Jim, these rivets are called dome head ( or round head) knurled rivets. Thank you for watching!
And there they are!!!!! I've been trying to find these for months and didn't know what to search for! Thank you so much.

It might a good repair but the Coulor is totally wrong as it will be absolutely filthy at the end of the day in that Coulor 👎🏻
I do not really like this colour to but this is the original colour of this drill so this is why I choose it.
