Ask yourself is it a need or a want if it’s a want and you are living on a budget then let it go… We can live in so much of us, consume so much less and enrich our lives with experiences … not things!

Not 5 hour plane ride but
5 different plane rides!!!!!
24 hours….ugh!
My frugal tips: 1. Stay out of stores and unsubscribe from emails. Social Media, if you can handle it LOL, or at least, cut back. Stick to brands you love and release the rest. 2. Shop second hand- it pushes me to wait for those things. 99% of the time, I don't want it any who, it's not a need. 3. Make money silos in my accounts. I am getting divorced right now..I send my second job money to travel, experiences, etc, right now. I also add when I can. I made a deal, once my divorce is done, I am taking an epic trip 4. Travel, it will make you appreciate what you do have. Volunteer and it will change your heart and head. I still work FT, so I have to have some clothes, but I modified my work wardrobe quite a bit. Otherwise, I look like a beach bum LOL. I still spend on the things I love- good coffee (coffee is life), my pets have a good life, books (for my research and pleasure)and I foster kitties. I do not keep with anyone. I might not look the look, especially here in Texas, USA but I am so happy and love my life. I still have my 11 year old Jeep (I want to keep her going!) And too the haters...well..pick a finger! ;) You are beautiful!

And yes, 100% everything you mentioned here. I’ve already done a video on everything I did after my divorce when I had no job and no income and no support.
Do what makes you happy!
And for me, it certainly is not things anymore. It’s life experiences, it’s my family, it’s my friends, and it’s making memories with them. ❤️
I’m currently going through a divorce and am having to restart at the age of 53. I have an 8 year old son (yes, I started late and am very tired! 😂) and will have to downsize my home - I’m in the UK and modest houses here are tiny! However, watching yourself and other women in similar positions reminds me just how bloody capable we are as strong, independent women and I love spending money and buying stuff but am really trying to get out of the habit so that I can lead a simplified and content life. So watching videos like this and hearing you talk about life and experiences is resonating. Also, regarding the nose comment, that’s just jealousy because you are seriously kicking butt when it comes to living life.
You are full of so much wisdom.

So good! I’m going through separation with a likely divorce and my youngest going away to school. I’ve minimized and decluttered so much and all that materialistic stuff doesn’t matter anymore! I’m eager to travel more and see the world…I need to start with just seeing other parts of the US, but it’s definitely time for a change! ❤
