    Great game for Jlin again, especially in a back to back game. Good to see him making assists and excellent defense. Guess this is why he is rewarded with 21mins. I wont complain about his mins as long as it's reasonable. At least for this season, I would rather he plays 18 - 23mins every game, stays healthy and performs effectively.

    2:18 He should probably stop doing this considering how injury prone he is. This man drove directly to the basket, jumped on a 6'8 guard, made contact, did a 180 and landed hard on his lower back. All while still recovering from an injury that ended his last season. Ever since he blocked D Rose he lowkey started to play reckless like him. Those 2 suffer from Deku syndrome like that anime My Hero Academia. Always using too much power and hurting themselves in the process.

    I dont understand the word tanking. Whats the point to play games when you are not trying to win? I dont mean that they should go 120% every game but i dont agree this tanking for next season shit. Getting into playoff will definitely be more beneficial to the team to grow with the experience. Also basketball is about determination to win i am worried they would lose that will for having this tanking excuse.

    • @dirtymustard928
      @dirtymustard928 6 лет назад

      They couldnt get to the playoffs if they wanted. I suspect john collins can probably play but they're holding him back so the team can still play near full capacity but rack up more Ls. There's still a need to lose to a degree to ensure a good chance at a top pick, being the worst team is just not as guaranteed anymore. And i believe you can see that in the teams play because they certainly are trying to win with the line up LP rolls out, and i dont expect them to be the worst like everyone else does when the season is over
      You don't resign plumlee and make your biggest free agent signing Jeremy Lin coming off an injury if you plan to win. They need another good year of drafting (hopefully just 1 not 2) and some free agent signings before we can start talking playoffs

      @@lyhthegreat Weaker teams that don't have a real playoff shot spend the season tanking (intentionally losing) so that they can get a higher chance of securing a good draft pick
      ( a potential super star player).
      The NBA designed it's draft so that weaker teams have a higher chance of getting new, better players fresh from college and overseas (draft picks).This is how the 76ers got their current playoff contending team and Joel Embid fresh from college. They essentially lost a bunch of games for draft picks.
      The Hawks are using this season to tank for the prospect of getting Zion Williamson to play for the team next season. The obvious downside to this is that the team will lose a lot of games. However, the good thing about it for Jeremy Lin is that he gets a season to stat pad. He doesn't have to worry about the team winning the game as much and should just focus on getting points, assists, steals, blocks, etc.
      If you play video games you can think of it like farming. Jeremy Lin and all the other ATL Hawks are farming for individual stats, while losing the season.
      ( However, this is all based on the premise that the Hawks are losing intentionally. Alternatively, it's possible they have a crappy coach and are simply a bad team lol).
