If anyone is confused about why increased minion damage affects the build the same as increased fire damage, it's the Spiritual Aid notable on the left side of the passive tree.
This is pretty much just the most fun build I've ever played and also the tankiest. And the amount of help your website provides is straight up insane, every question so far that I've had was on there

Im very excited about it because it was my first campaign run ever so I had no idea what to expect past act 3. I’m lvl 80 and doing yellow maps atm because I’m trying to take my time with it. All best! Edit: I looted Hrimnor’s Resolve yesterday with +36% fire dmg so It will do for now.

Thank you Pohx for your awesome guide and videos, I've been quite enjoying my RF Jugg in SSF. For other SSF peeps, regarding getting Elder helmet base in SSF, remember that you can use harvest to reroll the influence. So you can do any influenced maps you get your hands on (also via Kirac), hopefully drop some influenced helmets from the boss and then reroll the influence of the helmet to Elder.
That's very expensive, you should be able to get a solid elder helm in 3 or 4 elder guardians tops. Used to be a nightmare before, now it's a formality. Don't bother with elder scarabs.
@@Tamiss what items drop from the guardians is totally up to RNG. of course, if one is lucky, go with luck. it's the best way for sure. if it happens that luck doesn't favor you, harvest offers new chances. and of course, also there, it's another luck game - simply one that is using different resources.

Thank you for this video... I had a dawnbreaker drop with great rolls ... but I already had a near perfect Saffell's and couldn't tell which was better to use... (It seems to depend on who I am fighting if the spell block or extra armor feels better.. but otherwise these seem close... but resistances are easier to get on saffell's). This also helped a lot for my scepter early on I had a scepter drop with increased fire, increased burn, fire dmg over time multi, and +1 fire spell skill gems... I didn't think I would be able to find or craft anything better... obviously I was really really wrong. FT and RF each are around 300K in hideout... my POB says 625K for each and 2mil total (I don't know why my POB is so diff from the game... maybe unyielding and skitterbots and -18% exposure) I need to find or craft a new weapon! :-D
This is the best Buildguide ive ever seen. RF was my very very first build in 2014 when i started playing the game. This DMG this tankytankiness. I found it kind of ultra boring because only running around and shit was uncool. But now .... man i even bought the RF Skin xD thanks for your good work dude. hey pohx, i found out something funny playing RF. i saw thunderfist gloves and was thinking "wow lvl30 add lightning must be a lot of dmg" and yes, it is! i put my fire trap in it, and at lvl70 or something, it doubled my dmg. another funny thing is the consuming dark dagger. i was having some trouble with my weapon and dropped one of those. decided to try just for shits and giggles (marauder mage with dagger lmao) and turns out +1 lvl and +60% fire dmg + conversion to chaos to ignore resists is low key great. if possible, i would add those as leveling uniques on your PoB because they're great!!! have a nice day :)
First of all congratz for an actual starter build, haven't really stopped at any point after 1st lab, it's been just some great RF face tanking all the way! But regarding the skitterbot > malevolence swap charisma would help, but it isn't really mandatory. I've already did the swap just by using one MRE jewel and supporting most skills with lifetap.
somebody missed talking about the his sceptre....should do what Palstron does, unequip each piece and put it in your inventory, equip each piece after your done talking about it. that way, you never miss anything. :)

I’m sitting around 757k RF in hideout and that’s with only 16 burn and 20 conc on my elder helmet… I’ve spent so many Divines and chaos on Horror Essences I want to cry 😢 if only I was on PC I could just buy the it…. Great stuff Pohx love the build guides and website.
The helmet is making me mad too. Horrors are 1 div per on console. I’m lvl 90 running into armor/regen issues sometimes now. I still have a tabula tho. Need helmet, shield, body, amulet
About the Helmet. Before I go with Essences of Horror I try to craft or buy a Conc, Burning Damage and Less Duration Helmet. You are losing 11% Damage but it is way cheaper and easier to get than a Horror rolled Helmet. You can get 3 Stats non Horror Helmet for as low as 10c, wich you can Vaal Orb to get an additional +2 to RF, +3 if it had an open Suffix, wich compensates the 11% Damage loss from the Essence of Horror.
I managed to get my hands on asenaths, could I just pop these on, grab avatar of fire, the 40% conv mastery and zoom maps? I know swapping to real gloves for pinnacle fights is mandatory though. Has anything since your explosion RF guide 2+ months ago changed?
Got a ghetto version of this running in Ruthless. Up to T12 maps and killing bosses. Would be higher probably if I could get the maps so hard to tell how far this can be pushed there.

Quick question for the endgame progression, I'm currently sitting at around 400k hideout DPS on RF (no endurance charge boost or anything other than auras), currently with all offensive gems being 20/20 (21/20 for fire trap and righteous fire) What would be the priority list / order for getting the Awakened gems that would give the biggest DPS boost? I see in the POB that there are a few Awakened gems in the endgame build, just wanted to make sure which one would be ideal to get first (these gems are priiiicy)

Question: Immortal Flesh Belt -> we get 40% inc. Armor if not shocked/ignite/frozen. How do we get immune to this? I am currently using Purity of Elements but not sure about that.

But I encounter a small problem, for the amulet you recommend a fractured %fire damage and screaming essence of anger which adds a %fire damage too. Obviously it can't work 😅 I managed to craft it anyway but I thought I'd let you know, you might want to put a little warning for avoid this situation. So I have been updating it a bit recently and I have multiple options for fractures & essences. I natually assume people wouldn't try to stack the same modifier but you're right I can try to put that info somewhere. I'm just not sure where because putting it on every piece that contains fractures just seems a bit too much
So a quick question looking into the rings, there's a ring Called the Stormfire, which grants up to 120% increased burning damage towards recently shocked enemies. what would your thoughts be for this? dropping chaos resist isn't something that should be done, especially losing the stat once switched over to the brass dome. But just a thought for damage with the use of tempest shield and skitter bots, which shock.
it can work for mapping with tempest shield but I would prefer just having a normal ring for res. You can try to delirium craft for dot multi but it's super expensive
This is my third league going rf and after not palying for the last 2 leagues. It sure feels good to be this tanky. Though getting those kind of gloves sure has been a pain for me T_T
Great video. Maybe I missed it somewhere but if I cap my resistances (fire at like 88%, cold/lightning at 86%) can I drop purity of elements? Or do I need way more than that.
Very nice video. How about : Bone Helmet ( for implicit modifiers "Minions deal x% increased damage" ) and Apothecary Gloves ( for implicit "X% increased damage over time" ) ?
You can get a bone helmet however it's less armour And for the gloves, it's pretty much useless since you want eldritch implicit modifiers which remove the one from apothecary gloves
What about getting forbidden flesh and flame with unstoppable so you have to respec? I got both for extremely cheap and thought it would be a good idea.
@@PohxKappa theres 2 versions of brass dome i just realized, lol. seems like the one without the max resists would be better since its much higher armour? since you arent sacrificing life, although i guess you do sacrifice spell block. hard to say
Hi Pohx, quick question. I've been following your guide for RF jugg for 3.20 and it's been amazing. I have an issue with socketing. You mentioned on POB that I should put fire gems in the scepter, which gems exactly? On the same POB the weapon 1 has Vitality, Arrogance and Molten Shell. Is that correct or I should put other gems on that?

Like he's the best at bossing,general mapping, doing strongbox etc...cuz i Need to spend Atlas point but idk on what to focus...last time i played i did strongbox farming with mage skeleton and It was pretty good so my whole Atlas point went into that
Ok so im using a 1.6k rare armour got 6 endurance charges up using tempest shield have 64k armour with flasks up fire res 85 other res 83.....and anything t 12 and up still destroys me... does this build only shine tankywise once you get brass dome? Cuz im feeling squish....

Question about the minion damage nodes, I know this is for the Jugg boi, but is that also something we want to invest in as Inquis? It's not in the PoB so I'm assuming the answer's no, but I figure I'd ask anyways
The answer‘s no! Pohx summed it up along the lines „as an Inquisitor you seek defence, as a jugg you seek offence“. Since jugg has not much choice for damage nodes, the minion ones are pretty nice. Of course you CAN put points into minion damage as an Inquisitor too, just make sure to take the Spiritual Aid node. It’s only not advisable if I understood correctly
Does anyone know how to replicate the celestial explosion effect with his Oriath flask? I have same righteous fire cosmetic and just saved up to buy the flask, and poppy explosions are super nice, but mine is still mainly flame and not the celesital look his has, which looks verrrrry nice
Increased ele damage. Because penetration only works for hits, not DoT. So for Fire Trap, it would only be the hit part of the damage, not the DoT (which is the more significant part for this build). You can also quite easily test this out in PoB.
You’ve probably talked about this b4 but you got so many videos and it doesn’t appear under flask section of your faq site so: why granite and not basalt? 20% seems good too?
Am i the only one who found a Tabula Rasa and used it from early game and i'm up to act 9 so far with no issues. rigged it with the rf and support gems. I suppose some time soon i'll have to armor up... but for now, jugging right along.
i've made it to the first few levels of maps and i'm level 80, now I'm noticing issues. Pretty much a glass cannon at this point. Two things i seem to have problems with are bleeding and impalement. poison occasionally too. but... i'm thinking about trucking on with this as i've now found some wool gloves that add 100% spell damage and not much else :)
cuz it gets overwritten and surpassed by the eldritch implicit. damage over time is inferior to damage over time multi, because there is less of it in existence.
can you do a video using really cheap itens please i follow your pob but have only belt / boots / shield, the other itens are so expensive to me hahaaha help me
check out poe ninja for what people are doing if you want to push past my PoB. The end game of my PoB should be able to tacke some of the ubers (but slowly)
I understand it could of been more newer player friendly but it would of just taken so much more time to have images/items put aside for a short one take video like this. I do however have lots of entry level crafting guides for newer players
Played for years and I always thought you needed around 6k life for a build to even start to be tanky. Was really funny being at 4.5k life and for heaps of t16 bosses just standing in front of them and spamming my firetrap.
GAh! i dont get it, i have same tree and gear as in pob, and i even have a slightly better sceptre, and my tooltip damage is 241k but yours is 700k O.o
@@PohxKappa i got the +1 amu and exposure gloves, burning/conc helm, very good sceptre and +1 socketed aoe gems and so on, but still under 300k tooltip damage, same tree and so on, im not very good at this game, so i have missed something for sure, but what 🤯 have the awakened gems, but only lv 1 so far
First! May be a stupid question, but would it be a good choice to add corrupting fever to the build and use a poet's pen to put the curse and wave of conviction? Would limiting myself to only DoT and DoT multi instead of fire / physical even be feasible?
even applying it with something consistent like storm brand is probably too cute to actually be worth it. absolutely NOT worth it to drop your relevant RF weapon for a poets pen.
Never been a fan of tempest shield, I just stick to shock flask + pantheon in general. Allows me to be more flexible on the rest. And about res, saffells etc, I like dropping immo flesh when I can get a double life elder/hunter belt
So much investment in so low dps, RF looks cool but it needs serious buff, one good thing about this build is that its tanky, dont know when will GGG come to sense to buff it so it can compete with other average skill gems, because its dps is below average.

It does not do anything i try to refund it and my stats its still the same. Ive summon a golem still the same with that passive spiritual aid
It does if you do have the minion node on the left hand side of the tree. It makes minion damage apply to you as well as minions.
@Omyr Rome Fontelar it may not show properly on pb or tooltips. Do an actual dps test on some mobs and you should.see the difference

Charisma isn't needed for the malevolence swap, it's needed to bring Skitterbots back on WITH malevolence
Playing SSF at lvl 95 at the moment. Just killed the searing exarch and got myself a Dawnbreaker. Perfect. 😎 Also using immortal flesh and pyre ring.
i just reach t15 with very careful kiting in maps which takes like 10 minutes, so this is very helpful

Between 7-link helmet and corrupted 2+ to gems brass dome - where would you put rf and where firetrap? And why?

purity of elements also provided elemental ailment immunity. Keep it till you can make the swap till tempest shield or tempest + skitter

for pure endgame do you reccomend a 6 link rare chest or brass dome? not alot of definitive info out there on which is better. cheers.
i'm not sure there is a better, both are extremely good. I'd say brass dome is probably better for most users since you don't have to craft it
@@PohxKappa theres 2 versions of brass dome i just realized, lol. seems like the one without the max resists would be better since its much higher armour? since you arent sacrificing life, although i guess you do sacrifice spell block. hard to say

Hi Pohx, quick question. I've been following your guide for RF jugg for 3.20 and it's been amazing. I have an issue with socketing. You mentioned on POB that I should put fire gems in the scepter, which gems exactly? On the same POB the weapon 1 has Vitality, Arrogance and Molten Shell. Is that correct or I should put other gems on that?
I think thats about the scepter craft with fire gems. Doesnt matter where the gems are located on the gear

Like he's the best at bossing,general mapping, doing strongbox etc...cuz i Need to spend Atlas point but idk on what to focus...last time i played i did strongbox farming with mage skeleton and It was pretty good so my whole Atlas point went into that
Ok so im using a 1.6k rare armour got 6 endurance charges up using tempest shield have 64k armour with flasks up fire res 85 other res 83.....and anything t 12 and up still destroys me... does this build only shine tankywise once you get brass dome? Cuz im feeling squish....

Currently there’s only the MTX exclusive to the Legacy of Fury that was available in the previous Kirac’s Pass. So you’re in tough luck if you didn’t buy it then

Question about the minion damage nodes, I know this is for the Jugg boi, but is that also something we want to invest in as Inquis? It's not in the PoB so I'm assuming the answer's no, but I figure I'd ask anyways
If you have trouble farming currency at start, it's cheaper to invest into minion node on left side of the tree and respec later
The answer‘s no! Pohx summed it up along the lines „as an Inquisitor you seek defence, as a jugg you seek offence“. Since jugg has not much choice for damage nodes, the minion ones are pretty nice. Of course you CAN put points into minion damage as an Inquisitor too, just make sure to take the Spiritual Aid node. It’s only not advisable if I understood correctly
Does anyone know how to replicate the celestial explosion effect with his Oriath flask? I have same righteous fire cosmetic and just saved up to buy the flask, and poppy explosions are super nice, but mine is still mainly flame and not the celesital look his has, which looks verrrrry nice

Increased ele damage. Because penetration only works for hits, not DoT. So for Fire Trap, it would only be the hit part of the damage, not the DoT (which is the more significant part for this build).
You can also quite easily test this out in PoB.
You’ve probably talked about this b4 but you got so many videos and it doesn’t appear under flask section of your faq site so: why granite and not basalt? 20% seems good too?
Probably can’t but could you run both?
granite is easier on the charges. Granite + Basalt is good but I prefer using other utility flasks.

aegis requires some legit energy shield, jugg doesn't give a shit about ES since he scales armor so hard for his ascendancy to do wonders

Lab or trade.
Am i the only one who found a Tabula Rasa and used it from early game and i'm up to act 9 so far with no issues. rigged it with the rf and support gems. I suppose some time soon i'll have to armor up... but for now, jugging right along.
Oh yea dude, RF Leveling is some of the smoothest I've ever seen.
I did hate using rolling magma though, definitely not gonna use that one again.
I’m in tier 9 maps with a chest piece that gives 45 life and 20 life regen, you’ll be fine :)
I found 2 of them and used it until t12 maps.. LOL
i've made it to the first few levels of maps and i'm level 80, now I'm noticing issues. Pretty much a glass cannon at this point. Two things i seem to have problems with are bleeding and impalement. poison occasionally too. but... i'm thinking about trucking on with this as i've now found some wool gloves that add 100% spell damage and not much else :)

Glove question, why not apothecary base?
cuz it gets overwritten and surpassed by the eldritch implicit. damage over time is inferior to damage over time multi, because there is less of it in existence.

check out poe ninja for what people are doing if you want to push past my PoB. The end game of my PoB should be able to tacke some of the ubers (but slowly)

I use brutal restraint for onslaugnt. I do not put legion jewels in my guide as they are not new player friendly in the slightest
My issue with this video is that I don't understand some of the sources of crafting you're talking about in here.
I understand it could of been more newer player friendly but it would of just taken so much more time to have images/items put aside for a short one take video like this.
I do however have lots of entry level crafting guides for newer players

Played for years and I always thought you needed around 6k life for a build to even start to be tanky. Was really funny being at 4.5k life and for heaps of t16 bosses just standing in front of them and spamming my firetrap.

GAh! i dont get it, i have same tree and gear as in pob, and i even have a slightly better sceptre, and my tooltip damage is 241k but yours is 700k O.o
Ammy/weapon/helmet are biggest sources of damage. Also awakened gems are huge for RF
@@PohxKappa i got the +1 amu and exposure gloves, burning/conc helm, very good sceptre and +1 socketed aoe gems and so on, but still under 300k tooltip damage, same tree and so on, im not very good at this game, so i have missed something for sure, but what 🤯 have the awakened gems, but only lv 1 so far
First! May be a stupid question, but would it be a good choice to add corrupting fever to the build and use a poet's pen to put the curse and wave of conviction? Would limiting myself to only DoT and DoT multi instead of fire / physical even be feasible?
even applying it with something consistent like storm brand is probably too cute to actually be worth it. absolutely NOT worth it to drop your relevant RF weapon for a poets pen.
Never been a fan of tempest shield, I just stick to shock flask + pantheon in general. Allows me to be more flexible on the rest.
And about res, saffells etc, I like dropping immo flesh when I can get a double life elder/hunter belt

Could you explain minion damage nodes? It works for us even of we don’t have minions? As we drop stone golem, which minions do we have for the staff?
Look at the left side of your skill tree in the PoB. Read the minion related nodes. I believe you can do that.
Spiritual Aid Node on Tree.

So much investment in so low dps, RF looks cool but it needs serious buff, one good thing about this build is that its tanky, dont know when will GGG come to sense to buff it so it can compete with other average skill gems, because its dps is below average.
I personally think the build is fine. It can do most content quite comfortably on a budget aside from ubers and a few other instances
