    Ingenious. Mr Mezzofanti is not an expert coder, but he really is an expert tweaker.

    Could you do more videos on your Linux setup, CLI packages, ricing etc. I find your vids very inspiring.

    This is a really cool video, inspires me to do some modifications myself. Would you be able to share your config file?

    Great video! I definitely love LWT! I also know barely any coding, but I also finally got RUclips videos to show up on it (on Windows). Very helpful for me with trying to learn from transcripts of vlogs. Wish someone would go through and trim the code, add full video support, and beautify the thing :(

      It's cool you got the browser to show. It took me days to figure out how to tweak the code for video. And I ended up downloading a 3rd party source code for it. But you used the native html5

    Yeah. I found LWT thru Benny as well. :) And I agree, LWT + Anki SRS = good stuff.

      @@miaportuguese24 What have you been using? I'd suggest FLTR much simpler, lighter and you don't need the server

    May I suggest FLTR - foreign language text reader. Better than LWT, no hassle with installation, you import plain text, study just one imported text or the vocabulary from all of the imported texts (even when you delete the text, the vocab stays stored in an excel file).

      Yeah I think I tried FLTR years ago and preferred LWT. The easier install would definitely suit more people but the advantage of having LWT on a web server is that I can take my tablet to a coffee shop and log in to my server at home. Or I can just lay outside in my hammock and connect to it.

      I also would point out that FLTR does not support audio to my knowledge, which for those of us doing LR (the Listen-Read language learning method) is a deal breaker. Of course FLTR is open source so this could be added. But for those who would struggle to set up LWT on your computer, than I take it they would not be capable of writing the java code to implement this feature.

    Also, do you use LWT with arabic? I've found it a bit difficult.

      Yep. Arabic works perfectly.

    What do you use to change colorschemes automatically?

    • @mezzoguild
      @mezzoguild  6 лет назад +2

      I use a Python script called wal that uses ImageMagick to find the dominant colors in a wallpaper and then set the Xresources color scheme to match.
