The best version of I Don't Live Today! This and the Albert Hall version. This version is like a *uckin bomb dropped from another planet! God bless Jimi and the Band!
There iz 1, where Hendrixmentionz ELECTRIC CHURCH. Datz my favorite version. Small snatchez of THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER, r within da solo. Noelz playing, iz top notch. Mitch, azz usual, iz also brilliant. Da version, I LOVE, has been taken down, BUTT I'm sure sumbody will repost soon. Hendrix material iz staying up, lately. I LOOK 4WARD 2 IT & so should u!
Yes. Underrated for some damn reason is his last concert at that L.A. Forum in 1970. SSB is mind-blowing in that one. I had a borrowed bootleg of the one that said Coca-Cola on the cover. Thank God for technology. So many just sounded too crappy to truly enjoy yet you could tell if his playing was on or not. Can't believe how this sounds. Mixing board recording I guess.
I believe the best version of "I Don't Live Today" was a bootleg concert from the Forum, where Mitch Mitch starts out with an extended drum solo introduction. For the longest time, from the beginning, this was my favorite Experience tune. Of course, the irony, in retrospect, isn't lost on me.
Jimi James Johnny Hendrix was everywhere on this one. The plight of the American native showed through with every jam showing how there are few places for the native American to belong in the current world than most can fathom. Thanks for posting
One can tell it's a later gig by the original Experience line-up simply due to the fact that Noel can't keep quiet, if nothing else. Otherwise, excellent stuff!
@@Albrecht777 yes, him thanking the audience like they were there to see him and not Jimi. Wanna be band leader; his post-Hendrix band, Fat Mattress, was absolutely terrible.
A young and nervous Martin Barre just talked recently of how on the earliest tour with Jethro...ha-ha, he was backstage with Jimi. Martin said that he was so kind and later he met many other guitar Gods but Jimi was soft=spoken instead of egomaniacal and meanspirited. And Martin was on his first tour outside of England too. Wow. So many years later these true tales are coming out. And these recordings. Shocked it sounds this clear.
this version of this song is close 2 the 1ST the song is longer and JIMI plays alot more I can when he feels good the songs are better and they are from the heart 😊❤ and soul W feelings 😊😊OMG 6 7 2O23

Hendrix played another excellent version of this tune, in April of 1969, at the Forum in Los Angeles.

Our Jimi Who Art In Heaven
The song starts at 2:26.
There's nothing like Jimi Hendrix and the experience.... NOTHING comes even close to their sound. ❤❤❤

Jimi Hendrix Experience and Jethro Tull.. what a concert! Amazing version of I don't live today, full of distortion, feedback and space sounds.
Jimmy hendrix o maior astro musical 🎼 que já ouvi em minha vida parabéns hendrix, muito fera.
How brilliant is this? Every fantastic far out guitar solo all at once! Wish I'd been there!🤘🏴☠️
San Diego 69 still beats this performance in terms of audio quality and performance. But this still is a solid version by the master.
Mad genius conducting beauty and chaos

Konserthuset, Stockholm, Sweden. January 9, 1969.
Second of two shows, both recorded by Swedish radio.
