Every 2 weeks I go to the grocery store to replace rotting vegetable in my fridge. Green beans. Spinach, broccoli, arugula, romaine, bell peppers and on a weekly basis I feed them banana water..I place bananas 5 bananas in water in the blender than I place the liquid in a clean paint bucket for 2 days..then I sieve the liquid and feed my plants with the liquid.Whatever green veggies I have, I run them thru my juicer add water and let sit outside in a clean paint bucket for a week then water my plants with this water. Trial and error, I found out that some plants do not like veggie or banana water. It is best not to water the entire plants at first..just water a few and see if the plant likes these waters. I got this recipe from a true Gardner at the Vicinity vegetable and fruit stalls. Oh. Yes and he instructed me to stop fertilizing Autumn and during winter.

Might have agreed, but when I saw him using a PAINT bucket all I could do was shake my head. That will be absorbed into the liquid and end up in the plant root system. I was always taught to use food grade buckets.
If you don’t have rainwater, fill the bucket up, let it sit out in the sun for a day. The chlorine will evaporate. Do not use paint buckets with paint or epoxies in them.
I have two bokashi bins all all food waste goes into the bin, then is used for compost. The tea juice is drained from the bucket every few days into a bottle and then used as liquid fertiliser in the garden.

My suggestions: Forget the bonemeal, just add banana peel. Secondly, let it sit longer, maybe a month or more to let more nutrients and minerals release into the water.
Easy way to get calcium save egg shells wash them when you finished cooking turn off cooker put shells in container and put in oven while still hot fetch out when it's cooled I use a smoothy maker to grind them to powder and put them in a bag till you have enough then dig into soil
Calcium is not released from egg shells even when they are ground to powder. Vinegar must be added in water solution to egg shells for the calcium to become available to plants. Egg shells buried were found complete and not broken down in any way when dug up 20 years later. The claim that egg shells boost tomato growth and fruiting is due to improved drainage - nothing more, nothing less.
Can I add the weed fertilizer to the leaves of my amaranthus and jute vegetables, hope it doesn't have a side effect How often should I apply them on my leafy and fruity vegetables
Take note of this, Bone meal is made from defatted, dried animal bones that are ground to a fine powder. It's a mineral supplement. It's high in calcium and phosphorus, which is true, but there are many safer and better forms of calcium supplements on the market for intensive gardening. Synthetic bone meal, I have never heard of it.
If you blend your eggs shells in a powder it works well and there’s also a yeast fertiliser with blended eggs shells that is really good just search yeast fertiliser on RUclips
Mi nuh tink bone meal necessary . Mi nuh nuo weh name suh. I do something similar but only add kitchen scraps and greens; Banana peels, lettuce, cucumber peals, beets and any other kind of veggie and fruit scraps. I also add weeds after weeding.
What is bone meal? This name is very much new to me anyway where can we find it any clue please share and thank you for sharing your wonderful experiment
Borne meal is a pouder that is made after killing an animal like a cow, they dry it and crush it into together with bones. In the whole animal and this powder is mostly used to mix when making chicken feed. This helps chickens to grow fast as they get good nutrients for growing fast. It is available in shops where chemicals to treat chickens are sold. But it's not common bcz is expensive.

Within the first week a tea smell will come and the brew will be super bubbly. Then the smell will turn nasty. Wait approx 1 year and the smell will go away. Once the smell is gone strain off solids. Congrats you made the same nutrients you can buy in the store with no burning of fossil fuels

In the United States, any garden department sells it. It adds Phosphorus (good to boost root growth) and Calcium to the mix. But it is NOT a necessary ingredient for weed tea, just a bonus.
Who told u that this weed tea is so strong ?? Have u ever done any lab test of this tea?? Its very mild fertilizer and it can not be an fertilizer alternative

Thank. You sir
It works well especially for green growth. And it does smell bad. Very very efective
Excellent way to provide nutrient back to the garden plants , which where sucked by garden weeds.

or u can simply add vitamin c powder ..it will remove the chlorine
I used the tea with good results. I keep the bucket far away from the house to avoid the smell and usually need a shower after gardening, lol.
Be careful. Tea is acidic. Don't put tea on the leaves or around alkaline loving plants or even neutral PH plants.
It's a great recipe 🌝👍 I use nettle and comfrey tea🌱🍵🌱 as fertilizer.

I did this with sea weed and made a fantastic fertiliser
Seaweed is the only fertilizer you need - on it own.

I think banana peel is more potassium and less phosphorus.
Yes correct

Or don’t throw away old calcium pills, old dry herbs, spice mixes. Add to this.
Egg shell can not be absorbed by the plants unless the worms have done their job first.

Would this solution work with cannabis?
