    In this video, Jackie Pullinger tells Alan Whicker how Jesus has saved the lives of many drug addicts in Kowloon, Walled City in Hong Kong by using her and others. It appears the interview was made in the late 1980s. -A STUNNING AND INSIGHTFUL TESTIMONY OF HOW GOD USED HIS PEOPLE IN THAT PLACE- If you haven't seen this interview, I think you're missing a good one. Thanks to Paul H for posting it.

    Oh - I did not know. What a sadness for us to have lost such a Godly man - Glorious for him but how much we all enjoyed his heart for God all his life. Thank you

    I agree, whole heartily. When Jesus comes into a person's heart he cleans it out, and the addiction has to go because He is stronger. It is almost impossible to stop heroin addiction once it is established in a person, but Jesus can.

    Is it works based faith, or is it lasting difficult situation.

    • @Hitchypaul
      @Hitchypaul  Год назад

      James the Apostle states that faith without works is dead faith. It probably will be a lasting difficult situation. I expect that The ministry of Jackie Pullinger will last as long as she is alive, and when she has gone then things mat decline into a religion. I hope it doesn't.

      Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We will be born into this world and serve Him, then die and go to be with Him, but He will continue His work of love towards the sinner until He finally comes again, never to leave.

      @@Hitchypaul many pentecostal revivals and miracles are expected, yet many forget the many false pentecostal evangelists, whose ministries despite the claims of healing and miracles, were found wanting and many fulfilled Jesus warning that it be so deceiving with their healing and miracles campaigns, it will deceive the elect if it was possible.

      Yep and it's totally cringeworthy how he asks if she has a boyfriend. I mean, seriously. People being saved and freed from drug addiction and his mind is focused on the lady's personal life. It was like everything she was telling him about Jesus just wasn't sinking in. Some people are so bound by Satan that it practically paralyzes them, blinds them and/or makes them deaf.
      Moreover, shocking truths about sexual debauchery and horrific abuse by BBC presenters of that era (eg Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris etc) have since emerged (and most people employed there knew but did nothing) and even if he had zero involvement, he was still working in an absolute moral cesspool.
      He never married himself. Only had various girlfriends...

    Never uplift the person. But again hong Kong has changed since Chinese takeover. Whicker asked same question are they not drug addicts in sheffield. Charity begins at home. Hudson taylor done same and he despaired for the millions of unsaved in his day.
