    Great to her repaired and working. I’m glad that when I did a repair video on mine I didn’t have to do this much work lol

      I just watched your video, enjoyed that one. Makes me want to get a loop of track down!

    Great repair Nick, its always satisfying to correctly diagnose the problem and undertake a successful repair, good job! May I ask though why an 800 when the platforms are half the length of the train?

      Thanks John! I wanted to collect western area stock for future plans whilst they were still available. And for 120 pounds, I couldn't leave them, opportunistic purchase.

    The number of times I've had to comment on Class 800s, they are not like HSTs the driving cars are not power cars. The power cars are the intermediate cars where the engines are. 3 in a 5 car set and 5 in a 9 car set.

    Hi Nick. I have to ask: after buying the "missing" carriages, the missing/broken parts (including the pantograph wires you ordered in error), but excluding the decoder, how much did you save over buying a brand new train pack? Sorry, but may I suggest you watch your camera focus when doing close-ups?

      Hey Paul, because they're not available new anymore the current price is around 320 for the two cars alone. It ended up at 320 the lot with all five cars. Thanks for the tip on the camera, I was gutted when I saw it after I'd finished the repair! :(

      @@Rule1ModelRailways Great bargain, then! My GWR is in N gauge by Kato and bought from Japan - cheaper (including delivery) than buying from a UK distributor!

      No, just one I had laying around. But it's too big I need a slimmer one to put the cover back on right.

      @@Rule1ModelRailways ok 🙂do you prefer oo gauge or n gauge

    • @Rule1ModelRailways
      @Rule1ModelRailways  2 года назад +1

      I prefer 00 gauge, if I had the space, n gauge for the realistic trains I can have in a small area. So really it's subjective.
