No, that's not how this went down.....This woman, in all likelihood, will end up doing closer to 30 years. It's not 15 years, it's 15 to life. And, what 15 to life means exactly is that her first shot at parole comes up in 15 years. And, even though it's possible that she gets released in 15 years, it is not very likely. Historically, request for parole in these kinds of crimes gets shot down the first few times. Plus, the victim's families always show and petition the parole boards to keep the offenders locked up. Yes, she will get out eventually, but until she has done at least 30 years in prison. And, who knows, it's 15 to life and if she is not a model prisoner, she could actually end up doing life.

@00pinkman00 I'm a retired attorney. So please believe when I say, I've been in front of enough parole boards to know how these things normally shake out. No one wants to release people who have not paid their societal debts back out early. If someone is going to get out, they need to first pay their debt. Believe that, my friend.

@@00pinkman00 Yes, you are absolutely correct. The destruction of this family is something that can never be fixed.
You know, there are never any guarantees with parole boards, but I can tell you that cases like this never rule in favor of the person who is in prison. This woman will be in jail for a long time.

She as well as I was completely selfish when it came to others. I was lucky I didn't kill anyone. My oldest boy dont speak to me anymore. I am blessed my daughter and other son does. She gets a short sentence of 15 years for committing a crime, while the mom AND the family gets LIFE for committing no crime....

I think that law should be updated personally to 25 years for a DUI death. We need to take a good hard look and start making some hard choices. There is no reason with the amount of transportation available through rideshare.

I’M GLAD SHE GOT TO SEE THAT PRECIOUS & BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL WHO LOOKS JUST LIKE HER MOMMY & WHO’S LIFE SHE ALMOST TOOK,
THEY WERE ONLY OUT ON AN EVENING STROLL, SO INNOCENT, MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS. IN THOSE PICTURES THEY LOOK SO IN LOVE & SO READY TO BE A FAMILY, IT’S JUST HEARTBREAKING 💔
PEOPLE, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO. . . IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY LEARNT PLEASE LET THIS BE A LESSON,
DON’T DRINK OR TAKE DRUGS & DRIVE.
DON’T TAKE & RUIN LIVES, INC. YR OWN.
NOTHING GOOD EVER COMES FROM IT.

Did you hear that 4. DUI. That needs to be changed to mandatory on your second DUI you’re doing time. And you can never ever get a drivers license in any state in the United States. Think about it. This has to stop.
