  • (Please see part 2 for more tests and Let's Resin price correction)I have purchased 5 different brands of Eco Resin/Casting powders to see if there are any differences between them. I have performed many tests so the video is quite long. At the end I have added a price comparison chart and photos of each item side by side.

    Wow, I would say the lovely cat stole the show! Thank you for recognizing JDiction as one of the brands featured in the experiment. It's fantastic to see that our product performed well in terms of whiteness and fluidity, just as we anticipated when formulating it. We're dedicated to providing high-quality craft products that meet the needs of crafters, and your feedback strengthens our commitment to excellence.

    I can't help think the cat's thought was "Oh so we're drop things to the floor now?? When I do it I'm in trouble" lol. Beautiful cat!

    Holy Moly that was a lot of work. I was thinking of doing something like this and now I'm glad I hadn't done it so far lol. Nice to see a clear and well thought out test of 5 of the eco resins we can get in the UK, as we don't tend to get as many as in the USA. Great video and thanks sharing all your hard work. x

      I've only used Aqua cast too but as I've had thin bits break I wondered if the other brands had any more strength, they don't seem too though, so I'll be sticking with Aqua Cast

    This was a fantastic video. Thank you. I had the same experiences with Auqacast as you did when you did the marbling. It marbled with Homeware DesignsLatte and had some off putting green. Very odd. I thought it might be because my room was really cold. Maybe not. Hmmm.

    What a coincidence, I just did this with ResinCrete, Teexpert PureCure (no longer made), and a resin powder from Temu 6 daysago, complete with a price comparison, of course I used eco resins available in the USA. Nice job 🙂

      I just want to add to this this, please dont be disheartened by the negative reaction video this video does not come accross as either hypocrtical or misleading in any way. Users of any resin products know that what works for some people does not work for others and a marbling technique is just one of them. Without being in a fully atmosphereric controlled enviroment there will be differences in heat and humidity, the pressure of each pigment drop will be different etc etc etc.

    I found this very informative thank you. Looks like you've stirred up a bit of drama with ep ambassadors 😉😅 I thought you were very fair on all products. U gained a new follower because of it, so don't take it to heart ♥️

    Wow, awesome experiments! I was curious on the difference between the eco resin alternatives. So far I have only tried 3 powder alternatives (perfectcast, mix2mold, and resincrete), and found out only one is actually eco and kid friendly, so I save it for when I have my granddaughter over and she wants to craft ❤.

    Good to see someone using the proper terms for all these. So many call then eco pours which is a brand name. Eco Pour is my fave as it's a just add water, and rather forgiving, but they all have their merits and room for personal preference don;t they. I've never seen Eco Pour do the issues you had before though - that's odd, looks like oyu have way tooo mush water in it Actual Eco Pour I mean - yes EP first then Resin. Have you done a comparison on the eco credentials on these products too? That would be interesting

      @@Prettynotpurrfectcrafts I can see where you went wrong - you must have mixed the Eco Pour completely wrong - it's way too much water as you can see in your video. None of them would have performed with way too much water. These products aren't meant for most of the uses you put them to here - those are resin techniques, not eco casting powder which is not resin. If you want some ideas I do have a whole playlist on eco alternatives on my channel. Oh and the colours- Homeware Designs are some of the best - again, just need to use the right amount to get the colour youre after. I hope that helps :)

    • @Prettynotpurrfectcrafts

      Just redid the Eco Pour and mica's and got the same result

    • @miniscenesgb
      @miniscenesgb 3 месяца назад +4

      @@Prettynotpurrfectcrafts yes you will. Eco Pour isn't designed for resin techniques. it's not sticky therefore isn't intended for Micas and chameleon powders, pens or anything like that. If you look at my playlist you'll see how you can use chameleon powders with it but it;s a totally different technique. Sane with using these sort of products for bookmarks - not intended for th at. It's perfect for marbling, solid colour casting, stenciling onto, silk screening on to - totally different techniques to resin. Your main issue however is you can see how massively too watery you mixed it.

    I use Naturesin from ResinPro and you mix both the powder and the water by weight, not ml of water.

    Hi great review and so useful thank you, for the price review you mentioned that one of the resins (can't remember the brand) was 25kg or something and you couldn't lift it , can you confirm the amount you purchased of each brand for the price comparison as obviously that makes a difference thank you

    • @Prettynotpurrfectcrafts
      @Prettynotpurrfectcrafts  3 месяца назад +2

      I by Aqua cast in a 25kg tub as it's my regular eco resin, but for the others I bought the smallest they made as it was a test. If you pause the video on the comparison chart you can see I have the price I paid in the row that matched the size I bought of each. But as I used offer codes to get my prices, it is better for everyone else to look at the current price column and price per kg (highlighted in yellow) column.

    On the eco pour you said you mixed 100grams powder to 30 mils of water which it clearly doesn’t state as the correct ratio on back of pack. So unfortunately you mixed it wrong!
