As a killer main, it feels like I’m being forced to play scummy since so many survivor squads will work together to make my life frustrating as all hell. I down someone and 3 other people come with fuckin flashlights or bodyblock.
Don’t feel bad at all playing like that, if they play like that. If they gen rush right you won’t even get any play around them. At least with flash lights or body blocking you can effectively snowball somewhat against them.
Yesterday I thought I could play a game or two for fun. Then there was this Leon simping so hard for Ada Wong keeps coming out of nowhere to blind me even once I tried to pick up Ada while facing a wall just in front of me however there was this tiny opening on the screen Leon managed to use to blind me AGAIN. Jesus dude I’m not totally newbie, I mean I’m new to the game but because of the videos I watched and playing the game a bit on mobile I kind of play better than newbs. Though I’m still a newcomer and getting wrecked by survs like that reminds me to sit down and know my place. LOL

I don’t mind playing scummy, I used to be the most honorable killer before I snapped and started playing heartlessly and winning. But it’s been two and a half years, devotion 13 level 51, near competitive level MMR, I spent all of it as a dedicated killer main who played despite the unfair mechanics against killer. But now I just can’t, at this point the games are only fun if I like the killer’s sound design when they hit someone or use their power like Trapper or Nemesis, but even then, those killers are weak and every survivor at such high level are little bastards. Survivor mains, but mostly the devs, have ruined killer for me. It’s actually more fun to play survivor even with just one other person and lose, compared to a 4k as killer because of how stressful it is to win since you’re working against 4 people out to ruin your game and unbalanced game mechanics that make it easy for them to do it.
some people don't think about it, but you're the killer, the villain, you should play scummy, they should play by your rules.
but bubba camping is for pussys tho.

I always try to have fun in games. Some games I’ll just try to kill everyone but sometimes I’ll be nice. It’s pretty nice tbh. The simple head nods and tbags after we goofed around. Especially since I just game alone.

I don't play killer much, but people have been toxic like 3 out of the 7 times I've played killer, like I said I don't play killer much but that's still more than you'd expect, or I guess not, knowing how people are now

@Cat_enjoyer32 ya, it feels like everyone hates the killer, but it's part of the game, you literally can't play without 1. The good thing is you can just ignore it, but I still don't play killer, I play with my family so we end up playing a lot more, we usually play on 1 xbox and just switch turns. Idk if you have anyone to play with but if you do that could make it funner for you too
I remember my days as a Dwight main pulling off the most calculated and incredible stunts by pure accident, and now when I do play, I have to rely solely on my perks cause the killers have gotten smarter, and half the time my teammates skills are comparable to a doorknob while I, somehow a once iridescent rank, am damned to eternity as an ash rank

Rank 1 is usually the opposite of camping. Rather everyone being slugged to death
Rank 1 used to be the place where the most fun happened because you had no idea what match you will get against who, but now if you win 3 in a row you know the MMR will put you against the most slugging camping and tunneling killer...
You do realize you need to do at least one or more of these things to actually not get gen rushed in 3 minutes??
@@tylerhug1918 i don't and they usually pop 2-3 gens beginning, i start snowballing pressure, they pop one more gen and everyone usually second hook by than, than i kill one if the survivors fully yo instill more pressure, i win most if these games, you need to get good to get good, camping, tunneling, and slugging ain't gonna get you good, i literally always win on the last gen or even door stage before endgame, don't be afraid to let them pop, learn to snowball till they can't handle anymore
@@MarkyDaBiscuit Snowballing will have to be slugging and “camping” is going to back to the hook when they try to save right next to you, and tunneling is always justified if they let you because there are perks and body blocks that can easily stop a tunnel. I get red rank every season because I realize with four survivors they can easily bully & gen rush any killer. So you have to stoop to their level and tunnel, camp, and slug if they ever give you the chance or you will get four escapes from red rank survivors ever game.
@@tylerhug1918 get a better build or play better. No killer needs to camp, slug or tunnel. Slugging is better than camping or tunneling because I've seen survivors come back from getting 3 slugged and even 4 with perks like unbreakable and no Mither. Camping and tunneling is a death sentence immediately and ruins the fun for the person it happens to. Gen rushing can be 100% prevented if you're a good killer.

I used to spend everyday on this game.. everyday of my life. And not wanting to play at all after the changes, updates, maps, dlcs & it’s poor community.. just honestly rips my heart out. Loosing this game has made gaming in general just vulgar for me.

I miss the time when survivors helped each other, and when it was fun to communicate with the killer. Now the survivors don't care about each other, and the killers have become really cruel. I will never forget how, in my very first game, the survivors framed me. The killer saw it, but he never hit me. He killed them all, and then walked with me while I was fixing the generators. He even opened the gate for me himself. It was a shock to me. I will never forget my first game. Thanks to her, I found a best friend.

This is a good reminder to spread love and joy every chance you get. I was never around for old dbd, but I know that bubba was having a very bad day and he wanted others to feel the same. Feel the same rage, sadness, and worthlessness, maybe to feel better about himself. But it’s a vicious cycle, and all it takes is a spark. 1 t-bag can spiral down a pure, joyful, fair, and silly killer main into that bubba. So please, type “I hope you’re day gets better” whenever you play against someone like this.

I've lost a couple games because I refuse to hook the same guy 3 times in a row. If I've hooked you twice early in the game, you get two saving chases before you go down a third time.

Games were slower paced and I loved it. You had time to search chests, do totems and roam around. I could run around as a new killer and not worry to much about getting Gen rushed because everyone was scared of a terror radius and hid more than they would initiate a Chase. Chases were more rare and gens getting done were more rare. People took their time. Nowadays, its too competitive. If you and you're team are not on a gen as soon as you spawn in, you can bet your pretty much done for. On top of that, you can't run fun new builds anymore because you don't even get time to use them. It's just Gen, Chase, unhook, heal (if your lucky)
Can't even start the match in peace without killer finding you instantly

I find myself enjoying the game more these days then I used too. The beginning games were always iconic, but games change, and times have been tough in the games history, but it's in a better spot then it has been before

There is a reason people make these jokes I stopped playing because it became frustrating instead of fun with dc/greifing survivors and tunneling camping killers.
And this game has been around a long time, naturally things end someday.
A game like this doesn't need a competitive element, its not a mlg game. That led to the current state people just wanna win or get rank/bloodpoints.
I got the game in 2018 and played for a long time having fun but when they removed hawkins is when it started going downhill for me everytime i try to play i play against bubbas blights and nurses once i got nurse 5x in a row i rather go back and have the terrible hitboxes than what this game is now
I actually used to be super competitive right around 2020, I was rank 1 I think. But then I got so tired of the grind, and completely stopped playing. Started playing the game again recently after a few years. It’s so much more fun now tbh cause I don’t take the matches extremely seriously. I still remember all the old tricks, but it’s just so much more fun when you aren’t playing sweaty tbh. That’s what made the old dbd fun. We were all actually scared, constantly getting killed, screaming over the mic when the stealth killer comes around the corner and surprises us. It was just so much fun. Until you take it too seriously lmao
I miss the days when Dbd felt scary, mmr wasn't a thing , and most of all I'm starting to hate the competitive side of dbd . Sure I've been playing for 5 years but if I go against a team who has as much experience as myself I do not even get to play ...I like the game but damn if it doesn't stress me out sometimes

I loved this game for so many years... I don't know if I just got older or bored of the game but it always felt like both sides were getting more and more competitive. I remember ptbs filled with new survivors running new perks. Now I struggle to find a ptb with survivors even using the new perks let alone playing the new character.
I remember my first day playing this game when freddy was the newest killer. My first match against myers I was just doing gens with my teammate and got so confused when they suddenly ran away. Then I panned the camera and he was just staring at me from a distance 😂
I remembered when I first played as killer and it was ghost face all I saw it as was a game to me. I always played the survivor the one with grey mask that has the eye holes. As I started to play more and got more killers in the game. I was starting to realize the game more and have better understanding of what I could do not just working on gens and helping survivors. as I moved on in the long run playing it if you know what I mean. It just feels like something else to me now (if you know what I mean). Ever since I kept playing it, it seemed easy until I realized that it wasn't when I was playing the game more and started to notice that there's teabaggers, sweat squads, bully squads, toxic survivors as well. when I first played. it seemed so easy too. Good times.

I remember not really knowing much of the killers back then. To me it was trapper hillbilly huntress meyers and bubba. It was fun playing against new killers who I didn’t know much about and now that I know counterplay and all of their abilities well it’s not as much fun

i really just don't have fun playing as survivor anymore. it's a shame. i have like 1k hours on the game (accumulated over the years) and have met a lot of friends through playing. i still play occasionally when invited by friends so i can spend time with them but it wouldn't be fun in the slightest for me if i were to play alone. and i used to genuinely even enjoy solo queueing. i miss the way it used to be.
