Hi George - Nice finds. I've had a dodgy copy of Afro-Harping for years. Just seen that there's a two-disk reissue been announced. I pre-ordered mine from Sounds of the Universe. I think Dusk Fire is an amazing album. Cheers Dale
Hi yes I see that Afro harping is coming as a double will pick it up when released. Loving my rendell and carr. Will get them all. Another rabbit hole for the addiction
You are my VC jazz expert George. Most of my recent Jazz purchases have been because of you, thanks for spending my money. I do enjoy seeing and hearing about the UK jazz bands. I have never seen or heard of these albums which makes it very interesting. I have those Davis bootlegs on CD except Vol 7 which I also have on vinyl. Always great to see you my friend
Another great stack of records George. Byrd/Gryce album looks great. Congratulations on completing the Andrew Hill collection. Alice Coltrane record and book looks incredible too. And Miles Davis! Thanks for showing the records George!
@@Markymarkvinylnut hi mark. Two of my favourites. Maybe out there a bit but I like a wee challenge. That wall paper does my head in now. Have a great weekend.
Afro-Harping is to be reissued by UMR and Verve Records on 27th of September. Double LP with 8 unreleased tracks. There’s to be a CD too. Mastered from 1/4 inch tapes. Not sure if the records are AAA but given they’ve got the tapes, you’d hope so. Might be worth picking up for those additional tracks. *edit to say - great to see your latest finds, a pleasure as always George.
My money is on you getting the Miles box sets 😂 I’ve had those Ian Carr/ Don Rendel on the want list for ages, maybe now is the time to spring into action. Great to see your update George cheers Graham
@@brandnewstart hi g. They are getting thin on the ground. If you go to jazz man site they still have two. Very cheap. Just managed to get one miles box. Old stock. Wee bit cheaper.
Hey George, your Andrew Hill collection must be fairly large by now…good stuff. Your stereo setup looks mighty nice. 😊 Last year I bought the 5 Rendell/Carr LPs separately. I play them quite often. Yes, they knew what they were doing and very nice sound. Have a good day.
@@williamnow146 hi Bradley cheers for that. Just bought the other three. Not that easy to come by. Three from Europe. Two from main site. Yip Andrew hill now have all but one of his vinyl lps. Will wait on a reissue on blue note. System sounding sweet. Ta.

@@scottspinner1 Yeah, I got a couple from Amazon, Discogs and a couple of online stores. But it worked out in the end.
That's one hell of a set up. Jeez. What was playing in the intro, Scott?
