Got their adapter (the small part shown around 0:36) for my K1600, and it’s just perfect ! I can now use my SP Connect (moto bundle) and set my phone so that I can see it and it doesn’t hide any of the bike instruments. Would 100% recommend to other K16 and R12RT users !
So you managed to shoot the most important, technical part of this installation video from an angle that completely obscures what the viewer needs to see. Good job.

Thought exactly the same 🤦🏻 Maybe he doesn’t wanted us to see that the multipod complete covers the speedometer…
So much negativity. I thought it was excellent and although i did not see you putting in the grub screw as someone commented i know how to tighten a grub screw.
I have two problems with this product. 1.It protrudes about 10-12mm further than it needs to from the handlebar casting. 2.The $175 Multipod device that attaches to it by design is overpriced and inferior to the RAM product. Make this RAM compatible and you would have me as a customer on the product.

You can remove some parts of the multipod to make it smaller because it is completely modular. But the price though… That adapter that replace the original handlebar screw has a thread inside…. maybe it’s compatible with a Ram ball screw…
I bought two stainless bolts, one for each side. On them, you can attach any kind of RAM mount that will not obscure the tank bag, speedo, or anything else on the dash. The bolts cost $12 apiece, plus whatever RAM mount you want to install...
This is the worst designed piece of crap I have ever installed on Mry 2013 rt. I have had it installed on my bike for 8 yrs. & every yr. in the winter months I have to fix it as it is ALWAYS coming loose. I have drilled & tapped screws into it added red high strength lock tight at both joints with very little success. This yr. I installed more screws & lock tight in hopes it might not come loose again. The idea for this o.k. but the end result is a piece of crap. Please redesign it for future customers.

Depending on what your needs are, Don't underestimate the use of Velcro.
You are braver than I am not covering your tank before working on the handlebars.
