Have you personally A/Bed them? I have, for months, no bass and no detail in the highs (also the boxy 180hz peak) killed me really. Still I'm not stubborn (and a big Zoom fanboy), so I'm getting a B1four with a newer firmware than the one I owned from a friend to do some more A/Bing. Will post vids soon. The aim (as was here) is to clone my MS-60B tones in the four. Hope they've improved the SansAmp emulation. The horrible one in the fours produces fart, not grit, as you increase gain.
On the video I also prefer sound b1 four than ms60b. But are the both units with the last firmware updates? I llwant compact ms60b but all youtube reviews show me than b1four souns much better. Do you agree?
At the software level the B1XFour uses different icons to the MS pedals :-). Also Zoom changed the format of the FX. The older units seems to be better build (metal v plastic), sometimes have extra Z pedal for some FX and do the job - cheaper 2nd hand. Alas the midi control is not so food but usable. Really like what you are doing on your channel. Great stuff.
Thanx a lot man! I'm in fact adding a basic set of bass FX to a G1Xfour (I might buy) from a friend, using your video tutorial as my guide. Will do more A/Bing with the previous generation, I still haven't given up on the latest generation, there's got to be a way for it to sound as good as my MS-60B/MS-50G/B3/G1Xon).
@@bigoldnoob I hope you don't brick it! So far it seems stable. I was just playing with your Royal Blood ideas plus Mark's tutorial on his bass lessons channel. Using a G5n but like you it has bass and acoustic FX. These pedals are a lot more versatile than Zoom allow - shame. If they just opened the MIDI I would be super happy. Instead I reverse it.
Maybe there is something "wrong" with my ears, but I think the B1x Four sounds way better than its predecessor.

There's a definite device difference in your AB. I have many of their pedals. I also found some of the older pedals have a deeper more slap tone.
