Does anyone remember this story that Hopkins has told in interviews?
He was visiting a friend in an apartment building back in 1991 (perhaps in New York, although I can't remember), and as he left, when he took the elevator to the lobby and the door opened, a woman standing there screamed as soon as she saw him.
She composed herself and explained that she had just come from seeing Silence of the Lambs, where she was blown away by his scary performance, so seeing him come out of the her own building's elevator freaked her the hell out.

Jodie Foster is living proof that it's possible to be an A list actress for multiple decades & still remain humbled & down to earth. You rarely hear anything remotely negative in the media about her & that is very rare considering how many years she has been in showbiz. Even more rare, is that she is letting herself age naturally without major plastic surgery and/or procedures in hopes of turning back the hands of time. I also have admiration for her for the roles she takes on & respect that she relies on her acting talent instead of exploiting her sexuality. In my opinion she should be the standard in the entertainment industry that everyone else is measured by.🌻

Jesse Bowman Manhunter with William Petersen. Brian Cox is Hannibal Lecter but he's not the main villain in this one. the first thing I ever saw on William Petersen and and I absolutely fell in love with him. the wonderful Dennis Farina plays the special agent in charge period same character that Scott Glenn played. like Silence of the Lambs it's scary but it's also brainy. it's so enjoyable watching Peterson and his FBI colleagues track down the serial killer. good soundtrack. Also Joan Allen is in it. I know they made a newer version Red Dragon with Ed Norton period I haven't seen it and I will sometime but Manhunter is just awesome.

If you see his social media, he is an awakened and very, very uplifting person who loves music and plays piano very well. He also loves painting and he's good at it. A man of many talents, lots of compassion and a passion for arts of all kinds. It's definetely a pity she didn't try to get know the real person under the scary acting.
Which makes his work even more impressive because he could not be more different than that psychopathic character. He's crazy, crazy talented in his acting.

@@anthonyhopkinsofficial41 I remember seeing you do an interview with Tawny Little on KABC7 Eyewitness News regarding your role as Hannibal Lecter. She was asking you if it was difficult to let go of your Lecter character each day as you worked on Silence of the Lambs, mistaking you as a method actor. You told her that being English, you didn’t have to become the character, you just act! Then you made your famous hissing/sucking sound and she literally jumped out of her chair, on live TV, and ran off the set! I was dying laughing as she regained her composure enough to return to the stage. I think I remember that she moved her chair farther away from you as she continued the interview! For the life of me, I don’t remember what questions she asked you after that because I was still laughing at how pleased you were with yourself for scaring her off the stage! That was great TV!
I also wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your performances in The Lion In Winter, The Elephant Man, The Silence Of The Lambs, Meet Joe Black and The Edge. Your performance in The Silence Of The Lambs was so chilling and the way it was filmed with closeups was mentally invasive. The Lion In Winter was probably one of the best acted movies I’ve ever seen and the first time I saw you. The other 3, your characters were so kind, thoughtful, intelligent and self controlled. I really liked them because you played them so effortlessly. Thank you!

Anthony Hopkins regularly travels around the US (from east to west) in his car, for weeks at a time staying at Motels and Hotels. He loves it. There are lots of people that have been surprised(terrified) by him walking into a motel lobby late at night.

Just shows the depth of Anthony Hopkins' acting. He must be scary and intimidating to act alongside anyway, let alone him portraying a serial killer.
The fact that even the amazingly gifted, natural talented and very experienced Jodie Foster felt this and was actually too scared to talk to him, even off set it seems, speaks volumes of the level of this mans acting.
