apparently android auto had an update (or someone did) that basically eliminated my ability to use the navigation part of android auto. I have tried everything I can. no luck. not sure who to turn to. I contacted Kenwood (my radio mfg). contacted Motorola (my phone mfg) and no one can get it working. based on the cars and accepted vehicles - my car (Mitsubishi Outland Sport 2017) it should work. I paid a lot for this radio and now it doesn't provide me with the data display I've been used to. I end up having to prop my phone on the radio display and use that for navigation. it's much harder to see that the 5" display that I"m used to. any suggestions?
I'm dealing with the same thing, have been using Android auto for 6 months with my S21+ and suddenly started losing connection and the same day my receiver recognized the phone as a USB and not activating Android auto screen, the phone of my wife, pixel 6a works perfect though
For Samsung S23 Ultra, Cable cable, cable. Just change the cable nothing else is needed. I tried everything and eventually found that replacing the cable with a high speed short cable immediately solved the problem. High Speed 10Gbps USB C to USB A 3.2 Gen2 Data Transfer Cord,60W Type C Fast Charging Cable.
I use a one plus 8 pro with the latest version of android 13. My car works on with android auto on my friends phones, but not on mine. Wont even register through the manual connection option. Any ideas?
My android auto works fine with everything except the actual phone aspect. If I think I might need to use that, I've if I "unpair" on my phone. It will automatically "repair" When it does this the phone portion connects properly over bluetooth.
I have the same phone as your But mine was hk version so it doesnt support andriod auto. I manually downloaded it but still it says it wasn't pre-installed
Mine still doesn't work it's not the cable or the connection I even went out and bought a new cable thinking that was the issue and it still didn't work I even tried connecting my wife's phone(iPhone) and her carplay works just fine.. I even tried to connect to her car thinking it may be an issue with the media hub in mine but it still didn't work in a different car... But what I did notice my android auto needs to update and I'm not able to update it..
How do you fix the issue with when playing a video on your phone and when raising the volume the music comes up? It's getting really annoying..Please help!
The cars industry is fault as much as Google here. We've bought new Toyota Corolla Cross 2022 (model 2023) with android auto and Apple Car in specs and the car system acts as these services does not exist at all 😂 But that's not all. The updates of the multimedia unit were somehow locked out, so we were forced by Toyota to accept lot of crappy declarations yet still the update downloading somehow stuck, so we cancelled it and now this update does not show up at all, it literally says 'update cancelled' and does not try to repeat 😂
Se here with Skoda,S20 + working fine but s23 ultra not. Still connected through Bluetooth,so that works, just nothing when connecting with cable screen doesn't change.
I ordered a new cable and worked for me,so hopefully will helps use. Got problems with my ford. Its wired android auto. It worked for 6 months without any problem . Now its not connecting with my friends older phone it works witzout any problem
Okay so this is for anybody in these comments who did not resolve this specific issue that I'm about to mention. When I would plug in my Android it would play my music but then it would like lower the volume and all the base would go away and it would sound like shit so what I found out that the issue is is Spotify has an option that auto levels the volume you disable that option and the sound goes back to normal
I have a 2021 Mazda cx 5 and I did everything but AA just would not connect. The fix was that my parking brake wasn’t on LOL! So just one more step to help if you’re still stuck. Unplug your usb cable from your phone, Restart your car, turn your parking brake on and then plug your usb back into your phone. My car recognized my phone after that! Hope this helps.
SOLUTION: For me (2017 VW Golf) go to plsy store. Uninstall updates. Go to Apps on phone. Android Auto. Force stop. Storage. Delete cache. Delete data. Reboot phone. Simply restart by attaching to car. Works for me. Good luck.
it's the same for me...but my s23 ultra works fine on my friends car. i have found many article where it says s23 AA is not working with Skoda and VW cars
Mine works when it wants to. I can hit the tiniest bump and it disconnects. Then it will say loading and sometimes it says this phone is not compatible with Android Auto. I just laugh because it works sometimes so it must be compatible! It's so frustrating that I am seriously thinking of switching to an iphone.
I tried my Blackview BL880, no good, Motorola moto E32, no good, Bought a Chinese phone of Ebay, no good. Use my brothers Samsung, works fine, use his I phone and works fine. I replaced cables although all work with my brothers phones, tried changing USB settings via developer mode and still no good. Your video is very generic to say the least, it might work for the odd phone, but 3 phones I own and tried will not start AA, and thats via an USB cable, all those 3 phones do not see the phone USB connection, and the part of AA shows the connect cable as GREYED out, it does not even see the USB connection. Both your videos stop ate the very simple fix, now if you would go more in-dept, then yeah I would thumb it up, but sorry not this time!
Switch to Apple no problems there, basically everything smart device is made for Apple then android (except Samsung stuff) but even that Apple works right away. I work for Toyota and every time we have a problem with the connection is an Android and not only on Toyotas, I’ve seen it on Honda, Nissan, Kia and Chevy
Just doesn't connect I have given up trying its been over a month now. Just literally stopped overnight
No offense, but you give very little solutions. Most people know that restarting/updating is a thing. 😅
These videos are useless, he's just rambling. Try it in a car or something when you're done going through the settings lol
Not work for samsung a12

You might want to get that purple hand looked at.
My android auto was working, but it doesn't work at all, but the phone works it is very strange I changed the cable still nothing

Lol, I disconnected the battery on my vehicle, reconnected and used your method…bam, fixed. Thanks for the help!
same here. It will work for 3-7 days and then thats the only thing that will fix it
do you guys experienced the flashing of enable and cancel button on your screen? thanks for your help in advance.

Problem is my wife's pixel works perfect with the same cable
Many thanks, @manaabi3. Your comment solved the issue for me 🙏

Did you find a solution? I have the exact same problem on OnePlus 10T.
My connection is hit or miss. It works wherever it feels like.
same!

I cant use the phone portion on my galaxy at all.. the music text msgs all work just not phone!!

Basically, I think the app itself is worthless. Mine quit working and nothing I can do will make it work again....

I thought it was just me. It is truly frustrating. I am looking for a solution here.

I don't recommend you use a galaxy s7 as a daily phone but android auto works fine with all radios on that phone with micro USB

This waa helpful thank you. I didnt know i could open the AA app via connected devices! Lol. Will try connect in my car later.
The Android auto app disappeared from my car. Any way to see why??
i have the same problem! Did you figure out a solution?
You made so many "FIX android auto" videos but every single one of them is the same. It's literally the most generic tips, restart, update etc...
I have 3 S23 ultra phones all purchased at different times from different stores. None of them work with android Auto
Did you found any solution for that plz, i ve got the same problem
@R.B.H 82 no sir this issue really is frustrating
it's the same for me...but my s23 ultra works fine on my friends car. i have found many article where it says s23 AA is not working with Skoda and VW cars
My s21ultra doesn't work with Toyota CHR, tried all methods. But the apple 13pro works perfect
Mine it's working but, the option panel takes like half of the screen
αγόρασα opel Crossland x 2019 με android auto και carplay. τον πρώτο χρόνο δουλευε κανονικά .εδώ και 3 Χρόνια δεν ενώνονται. που είναι το πρόβλημα
Android 12 doesn't support this app so all new phones won't work
Does qireless android uses the bluetooth?
I tried everything
And still not work.
At the end I restarted the stereo and it worked.
Compatibility issue with type of connection you have. Find a phone that works such as galaxy s7

I just laugh because it works sometimes so it must be compatible! It's so frustrating that I am seriously thinking of switching to an iphone.
Holly hell, you are getting desparate
well none of this helped at all
Thank you for wasting my time
No connection from s24+ to xt4
Can't even see the screen you are showing!!! WTF!!!
MUST USE A 2.0 USB CABLE OR IT WILL NOT WORK ANDROID AUTO!!! YOU'LL KNOW ITS A 2.0 IF THE USB PLASTIC PIECE INSIDE IS BLACK!!

Still not working
You didn't say how to fix anything, just what everyone already knows
what a crappy contentless video, lol
No good
Where do I find real help? All this is basic!
Buy apple! That is the simplest solution
Thanks for nothing -
Bla bla bla
