I'd just like to say you shouldn't apologise for the discussion videos being long, I really like putting on an hour+ long video in the background, and your discussions of outlast trials are always really fun and insightful.
just got back on the game and it’s been months since i played since release gotta say i always go back to your youtube channel when i need something thank you so much ❤️
as a new player this video feels more like a outlast history lesson than a rating discussion which is nice because most of us already know which are the strongest amps
I like running jammer and x-ray so here's my typical picks X-ray: cacophony, invisible, and incognito This is basically like a ghost build and is great for farming A+ ranks just from how you can basically x-ray on cooldown and I've saved my friends with thrown bottles from cacophony, invisible is just great and since the CD from x-ray is so short you don't need hide and restore, plus the information it provides at times is pretty good to just pop on objectives like collecting the poison on the docks so you can just automatically know where all of the poison is. I know X-ray is seen as debately the worst rig but bruh I just love it. I'm working on my jammer build and will probably try out lock breaker on it instead but it's normally as follows Jammer: Key master, Hide and Restore, Bandage Expert My thought process behind this is that the group I normally play with never picks up lockpicks so there's normally a surplus of them and I'll pretty much always hold one in my inventory then have two bricks/bottles and a bandage. The jammer itself is crazy versatile and if I'm ever without a lockpick I can just pop my jammer then hide for a moment before having it ready again for a trap or door with hide and restore, bandage expert makes it to where I can just jammer/pick a lock open on a med cabinet and give my team the large medicines and be pretty self reliant as the bandages have two uses. Like I said I may experiment with lock breaker instead but I think the value of having one person in the group with a lockpick and a jammer can't go understated and it leaves more bricks for the rest of the group to use in chases or whatever else. Nice tier list though and hopefully my picks for these two builds aren't dog water but I think it's fun to experiment with things that are somewhat off meta.
I agree that the recycle amp should allow you to waste the medicine liquid into the ground if you're in full health. That would make it a strong and very useful amp, but not close to being op
Definitely run noise reduction, smash and incognito. Although i do want to change Noise reduction for lock breaker, its underrated imo and since i have incognito i can break away from a chase just hiding in the dark and crouching down and can more easily maneuver around the enemy while they're aggravated
@@TheKotzwurst you are right right - for breaking time records etc. its better to use smash, but when you play more casually like me, I just want to have "extra" stun ring to do tasks faster (even after the brick upodate :c )
I use "good job" only for my own well-being! When the game is telling me GOOD JOB! at the left side of the screen even after I did literally nothing always makes me happy! And I have like 530h in the game so yeah....the only good use of this crap AMP
I feel like they should reshuffle some amps, respective to player level-ups. For example, strategic use of hiding spots to restore rig/stamina (unlocked quite early at 12-24) is not as straightforward & intuitive for newbies as being invulnerable to door traps (at lvl 42).
Noise reduction, Smash, Last chance - ALWAYS.
Same build I use but swap last chance with incognito
Strongly agree! Will sometimes swap out last chance for boosted for a little gambling fun lol.
I was running that until short circuit came out lol
Evasive is op on trials without double walls or with a good team
I use strong arm instead of smash

Surprised it wasn't mentioned, but evasive also works against pusher if he happens to grab you. So it can be great for avoiding psychosis
I've been waiting for this , the new amps are a great addition because they are really usable

What are the strongest amps
@@Sopranoslover4 of the top off my head per category: Noise Red - Smash - Last Chance

The new battery amp has potential but I don’t think it replaces noise reduction
Thanks for your List 😊❤
Ngl I miss night crawler (old incognito) bc crouching faster in dark areas was a neat mechanic. The increased battery life was a plus too
I agree that the recycle amp should allow you to waste the medicine liquid into the ground if you're in full health. That would make it a strong and very useful amp, but not close to being op
enemy tier list?
What would the list be? Who’s worse to fight or deal with?
Wrong door trap breaker got changed you can bash open doors without dealing with the fear of getting hit
Definitely run noise reduction, smash and incognito. Although i do want to change Noise reduction for lock breaker, its underrated imo and since i have incognito i can break away from a chase just hiding in the dark and crouching down and can more easily maneuver around the enemy while they're aggravated
Pouncers also don't damage you with evasive maneuver equipped
And Gooseberry still fucks you up with bleed, despite not dealing full initial damage
Noise red, strong arm, boosted - the ONLY combo for speed running.
I have to ask, is strong arm still good for that, Id assume most speedrunners swapped to Smash especially after the buff.
@@TheKotzwurst you are right right - for breaking time records etc. its better to use smash, but when you play more casually like me, I just want to have "extra" stun ring to do tasks faster (even after the brick upodate :c )
Nice !
I used to run invisible until they buffed smash.

Trap door breaker will always be better than smash and strong arm!!! I cannot be convinced otherwise!!!
How so?
@ it’s probably unclear that I was being sarcastic but still i use it over those two because those two amps make the game too easy for me personally
