I went and played at Wollombi Music Festival in a little country place which is the entrance to the Hunter Valley. woke up the morning after the festival to the sound of The Staves on the radio, fire burning and good old country laughter drifting across the valley...my first 'The Staves' experience and I'm in love!!!
Something extra ordinary is going on here… I keep getting tears in my eyes as I listen... I can't say why. Thank you Staves. - Black and White, Winter Trees, No me No you, Wisely… they're all brilliant!
Kudos to everyone in the audience. Very respectful to these wonderful ladies.. Just feeling the music and you can tell they are really amazed how great these 3 are.
These sisters are one of the best groups around today, though Emily is raising her children now and The staves are 2 for now. 9 years later and they are evolving and in touch with their muse.
Enjoyed the whole performance and my favorite song is No Me, No You, No More. Indeed, three is magic number and also bless Justin Vernon as their producer for If I Was album!
Goddamm, these girls keep getting better and prettier.Awesome concert. And they didn't even play Facing West, that IMHO is one of the best songs of this century so far.
I've managed to miss them at the last 2 Glastos, did get to see them support Florence + the Machine, but there was too much noise from people not watching, finally got to see them properly last night in Birmingham, and it was a stunning set - go see them if you haven't!
Amazing! The Staves are very special performers with very special material. I cannot pick a favorite song as they are all brilliant. I will say that, though obviously a talented producer, Justin Vernon's presence on stage was no more than a distraction.

Exquisite harmonies and really cool and complex songs. I love the way they move around inside their individual harmony parts. Amazing
Heavily underrated musicians. Such genuine songs.

My 2 favourites - Make It Holy and Steady. Just saw them at the Roundhouse, London. They were fantastic!
The world needs more music like this. You''re doing everything right. Waiting for your performance in Latvia.
I just heard Black and White on our local college radio station, and I liked it so much, I had to hear more. Really nice harmonies
This is phenomenally good and they seem to get better with age.
Make it Holy is my fav also!

These ladies are overwhelmingly classy and pure ... Deepest respect - and love from the bottom of my heart!
These sisters are one of the best groups around today, though Emily is raising her children now and The staves are 2 for now. 9 years later and they are evolving and in touch with their muse.

Too close to call between Steady and Make It Holy for me. At the moment the harmonies of Steady just can't get out of my head it's so amazing.
From the new songs, I'll also choose Make It Holy my favorite. But Black and White, Teeth White and Horizon are excellent songs indeed.
The staves are so amazing

So fucking glad to be seeing these live V soon 🎼❤
Man, at like 3:00, the uke breaks up and cuts out... and it left them singing without it. It's such a happy accident.

Ah, you can't beat 'Wisely & Slow' for vocal harmonies. I love them all though.
Fantastic band!
love Teeth White and Camilla's words before it hahaha~~!
Pretty cool. Love this band and they tried so hard to win over the crowd. Succeeded, I feel.
They're better live, amazing.
I wish they had more live albums!
Wisely & Slow is my favourite! :D
Black and White is the best.
Black and White..... get in my belly.
does anyone know what the other semi-hollow body electric they use is? (not the Gibson ES-335)
+Yoni Satov Its a hofner of some sort!
Justin Vernon of Bon Iver is playing guitar and singing during this excellent performance of Make it holy
SCENES 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Winter Trees ❤
Black and white
This crowd is not worthy. Liven up! America loves you more!!
+Chloe Tollefson It's a Sunday at Glastonbury...give them a break haha
The crowd has respect for the music and musicians. The crowd is awesome. A loud raucous crowd would ruin the afternoon.
Please cover Nick Drake's Pink Moon, then my life would be complete.
I have a new favorite group!
Sorry Jennies. Needs some electric sitar, maybe...
Ugh they didn't do Wisely and Slow when I saw them :( It's so beautiful here
Justin vernon sings one verse in make it holy and I'm crying again
If I die and go to heaven(Hah, yeah that will happen...), and these ladies are not there... I'm fucking leaving, because I know it's not heaven.
Poppy you are so right on track leave him behind
SOOO GEEEEWWD!
btw, is that a green mustache at 4:08 ?
Excellent band, saw them supporting Bon Iver at Wembley. This crowd is truly shite though.

Like all real musicians, WAY better live than in the processed, pasteurized, homogenized studio recordings. There oughta be a law, or something.
