I know this gpu is a beast but it still makes me appreciate handheld pcs that much more. This gpu looks bigger than a onexplayer2 which is a full pc with an 8.4 inch screen n controllers. Yet some how can still run modern games pretty well. I feel like the future of gaming for the next while is going to move away from power n towards efficiency n accessibility. These gpus are overkill. It's at the point of diminishing returns. Give me a gpu with half the power but quarter the size I can put into a mini pc.
Totally agree with you! You know, I feel like it's nividia that just can't get a grip on reality, while AMD has steadily been changing the game.... Hell, AMD is the only reason we have those badass handheld PC's that can run AAA titles! Not because of nividia!

I think this card is a 1440p card honestly. Especially for newer fans completely maxed out. I think the 4080 would provide the best of all things for me. I personally don't mind using DLSS and find it to sharper than native in many games plus it can drive my soon to get OLED C2 no Question.
If you don't mind using DLSS, this is not a 1440p card. This is a 4K card with DLSS in modern games and 4K native in older games. The 4080 barely offers more performance and the only thing going for it is the 16Gb of VRAM, which doesn't matter much with DLSS anyway.
It's only a bit faster than a 2 year old 3080 since Frame Generation is subjective and situational and on top costs ca. 200 USD more. Sorry, that is not good value.
I have a 3060 Ti I was able to find extremely close to RRP. The only reason I want a better videocard is because I want one with 12 GB of VRAM. I did not know Nividia would release a weaker card, but with more VRAM. I am only playing at 1440p anyway. I will have to change my PSU if I ever find one. A Palit 4070 Ti costs 5000 RON (1014 EUR or 1064 USD). A 1000 euro videocard with excellent performance is my goal now, but I can live with just a 3060 Ti.

I recently purchased this card and I like the contrast between a video and reality. I purchased a prebuilt computer in 2020 with a Gigabyte RTX 2080 Super that recently started crashing with black screen and fans throttling to max. I went to their website and it said my 3 year warranty on the card expired but I purchased the computer in July of 2020. I talked to microcenter and they said I needed to call ibuypower and ibuypower said I needed to call gigabyte because the warranty should be from date of purchase. You would thing microcenter would be familiar with that information. Gigabyte did approve an RMA. I decided to take the plunge and purchase a Zotac RTX 4070 Ti and I needed to upgrade the power supply to a 850W Corsair which comes with 3 8pin power cables. One is used for the CPU power on the motherboard leaving you with two. So then I see this three way spit connector in the Zotac box. My other power supplies have the cables hard wired into the design. So I don't have an extra cable laying around. Am I missing something? Now I'm trying to get a single 8 pin ATX cable so I can use an $800 video card. It's 2023 and who still loves connection those single pin connectors from the case to the motherboard power and power reset, and hd led +,-. I think if the try they can make it even more difficult to connect. How about some industry standard.

i got this same gpu and i was sceptical about going zotac, but man, both my last 2 rog strix gpus had coilwhine, my girls radeon 6800xt too, my 2080super gigabyte gaming oc also had it, but this absolutely NOTHING, runs really cool, pulls at most 240-250w while my old 3080 pulled 330-350w in most games, performs GREAT in 3440x1440p but it surely isnt a 4k card, handles 4k yes, turned down settings handles 4k even better, but its still the absolute perfect 1440p card, i wouldnt play 4k with it, im really amazed by zotac tho, they've really stepped up their quality in the last 2-3 years. Your's is running a bit hotter than mine tho but thats probably beacuse of 4k, mine averages around 50-58c in most games, some few games push it to 60-63c but i've never seen it run over 65c no matter the game. on average around 10-20 fps better than my old 3080, in some cases 20-25fps. Noticeable increase.
For someone who wants this for playing MW2 at 1440p on ultra without DLSS not having the numbers makes it big sad. I have a 2080 Ti (/w 12-700k) right now and it cant keep up with 144+hz with everything cranked.. and with how weird this game is turning everything down doesnt do much either... You think I could do 1440p, ultra, no or quality DLSS and keep up with my 165hz monitor?

Your review is balanced, straight forward, goes into the performance and resolutions in regards to the latest games, without all of this "posturing/pessimism" and "negative ego bullcrap". I thank you very much, and I am subscribing to this channel!
Upgrading to a 4070Ti from a gtx 1070. The 4070Ti for €1k destroys the the 3070ti in performance which cost €800. It's on par with the 3090Ti. People saying it is bad value, realize you get double the FPS with a 4070Ti in Cyberpunk for only €200 more, compared to a 3070Ti.
It's getting there slowly but surely. I'm pretty sure we'll reach a point where consumer/gamer gear will be mini-pcs and portable, and the current GPU size will be for workstations.
That's an amazing take, miniaturisation and efficiency FTW
Bro that card is huge i just ordered it not realizing how huge it is thank god my case should be able to fit it
Lol
I'm glad you tested RT settings on Low for Cyberpunk. Thank you!
Kinda doubtful that they'll come out with an ITX version of this.
Yeah I dont see that happening with this gen, Was hoping to see a low profile 3050 at least
@@ETAPRIME The a2000 is pretty much a 1660 super in games. And nvidia did release a low profile version of that card. I guess having to also buy adapters or different cables for video out would make it annoying, but that's worth it.
@@Tagiau Nvidia t400 is perfect for emulation in a sff dell pc

The 4070 TI is a great card. Nvidia released the 4070 TI at $800 that's comparable to a 3090 TI that was launched at $2000.
ETA Prime, you are the most positive person I follow on RUclips. While I mostly see videos of people bashing the 4070 ti on price and just about every other card thanks to the market, you continue to upload nothing but positive content and energy. Appreciate the video and Happy New Year
Some of the other reviewers just want to convey that the new generation is overpriced for what you get.
Nvidia deserves every bit a negative press. They have been extremely greedy.

This overpriced GPU has been a disaster for Nvidia. They are not selling!!!
It just released, they will all eventually sell, mark my words.

Dude!! Congrats, ETA! I’m so grateful you were able and willing to do a day 1 review of a card.
if you want a 4070ti... go buy a 3080 for less...
and also note that nvidia UNLAUNCHED this card as a 4080... then relabeled it a 4070ti when its bottlenecked by its 192 bit bus speed...
oh and with the 3080 partner models you dont have the goofy melting power plug issue
Why are you telling me this information? I said I’m glad ETA had the opportunity to review the card. I didn’t say anything about buying it.
@@krzysztofb9279 to be fair the 4070ti does edge out the 3090ti in performance which you could get cheaper still.

Great review. Any chance you can share the desktop background @3:31?

1070 $379 = 980ti performance
2070 $599 = 1080ti performance
3070 $499 = 2080ti performance
4070 ti is $799

I'm happy with my RTX3060ti .. most of the time I play indie games 😆.. Conan Chop Chop .. Here I come !
Love your videos ETA and always love your takes on items but i'd watch "Gamers Nexus" review first before i dropped about 900 bucks on this garbage card. honestly nvidia has lost me as a consumer with these price. they are little riding the Shitcoin market prices and i refuse to be part of that shit. went to an amd 6800 xt.. is it the most powerful now, nope. but guess what, its a high end gpu and 500-550 bucks brand new. i also dont know a single person who even uses ray tracing so its not even talked about when me and my friends are talking about pc components
3060 Ti is good enough for me! I have other hobbies so I don't need a 4k series. Not upgrading until 2042.
Agreed. Unless you are in an industry that needs that much power, it's pretty much unnecessary.

So, yeah, worse than 10:1, meaning, it's a bad video. And that's with most people not disliking due to the lack of the convectional like/dislike ratio bar.
i got this same gpu and i was sceptical about going zotac, but man, both my last 2 rog strix gpus had coilwhine, my girls radeon 6800xt too, my 2080super gigabyte gaming oc also had it, but this absolutely NOTHING, runs really cool, pulls at most 240-250w while my old 3080 pulled 330-350w in most games, performs GREAT in 3440x1440p but it surely isnt a 4k card, handles 4k yes, turned down settings handles 4k even better, but its still the absolute perfect 1440p card, i wouldnt play 4k with it, im really amazed by zotac tho, they've really stepped up their quality in the last 2-3 years.
Man! This card looks cool.
But i am still wondering when we will see the next good entry level card. We haven't seen one from nvidia in years.
What? You mean you don't want a low end card that's a rebrand/cut version of low/mid tier cards from 2-3 generations ago? Nvidia thinks we do.
May be I dont understand it or maybe i have upgraded from a 1050ti to a 4060ti, but why are people hating on DLSS and frame generation?
For someone who wants this for playing MW2 at 1440p on ultra without DLSS not having the numbers makes it big sad.
I have a 2080 Ti (/w 12-700k) right now and it cant keep up with 144+hz with everything cranked.. and with how weird this game is turning everything down doesnt do much either...
You think I could do 1440p, ultra, no or quality DLSS and keep up with my 165hz monitor?
You dont need upgrade from 2080ti
Maybe I'm just ignorant, but every review complains about the price. It's about what everyone Was paying for 3070 ti, and cost a lot less than a 3090 ti, but Performs about the same. What am I missing?

It shouldn't dip on either card. The game does have traversal and shader compilation stutter which is impossible to avoid.

thats why Linus said Nvidia is lying to you
These are cards meant for 4k 120hz. Setups most people don't even have. Nvidia, if they priced this cheap, it would be some card pushing 300+ at 1440p and be useless for most 1440p users. Considering the setups the 40 class cards are going with it makes sense. I'd buy a 4090 for a setup already costing thousands. 4090 pricing to be able to drive my 83 inch oled with downsampled 8k resolution at above 90 fps... Well 1500 isn't much extra...

Welcome to the results of a 50+% market monopoly, where the only competitor decides to collude on pricing based on the competitor's performance and neither company prices their cards based on how much they cost to manufacture.
4070TI should cost $429 for basic models, and $549 for high end models like this, because the older brother of this isnt not the 3070TI, but the 3060 nonTI
Thats right not even the 3060TI
294mm 192 bit bus 12GB GDDR6X ~$270 MFG cost at 40 series launch 4070TI
276mm 192 bit bus 12GB GDDR6 ~$230 MFG cost at 30 series launch 3060
394mm 256 bit bus 8GB GDDR6X ~$340 MFG cost at 30 series launch 3070TI
The 4070TI again should cost about $429 to $550 because it is just a 4060 with a new name and a 100w OC
The same is true for the 16GB 4080, really just the follow up to the 3070TI
4080 has a smaller die the same memory bus, and trades the 8x1GB GDDR6X for 8x2GB GDDR6X that is slightly faster
A fair price for the 4080 is around $649 to $769 but the price of parts for these cards is currently in a downward spiral because of the low demand, i wouldnt be surprised if the 4080 eventually becomes cheaper to manufacture than the 3070TI
I just bought this card and im so bervous i got scammed. I spent like 2500 on mine and i hope its good

They did offer as a comparable model a RTX 4070 ti TUF that I believe was renamed to the 4070 ti which it was to suppose to be named 4080 if I am correct if not correct me. Is it a comparable replace for my RTX 3080 TI? they gave me like 3 days to reply back so yeah. This is for anyone if they wish to way in please and thank you. BTw the price different is like $288 difference because i bought my gpu at $1.288 and the rtx 4070 ti is going for $1089 over here where I am at shipped and sold by Amazon and the RTX 3080 ti when I bought it I bought it brand new.
Hard to get excited with new GPU releases due to pricing. While the 3000-4000 series huge step up from previous gen cards, the prices are ridiculous. The RTX 2000 series while not steep, the performance upgrade is little. Boys should not simply dump money on new shiny gaming products. Even if this costs $500, 407Oti still steep, still hard buy vs an already inflated PS5/Xbox price.
