My old version of Word (for Mac) showed the number of words until the position of the cursor. This is essential for knowing where you are in a text in case you need to send a specified portion for review (say, first 10,000 words). Now I have to select the entire portion and count it--which is highly impractical if you are on page 250 of a 300 page manuscript. What happened to the up-to-cursor count? You don't cover that.
Thank you for watching! As far as I am aware, that feature no longer available. However, you can use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + fn + left arrow to select all of the text from your cursor to the start of the document. I hope that helps!
