If you guys do a temporary reunion tour in 8 or 10 years, I'll absolutely be there. Pretty sure I've never seen them, *_unless_* they were one of the many relatively new acts (at the time - this would've been like September of '99) at a huge 2-day annual thing at the Virginia Beach Amphitheater. I can't recall all of the 20+ bands that played between the two stages that weekend, but I'm pretty sure Godsmack and then Kid Rock were the final two last-day headlining acts on the main stage that year. I wish my memory served me better... But I do hope I get one more opportunity in the future to see the band play live. It would mean the world to actually *_know_* I got to see at least one show.
Man must be hurting based on this album. It's amazing seeing the emotions of the writer reflected in their songs.. Seethers latest album was full of anger and disdain - Godsmacks is full of pain and sadness.
As a 52 yr man who lost his dad at the age of four, growing up with a less than ideal step dad & a dysfunctional family structure & some abuse... Let me just say this, growing up as I did lead to drinking, some drugs, severe anger, all the wrong women blah blah blah... Stepping back & seriously looking at my life as my son was born I made him a promise. I told him... Son I promise to be the best dad I can be. I never broke that promise not once. The hardest part was thinking back to what I needed as a child at that age. I had to be mentally strong even tho I was not. Long story short is this... I've always longed & needed to hear the words from a male role model that I respected " you did good" " I am proud of you" " I love you son" I know I will never hear those words in my lifetime. But my son hears them every chance I get to tell him. He doesn't realize yet why I do it as often as I do. One day he will😎 Anyways, this song hits me hard..!!! Thank you Sully..!!!
